Strengths:
Unassuming: The Starhawk all and all is not a very imposing vessel. The Ship is generally painted in a gray and orange color scheme, shaped much like an avian creature of sort and rounded out with neat fitting edges to appear like a regular diplomatic vessel. The ship has no visible weapons and even sensors are hard pressed to pick up its internal armanents. The ship all and all looks like a very simple diplomatic vessel, to most pirates it would appear an easy target.

Armed: Despite its unassuming visage the Starhawk is actually quite heavily armed. At the stern of the vessel tucked beneath its arrowhead like appearance is a VT-Particle Gatling. The Starhawk is the first ship in the galaxy to feature the Particle Gatling, and as the weapon requires the ship was designed to suit its use. The Weapon is generally hidden beneath the skin of the ship, dropping down only when used and mounted on a three hundred and sixty degree turret. The Weapon is capable of doing massive damage, stripping away armor and eating through shielding quite easily. Though the weapon is powerful it also has massive drawbacks*. Along with the Particle Gatling the Starhawk also features two hidden Proton Torpedo Tubes at its prow.

Weaknesses:
Particle Gatling Drawbacks: The Particle Gatling is an incredibly powerful weapon, however as with every powerful weapon the Particle Gatling has substantial drawbacks. The first of these drawbacks if the weapons heavy powerdraw. Whenever the Particle Gatling fire sit draws upon the ships main reactor, pulling away energy from other functions of the ship. This causes the Starhawks Shields to temporarily go down while the weapon is in use and for one to two seconds after. The second drawback is the mount of the Particle Gatling. The weapon is located on the underbelly of the ship on a rotating turret mount, this means when the weapon is in operational mode it is vulnerable to targeting. Missiles and torpedos can easily be locked onto the weapons energy signature, and the striking of the Particle Gatling would likely cause an instant chain reaction and destruction of the Starhawk.

Light Armor: The Starhawk, like most Diplomatic vessels, is not heavily armored. The ship has shields and enough weapons to defend itself. This ship is not an attack vessel whoever, and though it is capable of doing quite a bit of damage, the vessel itself is not meant for combat situation.

Description:
The VT-Starhawk is designed as a small push for Vanir Technologies into the greater market of Galactic Governments and other higher class Markets.

The Starhawk is in short term a diplomatic vessel in the same vein as the Consular-Class Cruiser used by the Old Republic. The ship itself is not meant as an attack vessel, nor was it meant to be an assault ship or a troop carrier. This design aspect can be seen throughout the creation of the ship and even in its general shape.

The vessel has no sign of gun ports, assault attachments, or even smaller fighter bays.

In general the Starhawk looks completely innocent, unarmed and unarmored painted in a standard gun metal gray and suited for the roll of a diplomatic vessel or perhaps a luxury star yacht.

However, in true Vanir Technologies form, the Starhawk is not exactly what it seems. As with all things that come from Vanir Technologies the Starhawk has a small twist. This twist comes in the form of hidden weapons tucked beneath the Starhawk initial hull plating. These weapons are securely placed behind mechanically driven panels that retract and pull apart to reveal the vessels armament. The ship comes standard equipped with three weapons.

The first of these weapons, and most important, is the VT-Particle Gatling. This newly designed and extremely powerful weapon was built functionally into each of these ships. This means that each Starhawk comes equipped with a VT-Particle Gatling because each ship was quite literally built around these weapons. The Particle Gatling is a Rotary Particle gun that packs enough of a punch to threaten most ships of the Starhawks class and even above. However, this weapon has major drawbacks and leaves the ship itself more than a little vulnerable, making its use dangerous, and thus the Particle Gatling generally serves as little more than a distraction.

The other two weapons equipped aboard the Starhawk are simple, but ever effective Proton Torpedo Launchers. These two weapons are located at the prow of the ship, hidden beneath two thick Dallorian Alloy panels that retract when the weapons are about to be used.

All in all, the VT-Starhawk is a diplomatic vessel that is capable of defending itself if the need should arise, the perfect ship for ambassadors of the Galactic Alliance.
