Vitae Alliance is now a major faction, and just as when we were minor, we are still looking for members to join Our cause.

If you like, adventure, being the hero, Life, Freedom, and Unity of the galaxy, then this is the place for you! Non-restricting in terms of alignment, we allow all sorts of people into our halls, so long as you can follow and aid with our three tenets (its a lot easier than sith or jedi codes).

We're made of four orders.

Tenevi (Force user)
Grey(Force user training)
Armis(Diplomatic)
Beren(NFU military)

Beren is currently made just for NFU's and we want this to be filled, as I've said in every other advertisement. Come one come all, and if you have an idea for how to improve our NFU branches, join and I'm happy to work with you on it.

We are fairly unique in that we offer a place where you can practically help build us in terms of NFU roles and this allows a great deal of freedom. We also believe that NFU's should and will hold ranks equal to any of our force users, while some other factions by default make FU's higher ranked simply because they have that mystic power on their side.

We have three beliefs, Life, Freedom, and Unity in that order. We protect life an will not take it unless there is no other option. We believe everyone should be free and we want a Galaxy unified, not divided. We are kind a grey fraction, but we have even former soth in our ranks. We are basically the watch dogs of the Galaxy. I am sure, [member="Vulpesen"] can go into more detail, but that is a nutshell.

To go off of what Hakora stated, we are a grey faction, dedicated to the defense of Life Freedom and Unity. Joining us means that you follow the desire to aid and defend others. Missions I intend for the faction to do include humanitarian aid, stopping genocides, and the taking down of corrupt people. The way we're different form the jedi is, we don't have some big complicated code to cloud our judgement with moral questions. We get it done, and move on o the next crisis.

I won't lie, that doesn't seem like a Grey group at all. You're actively helping those who can't help themselves, and fighting against corruption.


That falls under lightsided. The only way that's grey is if your methods themselves are dark, which in turn makes the Vitae hypocrites.

Don't get me wrong, I love writing hypocritical characters (Ferus is a big one). I just wanna understand this a bit better.

How is using the Darkside to achieve a goal in which frees people hypocritical. You mistake the darkside for something that cant be used to achieve good. Ive played this character with that very philosophy for months Ferus and not once have i heard someone take offense to Solan doing doing so.

You can't tell me that by burning people with Force Lightning because they burned other people with Force Lightning -isn't- hypocritical. Attacking people who use the darkside using the darkside to fight them is the embodiment of hypocrisy.


In this universe the Darkside is a cancer that perverts and twists someone to the point that what they think is right really isn't.

Yes, methods are twisted by the darkside but the darkside can still be used for the greater good and at times can be used to confront the darkside itself. Its like the term fight fire with fire. You are turning their own weapon against them and those with considerable will can stave off the mental corruption for a decent amount of time. Remember, we oppose those that violate the codes of Life, Unity, and Freedom. WE do not hate the darkside nor do we want it gone as we understand there needs to be dark for there to be light.

They exist... we follow many of their philosophies. Not all darkside is evil. Just most of it.

Lets not start putting words in my mouth or start attacking me because I asked a question. But sure. Using the darkside to kill darksiders is understandable, and explains why Grey instead of just lightside.

It was an observation based on what I've seen. We've both attached each other in the past. So we both know that if that had been my intention, it'd be a lot more obvious.

Let me see if I can help the understanding why we are grey. Force lightning, evil dark side act right? What if you use it to power a generator to save a city? Or look at the movies, Anakin gave in to the dark side and ended the war by killing Dooku, while what followed made it all dark side, it didn't have to be. A light Sider would have captured him and let him stand trail. If Hakora was there he would have quickly weighed the pros and cons and finally concluded Dooku needed to die because he was too much a threat to leave alive and he would size millions with one death.

To me a Grey Jedi is still a Jedi, but uses the dark side rarely, but mainly does things a Jedi wouldn't. Like Darth Revan, he was brain washed by the Sith Emperor to become Darth, but before that they were both Jedi who disobeyed the Jedi to wage war on the Mandalorians. Not a war to conquer or kill, but to save. That is why they are grey. They did not wait for the Force to tell them to act like the Jedi, but they did not fight to conquer and destroy like a Sith.
