Description:
Since the creation of the standard and modern Mandalorian armor, glaring weaknesses have often been pointed out from time to time. One of which, exploited in hand to hand by melee specialists and Force users alike, is the small, lightly armored or unarmored area between the neck and the helmet of the beskar'gam. For a time, a gorget was added to help prevent exploitation of that weakness and repel blows to the area, but very few could afford full beskar gorgets to protect against decapitations while facing Force users.
With the advent of Mandal Hypernautics' Videk Gaid, literally meaning 'Neck [Armor] Plate', many more can afford the protection against lightsabers than ever before.
Made of top grade Phrik mined from Roche, the Videk Gaid is easily worn under or over the armor and comes in a variety of styles and shapes to fit the buyer's preferences.
