OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a horde unit for Eldervine Eldervine 's Host
  • Role: Infantry
  • Permissions: This
  • Links: NA
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Vine Horde
  • Affiliation: Eldervine Eldervine
  • Classification: (Infantry)
  • Description: The Spawns of the Eldervine are a massive number of ill-shaped creature-like formations of labyrinthic vines that blend together in horrific figures which serve only one purpose: Harvest
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Large
  • Unit Availability: Common
  • Unit Experience: Rabble
  • Equipment: NA
  • Combat Function: Infantry
Strengths:
  • Wild Host. The Vine Hordes are spawns of the Eldervine. Numbering in their thousands, these savage miscreated creatures hold no allegiance to any creature beyond the Eldervine Eldervine
  • Tide of the Eldervine. Charging forth in their numbers, these shape-shifting abominations can easily inflict dread with their savage nature and horrific appearance to any foe... or Harvest Subject...
Weaknesses:
  • Savage. These creatures do not have any technological or civilization awareness, which makes them completely unable to use any form of technology such as weapons, or armor, to their advantage. This makes them susceptible to enemy fire and long-range attacks or artillery.
  • Numbers over Quality. Although countless in their numbers, each individual Vine is not able to withstand a battle without the support of its kin. This may make them a horrifying foe to face in a pitched battle, yet if tech is used against them, it may be proven easy to decimate their Hosts.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Vine Hordes are massive hosts of Eldervine spawns, known as the Vines. These abominable monstrocities charge against their enemies, craving to harvest. Incapable and unwilling to accept or embrace any form of civilization, these creatures are the most numerous spawns of the Eldervine's Wild Host, which are meant to overwhelm and destroy the enemies who stand inbetween the Eldervine and the Harvest.

The Eldervine spawns are creatures brought to life by the Eldervine Eldervine , as extentions of its own self and will. Children, to it, these spawns are branches of its own entity which follow he Eldervine's will and path as puppet creatures. Ofcourse, their capabilities and endurance is much, much less, when compared to the Eldervine Eldervine . Formed by its roots and extended branches, the Spawns in turn can further create additional, lesser spawnlings on their own, while they can wrap themselves around both equipment, as well as individuals, allowing them to utilize tem for their purposes.

When it comes to battle, the Vine Hordes serve as the bulk of the Eldervine's spawn armies, clearing the path for the heavier, stronger spawns to push ahead.

Irratar Hemstagon Irratar Hemstagon thanks for clarifying.

The only issue is see is under classification. You’ve called them Eldervine Spawns and in parenthesis have listed infantry. Infantry is actually an example of what we’re looking for there.

This is likely where my confusion was coming from. Description and Historical Information seem to cover this for you, so I’d just take spawns out of classification and keep infantry.

Since I have you doing that can you expand on the history also. Your description there doesn’t really tell me how they came to be or if they have any notable battles etc. That would be great for anyone reading the sub to understand them better.
