Vestra Tane is a tall-ish young woman of average, moderately athletic build. A consummate explorer, she has developed good stamina and endurance over her adventures. A consummate scoundrel, she's also developed sharp reflexes and high agility, the better to flee from danger or get in the first punch in a brawl. Her strength is only average, however - certainly strong enough to break a jaw if she gets a solid punch in, but there are certainly much bigger, much stronger fighters out there.
Vestra is, psychologically speaking, just an utter mess. She possesses an enduring love - and lust - for knowledge, and her knowledge of Galactic History in particular is surprisingly vast. She is an exceptionally quick learner, feverishly studious, and a copious note-taker. She's jovial and friendly to most everyone she meets, at least at first, and is always willing to share just about any information with anyone willing to do the same for her.
Vestra is also, it is worth noting, selfish, self-centered, and hot tempered. While not particularly cruel in her day to day life, she has a tendency towards pettiness and grudge-keeping. She is perhaps frighteningly dishonest, able tell almost any lie without a hint of guilt, and is an unrepentant hedonist to boot. She possesses no loyalties beyond the interpersonal, and even those are shaky sometimes - put simply, Vestra is willing to betray anyone for the right price, unless she is deeply attached to them, utterly terrified of them, or in need of something only they can get her. In an utterly shocking display of personal awareness, Vestra seems to understand what this tendency towards betrayal does to her relationships - betraying her in turn is perhaps the only slight against her she won't hold against someone.
The first weapon Vestra ever learned to use was the humble knife, and it shows - her approach to combat is less "don't get hurt" and more "make sure you can walk at the end, and the other guy can't." In a melee, she's fast, vicious, and just a bit unhinged; eye gouging, kneecapping, and groin shots are all hallmarks of her style. None of this is to say that she's a fight-to-the-last-breath kind of girl, or that her style of combat is artless; it takes skill to win a fight, and if Vestra starts to think she'll lose one, she has no qualms about turning tail and running...or faking surrender, for that matter.
Vestra's use of the Force is similar; feral, unhinged, but not stupid. Being almost entirely self-taught up to this point, her techniques encompass mostly just the basics; enhancing her physical capacities, boosting her senses, making wounds stop hurting, and a bit of telekinesis and mind-trickery here and there. She has, however, learned the barest hint of Sorcerous power, though she is understandably reluctant to show it off - or share where she learned this Dark little trick.
