STRENGTHS
  • Strength in Unity: Despite a relatively average, or even lacking depending on your definition, loadout the fighter is a solid fit as a basic ship in any fleet. While not excellent or unique the ship is easy to maintain and works well in coordination with most others due to its general purpose design.
  • Easy to Learn: With much of the control schemes being borrowed or based off of various smuggler and civilian vessels, the Massassi is fairly easy to pilot. This simplicity extends to the weaponry as well, meaning that training to use the ship is a relatively quick affair.
WEAKNESSES
  • Uninspired: The Massassi, due to both material and manufacturing limitations, is fairly unremarkable. While average in most aspects, nothing makes the fighter stand out or any more viable than any other.
  • Formation Fighter: Being basic in armament and design, the Massassi is not meant to operate alone by any means. No hyperdrive or special features limits the independence of the fighter in general, and the lacking specialization makes formation and squadron fighting a necessity.
DESCRIPTION

The Massassi, easily the greatest asset produced and fielded by the Order of Wonosa, is an unremarkable and basic yet very functional starfighter. Initially inspired by other designs across the history of the Sith, the development of the Massassi was a time consuming and hectic affair. The engineers of the cult and their corporate suppliers went back and forth between various factors and ideas. Cost, ease of use, reliability, standardization, and many more such topics lead to heated debates.

Eventually however the project was reevaluated and new designs from more common and available fighters were examined and factored in. After much trial and error the first of the Massassi were produced and unleashed upon a small pirate base at the edge of the Formos system. Despite the inexperience of the pilots flying them the first of the starfighters performed very well.

Coordinated and careful tactics lead to the pirate base being ravaged by the squadron, earning the Massassi a place among the new assembly lines of Formos.
