OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Vaydralen Reaper
  • Affiliation: Bryn'adul
  • Classification: Shocktroopers, Jetpack Infantry
  • Description: Vaydralen Reapers are elite infantry formations drawn from the Vaydralen Centurion Corp. They are equipped with jetpack supported armor, and are used as Shocktroopers for the Bryn'adul military. They are trained to deploy from the exterior of descending dropships from orbit, and equipped primarily with melee weapons to engage enemies and clear landing zones for the rest of the invasion force. They wear dark blue variants of the Vaydralen Armament Platform, with helmets designed to handle low oxygen atmosphere situations. The armor is fully enclosed, unlike most Vaydralen units
COMBAT INFORMATION: The combination of Unit Size and Availability below is the indicator of how numerous your unit is. Stormtroopers for instance would be considered Large/Common, while Rogue Squadron would be a Small/Unique unit. Majority Force User Units are prohibited from being Common or Large. The stronger and more specialized your unit is (FU or NFU), the smaller and less common it should be.
  • Unit Size: Small
  • Unit Availability: Rare
  • Unit Experience: Veteran
  • Equipment:
  • Combat Function: The Vaydralen Reapers are an elite division within the greater Centurion Corp of the Bryn'adul military. Entry into this formation is a highly prized honor among the Vaydralen, and only the best warriors from each Clan are considered for training. Once they join the Reaper Division, a Vaydralen serves for life, though this ending usually comes sooner than old age would like. In combat, Vaydralen Reapers are equipped with fully sealed Armament Platform units, capable of sustaining the warrior in most weather conditions, but specifically capable of keeping them alive and conscious in low atmospheric conditions. The Vaydralen Reapers will enter a planets atmosphere inside of dropships, but the moment they make it through the atmosphere, they will exit their transports and climb onto the surface of the craft. Once they reach a low enough altitude, the Reapers will leap off the surface of the vessel, and plummet towards the ground. They will land amongst the ranks of their enemies, and use their primarily melee weapon loadout to cut through their foes, creating a landing zone for their allies.
Strengths:
  • Shocktroopers: Vaydralen Reapers are the most physically gifted warriors among the Vaydralen people, with decades of training for even the youngest of members beneath them. Their iron discipline, tactical training, and natural Vaydralen maneuverability awards them near unparalled close combat abilities, and are capable of going toe to toe with almost any race in the galaxy at a moments notice.
  • Vaydralen Factor: The sheer intimidating size of Vaydralen warriors, supplemented by their armor, creates an imposing presence for most species in the galaxy. When Reapers descend from the skies on plumes of fire, crashing into ranks of enemies within their own defenses, and running through their lines as if they were nothing, many lesser foes could simply break before their wrath.
Weaknesses:
  • Air Time: While their descent is rapid, the Vaydralen Reapers are at great risk in the last few dozens of meters before they touch down on the ground. The nature of their entry into a battlefield means they must use their jetpacks to land safely. Doing so creates a relatively slow moving target for several seconds, exposing the Vaydralen warriors to ground fire. Reapers must make the choice between using their jetpack sparingly to descend much faster, risking a crushing landing, or leave themselves vulnerable in the air.
  • In Depth: While they are equipped with a ranged weapon, Vaydralen Reapers are not equipped with enough ammunition or supplies to engage in a prolonged battle, especially one at range. They rely on speed and surprise, and the natural physical advantages of their species to carry the day. Should they be pinned down and hit from long range, the Vaydralen Reapers have few counter measures other than to rush their foe, and hope they can make it across no mans land before they are cut down.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Vaydralen Reapers trace their origin back to a unit of the same name during the centuries before the Bryn'adul came to Caerdar. The Reapers of old would be warriors chose for their marital ability to stand at the forefront of naval invasions. Reapers would hold on to the bow of the warships they rode on, and as they approached the beaches of their enemies, would leap off and charge ahead. They would face withering enemy fire, difficult terrain and devastating casualties, but would clear a landing site for the rest of their comrades. The life of a Reaper was one of uncontested honor, and the Halls of the Dead in each Clan Keep were lined with the names of their Reaper ancestors.

The Bryn'adul, realizing the value of such warriors, modernized them. Vaydralen Centurions who showed exceptional skill from among the various Clans on Caerdar were chosen to undergo intense training, and those that emerged were some of the finest warriors Caerdar had ever produced. The names of the new Vaydralen Reapers are sung in the Clan Halls and warships of the Vaydralen, and each Reaper looks forward to their next mission to bring honor and glory to their people and the Great Effort.

Great work here!

The only thing I am going to ask... and I know it seems redundant, is that you also include the links for your equipment in the actual equipment section. Might help writers who are looking for that information in PvP situations find it more readily.

Ping me when you're ready!
