Gallinore, the glittering blue ocean world and the home of the rainbow gems. It was one of the rare jewels in the Consortium. It was a beautiful oasis in a hostile region of space. The ecosystem of the planet provided abundance of resources. The majority of the planet was warm tropical regions. The wealth of different fruits was a true treasure. The exotic foods were delicacy and ship to the different ends of the Consortium.

Around weather around the Château Loire’an was stunning. Open blue skies the sun was full in affect. It was a bit warm and might be a bit much to someone who was not used to the weather. There was a nice breeze though coming up off the ocean. The air was filled with the scent of the sea. Salt and other ocean smells. It was crisp clean fresh air. It was most assuredly great for the respiratory system.

Within the palace in one of the many parlors servants were placing the last finishing touches.

Darth Tacitus was unavailable to make it to the dance that the Ta’a Chume had. It was understandable as the man did have his duties with the Confederacy. That is why Allana had gone to some extra lengths to set up the room with the different types of foods and drinks that was available at the dance. If he wished to try some of the rare Hapen Pink Champagne he had the option. It was slightly Force imbued made from a fruit that was only found on Hapes prime.

There was a servant waiting at the front door to the palace. Besides careful attention to detail courtesy was a very major deal within the Consortium. The door man was ready to great the Queen Mother guest.

    The Transitory Mists

Trade was the lifeblood of the galaxy. Traveling along the arteries that were the great hyperspace routes, innumerable freighters flitted about like red blood cells, delivering the cargo that was the oxygen of civilization. If nations were the organs of civilization, then corporations were its beating heart, incessantly pumping out merchandise in an endless pursuit for unlimited profit.

Karavin Concern, a military-industrial corporation based on Geonosis, within the heartland of Confederate space, was part of this living, breathing network of commerce. And like a great hive, it stretched itself ever further, pumping out military equipment into the great market of the galaxy, seeking a bigger piece of the galactic pie. Like all corporations, it had a single, simple goal: to make more money. And that goal had led its CEO here, to the Hapes Consortium.

A ship emerged from hyperspace, a five kilometer behemoth flanked by a watchful pair of Star Destroyers. The Invictus was not the largest ship in its master's fleet, who's position as the Confederacy's Lord of Admirals granted him command over one of the superpower's massive Super Star Destroyers, however, in accordance with the protocols which he himself had established, that ship never left Confederate space except on military expeditions and official state business.

This visit was not official state business, but rather a private affair concerning the interests of his corporation. Even so, his private flagship was far larger than the typical luxury yacht so popular amongst the wealthy and far better armed, although not less luxurious.

From its belly exited a silver shuttle, escorted by a squadron of starfighters, making up a formation resembling an arrowhead which descended upon the planet below, coming to a halt on the landing pad assigned to them. An armed procession of ten Wolfguards exited the shuttle, flanking an imposing figure wrapped in a wolfskin cloak which flapped in the wind.

Gallinor was very different from Nelvaan, the icy home of these visitors and the stark cultural differences between the two nations showed clearly. Tacitus and his honor guard had the look of disciplined, veteran soldiers who lacked the natural grace of the Hapan nobility, but made up for it with cold, efficient professionalism. The Empire which Tacitus ruled over was a nation of warriors who's entire lives revolved around conflict.

Moving at a brisk, soldierly pace, the procession made its way to the doors of the throne room, the two columns of Wolfguards coming to a halt at the entrance, allowing their overlord to proceed further by himself. It would not be courteous for Tacitus to march into the throne room of another monarch accompanied by heavily armed soldiers and etiquette was strictly adhered to within the Eternal Empire's militaristic society.

The Eternal Emperor himself was a fierce-looking, bestial man dressed in a crisp military uniform which was accompanied by a longsword which hung from his belt. Sharp claws extended from the tips of his fingers and a mane of unnaturally silver hair flanked features weathered by years of war. His most distinctive feature was, by far, his eyes, which glowed with Sith gold and were in the shape of a cat's, slitted, giving him an alien appearance as the Sith Lord regarded the doorman, patiently awaiting to be ushered inside.
