Description: VI Argo is not a true Artificial Intelligence, as such he's incapable of emotions, intuition, and the other hallmarks of what make a true AI. He does do a rather good job of imitating it however and someone just meeting him could easily mistake him as such. He is designed as a ship VI and is thus capable of fully controlling all non-automatic functions such as navigation, fire control, communications, and so on. An example of something he can't control would be the life support beyond basic HAVC functions like temperature. He can also order droids about at the same level a crewmen could but can't take direct control of them. As for controlling the ship, VI Argo is fully capable of doing everything you'd build a ship for, but if he tries to do everything himself during combat he'll start making mistakes, and wont act as fast as would be expected during a fight due to the processing time of so much data. In other words, if you want more than basic navigation and some alright weapon control, you'll need organic crew manning the ship.

Part of VI Argo's design had protocol droid influences to ease his interaction with the crew when aiding them in tasks. To that end, he was imprinted with a friendly yet no-nonsense personality with a warm voice like that of a kind and wise old man, a father-figure of sorts that you'd expect a kind and helping hand from. His holographic representation mimics this and even wears robes similar to a jedi's to invoke the association of their wisdom and power. Also programmed into him is an intense personal loyalty to Domino and he will disregard arguments against her no matter how logical. Theoretically this could be turned against him if something is presented as helpful to her, but only if it doesn't contradict standing orders of hers or someone else she's told him has command authority.

While he can be used as an electronic butler by Domino and a tactical aid by the crew, VI Argo's primary purpose is as a caretaker of the ship. As such he directs the maintenance droids, monitors functions for unusual activity, scans the surroundings, acts as cyber security, and if the crew abandon ship or are otherwise incapacitated, he can take control of its defenses or even jump it away to avoid capture or theft. The fourth degree programming allows him to be proactive in his defense, either by firing on a ship that isn't overtly hostile or by outright murder should his programming deem someone an immediate threat to his ship or crew. Needless to say, this last detail could cause problems in a remorseless logic-driven machine without emotional capacity. As such, threats are typically brought to the duty-officer's attention for evaluation.
