OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Virmse ra Dvasia
  • Designation: Sentient
  • Homeworld: Bastion
  • Language: Basic
  • Average Lifespan: 100 years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: At a glance, they resemble nothing more than dark robes and the armor that they were bound to, each suit different depending on the Sith Lord's or Lady's personal preferences. Under the armor is a wispy smoke-like or mist-like humanoid form.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Don't need to breathe
  • Average height of adults: 2.1 meters
  • Average length of adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Has no skin
  • Hair color: Has no hair
  • Distinctions: The most distinctive physical trait of the Virmse ra Dvasia is the smoky or misty bodies that are contained within their robes and armor. Beyond that, their armor and robes are what define them in the physical sense as they are designed to be agents of fear against the Sith's enemies
  • Races: No other races
  • Strengths:
  1. The Virmse ra Dvasia are able to use their original Smoke Demon ability of consuming a being by surging out of their armor temporarily in a rush of smoke and engulfing an enemy.
  2. They cannot be harmed by blaster bolts or slugthrowers, attributed to their original resistance for the former and they are made of smoke for the later.
  3. The Virmse ra Dvasia are able to project an aura of fear around themselves that is on the same level of potency as the Kakdijs Zuta.
  4. Using their telepathic and fear-creating abilities, they can also induce illusions into an opponent's mind from a distance.
  5. They possess physical strength on par with a Wookiee, and combined with its armor and the melee weapons provided for them by their Sith Masters, they are a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.
  6. They have an enhanced ability to learn and retain information, allowing them to perform multiple roles for their masters.
  • Weaknesses:
  1. Force Light can destroy the Virmse ra Dvasia outright
  2. A Force Nullification field such as made by a ysalamir or Voidstone will cause their bodies to break apart, killing them and leaving only their robes and armor behind.
  3. Lightsabers can destroy them if they get past the armor or when they leave the armor in their surging attack.
  4. Their telepathic attack, while it can be used at a distance, loses its potency the further away an enemy is or if that enemy is trained to protect against such mental attacks/have a natural immunity.
  5. Their aura of fear can be resisted by those with a powerful enough will, typically Masters of the Force or particularly stubborn individuals.
  6. Direct sunlight can weaken their abilities, resulting in their strength decreasing and their fear being able to be overcome more easily.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Life and Force energy
  • Communication: Can speak Basic and use telepathy to communicate their orders silently
  • Technology level: They can use Galactic Standard technology in service of their masters, but they prefer to use lesser forms of tech
  • Religion/Beliefs: Upon their creation, they are immediately instilled with a zealous loyalty to their Sith Lords, so much so they have formed their own pseudo-religion in honor of the Sith. Each Virmse ra Dvasia will ritually sacrifice captured prisoners in the name of their master, creating strange runes and designs that only they understand that they believe can pass the offered life force to their master.
  • General behavior: Due to how they were created, and the goal of creating individualistic lieutenants for the Sith, they don't necessarily have a general behavior. What is shared among all of them is a propensity to spread fear among their enemies and apreviously mentioned loyalty to their dark masters and their goals, and they will carry out their orders as faithfully as they can. Each created has a unique personality, partly created in the binding process each goes through to their individual masters, but two underlying traits they all share is an intense cruelty and belief that they alone are the superior beings to serve the Sith, above all other creations or men.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

When one is summoned to a meeting with the Dark Lord's Shadow Hand, one tends to drop whatever they are working on and attend such a meeting. In the Lady of Secrets' case, [member="Darth Prazutis"] was revealing something to her that she had never been aware of. In the midst of his experiments, the Shadow Hand had discovered that some Siqsa, Smoke Demons in Basic, exhibited actual sentience, understanding what the Shadow Hand and his servants were saying. He had summoned her to Bastion to witness such an event... and to figure out a way for the Sith to take advantage of this discovery.

The idea became to, instead of binding the Smoke Demon to a specific spellcaster, bind them to a suit of alchemized armor, forcing them to inhabit it and then serve the Sith Lord or Lady that placed a blood rune in the control circle of Sith runes. The resulting creature would then be a loyal lieutenant and assassin for the Sith Lord it served. Their abilities as a Smoke Demon are retained, but through the binding process, additional knowledge was imparted to them so they can understand exactly to best serve their masters.

I am consistently impressed how you manage to balance out your Sithspawn. This isn't the first time that I start reading your strengths, raise my eyebrows, but then take a look at your weaknesses and see tangible ways to permanently disable these pretty powerful creations.

Kudos on that.

Souped-up smoke demons that remind me of the ringwraiths, I dig it, pending secondary approval!
