DESCRIPTION

Built by the Sith Empire following their invasion and occupation of the Gree Enclave, the Vector Gate Station was designed to serve as the Empire's primary research outpost on the very edge of known space near the anomaly known as Vector Prime.

Named by the Yuuzhan Vong during their invasion of the galaxy centuries prior, Vector Prime was the only known location where their bioships could pierce the hyperspace disturbance beyond the edge of the galaxy.

The Sith Emperor, fixated on extragalactic studies and what lied beyond the galaxy, commanded the station's construction and entrusted a few select visionaries, oracles, and scientific minds to exploring methods by which the Sith could extend their influence beyond the farthest edges of the galaxy.

By utilizing archaic hyperspace locomotion designs, the station was built with two long parallel towers and an octagonal zero space surrounded by an armored ring. The idea was to send unmanned probes out through Vector Prime by sling-shotting them between the towers, through the zero space, and out into the extragalactic void.

In the years since the station's construction, hundreds of probes have been dispatched out beyond the galactic plane. None have ever returned.
