- Helmet: Featuring Flash Goggles, an Integrated Comlink, a Breathing Mask, and made of Durasteel with a Zeyd-Cloth Lining, the Helmet represents the usual versatile and solid yet simple design that many of the Wonosan armor sports.
- Control Box: Housing the suit's Life Support system and connected to the Helmet via tubing, the Control Box is made of Durasteel and is by far the most fragile part of the suit.
- Boots: Insulated and equipped with basic Magno-Grip technology.
- Insulated and Sealed: The suit itself, but especially the gloves and boots, are insulated and as such help to keep the wearer safe in case of electric sparks and even small fires. In addition the entire suit is sealed and pressurized, meaning that it can act as a very basic and temporary EVA Suit if necessary.
- Independent Operation: The standard systems integrated into the suit allow for the wearer to communicate and operate most vehicles without the need for said craft to have any Life Support or communication systems of its own. While not meant for direct combat, the helmet and suit itself are relatively sturdy and can withstand glancing blows from various types of weapons without too much risk to the wearer.
- Sealed: Given the suit's pressurized and sealed nature, donning or unequipping the suit takes a fair amount of time to do. Quickly pulling it on and having it work to any sort of efficient capacity is simply not possible aside from the main body of the suit itself.
- Delicate Machinery: Despite the Durasteel casing, the Life Support tubing and Control Box itself are fairly exposed and weak. A glancing shot or significant enough impact could easily destroy or severely damage the system overall as a result.
As the growing military forces within the Order of Wonosa expanded their reach into more complex and standard space operations, the need for starfighter pilots became more and more apparent. While the starfighters that the cult developed were fairly safe and had life support systems built into them, the low numbers of the cult and the even lower numbers of pilots were too much of a concern to ignore.
So, after much trial and error as well as the study of various flight suits obtained from and produced by various groups, the W-1 was crafted. Pilot survivability was a top priority for the engineers developing it and this is reflected in the, rather redundant, pressurized and sealed nature of the suit. Even if life support systems aboard a ship are lost or the pilot themselves are stranded on some remote asteroid or planet, the suit ensures that such problems are of little issue.
