  • Origins:
  • Average Lifespan: 20 years
  • Estimated Population: Inter-Planetary
  • Description: Standing tall and regal, the Uzaki is a large bi-pedal feathered bird like creature with short wings not made for flying but taloned feet designed for running. A sharp beak and strong muscled form that allows it to carry weight heavier then itself as mounted riders. The feathers generally come in muted colors, large eyes and plenty of attitude.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type 1
  • Average Height of Adults: 2.33m
  • Average Length of Adults: 2m
  • Skin color: Pink
  • Hair color: White to brown with muted tones to the colors.
  • Distinctions: Males are more aggressive and will attack anything that might be a threat while females will crowd together to appear larger to predators.
  • Races: N/A
  • Force Sensitivity: Rare
Strengths:
  • Saucy: While living they are also raised for food by farmers... the massive bodies produce plenty of meat ideal for being served with bbq, orange and teriyaki style sauces from around the galaxy and their eggs are massive and made to be served with jakobeast bacon.
  • Speeds and Endurance: Their bodies are thickly muscled and able to carry weight generally four times their own perfect for mounted riders and some equipment while maintaining high speeds for a land based animal. Nothing extreme but twenty kilometers at full speeds for two hours under ideal conditions.
Weaknesses:
  • Intelligence: They are able to survive and function on their own but largely are fairly dumb aand can be contained in cages easily enough without much fight.
  • Saucy: Ideal for food which means they are ideal for being hunted and attracting predators.
  • Poor Eyesight: Their eyes while large are very poor not being able to see far and usually looking glazed over as they can peck at each other and harm one another.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Omnivore: They will generally eat anything.. to the point they can be a little dumb as there is a chance if not collected they will eat their own eggs and each other if one is injured. The males enjoy the taste of mushrooms found in the ground and can be used to hunt them.
  • Communication: Shrieks and hums that can mimic other avian sounds and some creatures that they are near. SOmetimes they can repeat words that they have heard enough saying it back.
  • Technology level: Below Galactic Standard
  • Religion/Beliefs: Viewed as sacred by one Atrisian colonel who opened a farm for making fried rice and chicken bowls at festivals and fairs. Largely they are a common species and hold no large religious connotations or have any among themselves. Many regard the Uzeki as flightless Fleft-wauf which are large birds ridden on Taloraan.
  • General behavior: Simple in their behavior as they can group together in farms and used to produce eggs for families or raised to produce meat for farms. THey are not considered a grand beast but they are common enough in areas of Atrisia and Shri-Tal that they were brought by colonies and sold to various farmers around the galaxy. The Jedi having an interest as they were able to be used as a fast moving mount in terrains where a speeder might not be able to be used as easily. Further breeding for them to become larger and more juicy in terms of meat produced or higher quality eggs has led to most farmers raising them in mass factory farms designed to breed, and harvest them as needed.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Raised on Shri-Tal by Atrisian colonists that came to the world. The large birds could be used for food and farming producing eggs and when they were older cuts of meat that could be used for large families. The Atrisian's of the planet then would over time trade and bring them back to the colonies as well as eventually Atrisia itself where the large birds could be used plenty including as scouts in the mountains where a speeder might give soldiers away. Its speed and ability to act like a pack animal served a purpose. The farming techniques for them became more humane over the thousands of years but the birds largely didn't change being sold off to other worlds that might want or need something that serves well on farms.

When the jedi came to Shr-tal and other worlds and learned of the creatures they found plenty of uses for them on farms to aid in food supplies as well as a means of transportation, with the world attacked a re-population effort was done to better improve the creatures and some jedi worlds got handfuls to breed and raise. Ahch-To and Atrisia having more of them as it could serve the caretakers who were more simple by choice in their technologies. The first jedi temple and several of the other temples on the world benefited from them and a few other creatures introduced to aid in farming and a more simple living condition.

Under Review Matsu Ike Matsu Ike

You've written this submission well, but I do have a concern. These are Chocobos from Final Fantasy, pretty much exactly, without any real differences that I can see. Even the name (dymocobos) is very similar. Per the Codex Standardized Rules:
  • No cross overs. All submissions need to conform to the general idea of Star Wars. No Gundams, no Transformers, no Pokemon etc
If you'd like, I can move this back to Pre-Codex to give you some time to work on it and make it less of an open crossover. Otherwise, I will have to deny it on the basis of the crossover rule.
