Wait they have big teeth? (Dev thread for Tikulini hide)

@Zaden @Krest @Alexandra Cinthra @[member="Nickolas Imura"]

"Well...stories go that even a lightsaber can't penetrate their skin," she told them as she went up the small durasteel stairs that lead to the cockpit, "And if that's the case, you can bet blasters probably won't do much good."

"Their hide can be used for a number of things. Most folk use it for armor... or they make a nifty tent." she said in teasing.

"Buckle up, we'll be leaving in five."

Krest works his way onto the ship before plopping down in a seat. He shrugged a bit, setting his hands behind his head. "Lightsaber resistant huh? Maybe I'll look into using it for a sheath or something.." He mumbled on, lost in his own head of designs and blueprints.

Alexandra nodded and took her seat before pulling the harnass over her form, securing it tightly even iof she didnt need to do such. Her eyes traced the ship around her and took in the details and electronics of their guide's vessel, it was certainly able but was their guide she wondered. Ah it didnt matter, no instead she would wait and see, knowing the energy resistant capabilities thus why she brought physical weaponry.

Deciding that the best choice to do at the moment, was to sit down and buckle up, I did so. Taking my cloak off, it revealed my left arm and all of its figure, I then pulled the straps around me as we were going to be heading off. "if it's strong enough to resist a lightsaber, on the outside, then can it withstand it on the inside?"

Chloe gave a wide grin at Nickolas direction, coming to a pause just beside the rounded entrance to the cockpit. "Well now, I reckon we'll just have to find out, won't we?" she said with a wry grin, impish mirth dancing in her eyes.

"Make yourselves at home. We'll be at our destination soon."

True to her word, within five minutes the Aurora Hawk's engines roared with life. After that, punching through the atmosphere, Chloe typed in the coordinates that would lead them to Jazbina.

Quick as can be under her skilled hands, the YZ-1200 soon jumped into warp, the mottled blue tunnel of hyperspace forming around them.

Zaden strapped himself in and smiled as the engines roared to life. @[member="Chloe Blake"] piloted them expertly to orbit and moments later the stars streaked by as they entered hyperspace. He kept quiet as the others discussed the details of the monster they were to encounter. It sounded dangerous, but as Zaden looked around at his companions, he smiled, so were they...

It didn't take long for them to arrive at their destination. Within a few standard hours, the Aurora burst out from hyperspace into the Jazbina System.

There the blue green orb shone through the glasteel viewport, a cerulean halo surrounding it. Chloe couldn't get enough of the sight of planets such as these whenever she exited from warp. There was beauty in this Galaxy, forged by the Gods themselves. She thanked them for it in a small prayer, before leading the YZ-1200 into the atmo.

Jazbina was a planet known for luxurious aromatic baths and sun crystals -- which she'd also be hunting for during this expedition. It was almost akin to Tatooine in terms of arid climate; certainly had it's fair share of deserts, cities, and mines.

It was the mines, however, that would be their point of interest. Thankfully, those that they were headed off to were abandoned, so the wouldn't have to tangle with the local folk.

Then again, not many are keen on tackling on a full grown Tikullni. Most spacers considered them to be mere myth; but Chloe had seen her fair share of myths and legends full of life.

This would be no different.

Taking the comm in hand, she pressed the button with her thumb and gave the heads up. "Well be approaching the mines soon folks, best to get your gear ready. Gonna be wandering around some mineshafts soon."

Krest stepped out of the ship, hands behind his head. This planet was probably the closest he'd get to home during his travels, but this wasn't a time to be remembering home. He had all the gear he needed for this, so he was more then ready to go down into the mine. He followed @[member="Chloe Blake"], a grin on his face. "Mineshafts. Gotta love that."

Alexandra stepped out as well, her armor tight and her weapons ready and strapped to her body. She tucked her sabers away so that they were on her person incase all else failed, though it is likely she would not need them in the end result. "After you then, i insist." She patted Krest shoulder and waited for the others at the end of the ramp, pulling off the rifle and readying it while she did so, loading the slugthrower casing into the highpowered rifle so that she would be ready on a moment's notice. @[member="Krest"] @[member="Chloe Blake"]

I was silent the entire ride there. Not caring that nobody looked at me. Letting the cloak that I wore come off, it showed the Sith poison that ran in my veins. My left arm having claws and very strong. I knew that I had a very dark signature for someone of my rank in the force. Even then, I kind of liked it. Allowing me to be alone when I wanted to. Though, it never attracted some of the ladies.

