Changes have been made to the way Major Factions merge and go minor. Thank you to [member="Cira"] for doing the template and rules updates.
The changes are highlighted in green below.
This will be added to the Major Faction Article:
MAJOR FACTION MERGERS
1. A Major Faction may not merge its influence cloud with another Major Faction's influence cloud.
2. A Major Faction may not gift another Major Faction any territory or planets.
3. Technology from the Merging Faction can be Re-Submitted into the new faction with a development thread or modified if the original submitter is involved in the transfer.*
*The new submission must reference the original with a link. As per Standardization of Dev Threads, a Judge reserves the right to ask for additional development.
4. The Major faction must post the Major Faction Removal or Merger notice in the Map Thread Updates Thread.

Faction That Is Merging: (Type the name of the Faction that will merge into another faction, with zero discrepancies.)
Faction That Is Staying: (Type the name of the Faction that will merge into another faction, with zero discrepancies.)

Merging Faction's Owner: (Type the name of the owner of the merging faction)

5. If a Major Faction requests to be removed from the map they are counted as a recalled Major Faction (not a Minor Faction) until the next Map Update.
This will be added to the Rebellions Page.

TL;DR
- Major Factions can be the target of rebellions if they go Minor, until the next map update.
- Merging Major Factions must transfer technology via dev threads or the original submitter.
