VERDANT MYTAG CRYSTAL
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Sable Interplanetary
  • Affiliation: Sable Interplanetary
  • Market Status: Closed-Market
  • Model: Mytag Crystal
  • Modularity: Facet Attunement (Classified technique, not public knowledge.)
  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Material: A powdered mix of REDACTED passed through an REDACTED fusion core before injection of REDACTED over a period of REDACTED years.
PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Synthetic Mineral
  • Weight: Very Light
  • Color: Green
  • Resistances: Resistances of this material should not be seen as a statement of viability as shielding or armor. It's a brittle, fragile crystal.
    • Energy: Very High- see 'EMP/ION'.
    • Kinetic: None
    • Lightsabers: None
    • Sonic: None
    • EMP/ION: Extreme: This substance was created to focus, amplify, and physically encrypt both light and electric signals. This is its sole purpose.
    • Elemental: None
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A transceiver with an Amplification Drive Core made of Verdant Mytag Crystal passes all Lux Triode signals through the crystal, with each passage through each facet of the crystal transforming the beam. When the Light Diode makes two trips through the crystal, the transformative process is reversed, and the resulting transmission can be received by any device clearly. When Verdant Encryption is enabled however, the transceiver's Lux Triode alters its beams' path. The transmission is transformed only once, and then transmitted. The resulting transmission is encrypted using the crystals facet number, facet lengths, and relative distances as the encryption key. In other words, without a second Verdant Mytag Amp Core, there is only one feasible way to decrypt a Verdant Encryption. A droid brain or A.I. would need access to a registry of the facet lengths, facet counts, relative distance, and focal numbers for every unique Verdant Mytag Core ever created. This theoretical list not only doesn't exist, but if it did, would likely contain trillions of unique data sequences.
STRENGTHS
  • A modernized spin on an ancient communication component, this crystal facilitates not only nigh-unbreakable encryption, but Crystal Clear audio and holovid.
WEAKNESSES
  • These crystal components have to be housed in a stabilizing gel due to their brittle and fragile structure, to prevent shattering. A catastrophic impact could potentially compromise the gel, misaligning the crystal or causing it to break.
  • Once this technology inevitably becomes available to the Confederacy of Interplanetary Systems, it will be difficult to ensure no Amplification Drive Cores wind up in the hands of an enemy or competitor; though the technology would be staggeringly difficult to reverse-engineer, the appropriated Cores could still be used to cause mischief.
DESCRIPTION
Developed exclusively at the
House Sonador complex on the planet D'Qar, the Verdant Mytag Crystal is the perfect microcosm of Sable Interplanetary's mission: using the lessons of the past to teach the genius of today and shape the wonders of tomorrow. Beautiful, elegant, and extremely top secret for as long as we can feasibly keep it that way, the Verdant Mytag Crystal is a communication component inspired by the ancient techniques of centuries long gone. The centerpiece of TECER Network technology, data transmission has never been this reliable, fast, or secure. Because at Sable Interplanetary, the impossible is just one step away.