Walking out after them with no armor, and only three weapons, going to face a beast that was many, many times my size, I just had to think about how bad of a situation I was in. The planet was nice, but under its surface was a nightmarish myth, while I myself was nice, and had one as well, and probably just as scary.

Zaden slung his bag over this shoulder and walked down the ramp of the Aurora Hawk and stood with the others. He was only armed with his Tehk'la blade, the rest of his gear was made up of survival equipment. He had an ascension gun, but that was it's only function.
He looked around at his comrades, they were all different and possessed unique skills. Zaden wasn't here for his massive armament. In fact, the real reason he had agreed to come on this mission was to simply see if the myths were real.

"Well here we are!" came Chloe's chirpy jovial voice, coming on down to meet them just outside of the ship. A wide grin graced her features, as she panned her gaze over them.

"Ya'll got your gear and all right?" she asked them, wanting to make sure that they were not unprepared, "Worse thing to do is to be kilometers deep in that mine only to realize you forgot your shiv," she said in a lighthearted joke.

Her expression turned serious,"Now the way this is gonna work, we all stick together -- don't go wandering by yourselves in those mines, it be easier to get lost in a few footsteps than you think. There are mineshafts, unstable tunnels, and once we grace what we came here for... you can bet that things are going to get all kinds of crazy. Keep your wits about you and we'll do just fine. Don't try any crazy herotics by yourself; if we work as a team, we'll take this down as a team. Got it?"

She would wait for their reply before she would take out a headlamp to wiggle just over her forehead. "Well.. let's get going then!" she said with a wide grin, encouraging them to follow her down to the mines.

Hearing the woman's speech about staying together, I just had to smile at it. She was telling us that by sticking together that we could take down this beast together. Carrying on my back was a vibrosword, along with a lightsaber that was on my belt, but in my hands was a blaster rifle that was used primarily against Force users. it also had a three round chamber that could fire a grenade. I smiled as this may be useful if hit in the right section of the beast. I thoguht about maybe by firing one of them into the maw of the beast, it would blow it up from the inside out. If it didn't ruin the skin, then it would just tear up the beast. From there, all we had to do was wear it down.

Turining to her as she wanted to make sure that we were ready, I nodded my head, "As ready as I will ever be." Really no one person could ever be ready for a fight. They only had to be ready for the known, before they would be taken over by the unknown. I just prayed to the gods that there was nothing unknown in here.

Alexandra followed with her feet light on the ground, watching the walls of the tunnels. Her eyes fell on the others though, studying them as well as the others.

Zaden patted his pack and smiled. "I'm ready when you are."
Zaden agreed with her tactics. Staying together was the only way to stay alive. He nodded his approval.

And so they were off.

This was a bit like that new hologram game called Minecraft. In they went. It was dark, damp, and very dangerous. Well, because you might slip of course!

But the mineshafts were unstable, one couldn't just walk forward without getting a good look, otherwise you might find yourself falling down into a deep ravine.

Or a lava pit.

With a massively bright headlamp, Chloe wandered into the tunnels, keeping a wary eye out. So far so good. There were some cobwebs all over, once she had to brush to the side.

"Careful.... first sign of cave spiders are these things." she warned.

Following the woman down into the mine shafts, she already mentioned the Cave spiders. And well, something more for me to battle against was not good. I may have been a fairly good shot, and okay with my use of a vibrosword, but that was nothing compared to the others around me. Using lightsabers or having more skills than I. I shook m head, wanting to just find one of these worms, and be done with this. However, we had to search for one first.

"I have a bad feeling about this."

A whimsical grin came from the Warden as she cleared a path of the cobwebs.

"Just gotta keep your wits about you Nick!" came her singsong voice, despite the level of seriousness in the matter. She wasn't kidding, beyond the web of silk lay four pairs of eyes.

Cave spiders.

And they were none too happy with getting a light shoved to their rather sensitive faces. In seconds, came a clicking sound of mandibles as eight pointed feet quickly had the spider scurry over towards them to attack!

Chloe was ready, bringing her QQ-83N Sidearm up to send a volley of particle beams at it.
