I'll take a sappy approach to this:

A lot of people come here to write, roleplay, game, whatever folks want to call it. And that's cool. We all have our expressions and reasons for being here. I think it's more understated, wrongfully so, when people came here to [do such and such activity] with their friends. I've made some great friends here and writing with them brings me great joy. I hope that other people can say the same thing, but I don't hear it mentioned often.
