Velmor's Subjugation

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

"Protection of what?!" came Ozmeri's abrupt interuption, the small pearls over her yards upon yards of fabric of her robe and headress fluttering.

"We are a planet that finds beauty in art not warships!" there came a scoff, "So Velmor is only safe as long as we enter an alliance? By forcing our hand?!" her arm swung wide as she addressed the King.

"They are threatening us father! Can you not see?!"

The King in turn, did not miss the stated words. "Ozmeri! Silence child!" he chided her. Ozmeri did not take well to the remark, pursing her lips.

"Just what does an alliance with your Empire entail Ambasador? Let us be frank..."

"Nonsense. You could be on the Dark Council if you wanted it, Eldoc."

It became apparent that Velok had been drinking. Several shots of Jameson, a bottle of tequila and some Old Janx Spirit. The Dark Lord was in a fine good humor.

"And when we get to hit the ground, I'm thinking about using what little pull I have left to make you lord of Velmor. Yeah, I know Hands can't be Governors, but for you, maybe they'd make an exception."

"As you will, Your Majesty," replied Kirk with a bow.

He then quickly made the orders to launch several squadrons of interceptors. Their job was to engage combat on sight and pursue until all enemy fighters were destroyed.

The challenge was dealt.

The handmaiden merely kept her unblinking stare at her. Who would blink first?

The homicidal little droid realized that the nearest set of humanoid feet was, in some sense familiar. Withdrawing his tools of sabotage from the service port, he bleeped and blatted up at Sasha. General idea: 'Commandeer this vessel and take us to the ground where we can be useful in active ways.'

Entails of you being under our thumb duh~

Spencer thought quietly only to herself, she made sure her mental defenses were up, she didn't know who in this room would try and peep in. She of course, would be peeping in soon if they didn't abide to the proposition.

"Its simple, the Republic seeks to come out this way. They've been known to force hands and push the Senate upon the planets they conquer. The benefits to joining the Empire would be simple. You'd keep your freedom and in turn we provide protection from the Republic as well as any one else who seeks to rob you of this freedom. All we ask is for your help and your loyalty."

The Republic starfighters gunned straight for the interceptor cloud, gathering as much data as possible. Semi-suicidal, in Ashin's estimation, but then Republic forces had always had self-sacrificial messiah complexes drilled into them. They broke away at the last possible moment, clawing for clear skies.

"Wing commanders. Do not let them get to hyperspace."

Sasha understood droid speak. She smiled at the little robot and gave him a nod. "That does sound like a good idea," She replied focusing on the control panel in the cockpit. "I've never done this before... so hold on."

Using her skill in Mechu Deru she saw the controls and hijacked them. The gunship veered to the right and started a descent toward the ground. "We'll be done in a minute."

Challenge accepted.

Sam kept her eyes locked on the guard, she was a strong opponent. Sam would never let down! She was the First Apprentice ( or so she liked to believe) to Sirella Valkner - The greatest plant to ever live!!!!

The gunship's crew flipped out. With great delight, MSE shot two of them in the face, then dug his little service arms into the maintenance port and began repairing his own sabotage. He left the rest of the crew to Sasha's tender mercies. For now, he needed to make sure that his chariot was in tip-top shape for the journey to the ground.

Eldoc sighed, " I am not worth you using your pull Velok, I am content with being a hand of Empress. I shall ensure to continue to do my job, and until I have repaid the empress for her kindness I expect no compensation. " He said, smiling a bit.. the man had been drinking, Eldoc knew that feeling, it was his past time... well when he wasn't fighting or doing whatever the Empress wished of him. " I seek not to rule a world, just serve "

As the Republic starfighters were pursued by Imperial interceptors, Kirk got word of a gunship under his command that deviated from its intended path.

The gunship would have summarily been contacted by the officer directly in charge of it asking for a reason why it now descended for the ground.

" Gold Squadron ensure they don't leave alive" She said as she gave similar instructions to all her interceptors and the corvette. She would not them escape, and soon the dogfight was on as the corvette began to fire.
" Empress, I have engaged the republic, they won't leave alive. "

"And that is why you're the best Forcer in this whole fething outfit," slobbered the Whiphid as he wiped a tear from his face. The tear was about forty proof. He was hammered. Sloshed. Demolishing what remained of his kidneys. "This is why every girl and boy in this whole stinking dropship is looking to you to lead'em. It's why they trust you to lead'em in a planetary occupation that's gotta be nice. And tender. And kind."

He sat down heavily and sipped from a flask.

The gunship lurched as it continued it's course. The crew were dead, no one to respond to the frantic hails of the fleet commander. As the gunship descended it shook violently. Sasha did say she had never done this before. Normally she just manipulated droids but this was something different. The shuttle continued to lurch and vibrate violently. "Hey little guy, can you pull up some coordinates, tell me where to go."

It was awkward flying a ship with your mind, and even more so when you could barely see past two dead men through the cockpit.

"So Velmor still retains it's sovereignty?" asked the King, knowing full well that it was unlikely.

"As my rather passionate daughter stated, we are but a world that appreciates the finer arts, Ambassador..." There came a pause; a pause long enough for Ozmeri to burst out with, "Do not mock us! You say that the Republic would force our hand? Is that not what YOU are doing? Exchanging one set of gilded binder cuffs for another?!"

Ashin watched the interceptors pursue the Republic starfighters, chewing on her lip in trepidation. Not that it mattered. But this was, for all intents and purposes, a perfect campaign, and going so very very well.

"Keep up the pressure. Intercept. They're far out of interdictor range." She grimaced.

"All capital ships, train your ion cannon batteries on technological targets, if you can find any. Do not fire yet."

The fact that the gunship went silent reached Kirk's ears. To protect the Empire's perceived technological superiority, he made it clear that regulations for deserting or unresponsive starcraft was to destroy them and ensure they cannot be examined by other powers. The squadron @[member="Sasha Santhe"] and @[member="MSE-007"] had flown with began to react accordingly.

Ten seconds. Tick tock. Still no blinking.

None the less this unspoken contest did not imply that the Handmaiden was being remise about her duty. She was well aware of the placement of all within the royal chamber.
