So, a fight it was.

Problem was, they were thieves, pirates, and slavers, by his guess. Sith would've used subterfuge, or some big, raging, dumbass brute. Not these clowns. Strong crooks, they were, picking on archaeological teams.

And there was one, a big lizard. He could feel the anger from here. But the big man was about to feel something just as bad- a well placed hammer pair, two rapid, accurate shots to the upper torso from the RS16 Tulan usually carried.

Tulan had slipped around the group, and they paid him no mind. Everyone focused on the Jedi. Never the short guy with the quiet little gun. Well, here you go universe, ignore the guy with the gun and focus on the space wizards with the stupid laser swords, and have a bad god damn day.

Ooga-booga, lizard man, Mr. Mayhem's knockin'.

Samara couldn't see where the shot had been aimed, only that she felt the warning through the force a moment before it happened. She reached out, giving the projectile a slight nudge to make sure it hit no one. This whole affair was quickly dissolving. She's left the Jedi for her homeworld because of all the fighting and only returned after much prodding. Her skills were much needed amongest the younger generation. Only a Hapan could navigate the intricacies of the social battlefield. She'd even taken this assignment because she had felt a renewed connection to the place of her own redemption was what she needed to find balance.

Yet she couldn't even defuse the aggression of a few pirates. Perhaps her time was finally over. Still...Samara was no quitter. She would end this without bloodshed. With a deep breath Sam looked to Kyra Perl Kyra Perl to answer her earlier question with a shrug of a shoulder. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." With that she extinguished her lightsaber, returning it to her belt and started towards the two who'd positioned themselves as the leaders in a quick sprint. If she could get to them maybe she could end this as peacefully as was possible in the current climate.

Thank Chaos that she had left her stilettos on the Undoubtedly.

Despite flat soles, Malcoma began to spill over a piece of dock as it scarified underneath her. She managed to catch herself, first freeing her boot stubbed on the ridge, then stumbling another pace. Upright again, she looked down to assess the damage: an unsightly scuff carved into the shiny leather of said boot.

Would it have been better or worse had the trip damaged the pair?

Ahh,” she sighed dramatically, though not loud enough to disrupt the exchange unfolding ahead of her. She was still an apathetic distance behind Roman, Dumbal, and their first real obstacle. Sure, Malcoma had some vain priorities, but she knew to keep them to herself. Any Jedi was serious threat, but especially one who could just about pull the earth out from under their feet. So she could be a big girl about her ruined shoe for now, but she’d be counting the hours until she could make someone smuggle her a replacement.

As she looked back up to listen to the end of the cliche dialogue no robbery was complete without, she folded her arms across her chest and shifted her weight to one hip. Though she did like the sound of her own voice, she pointedly disliked speaking up with nothing to say. Beating a dead tusk-cat was not an endeavor she was willing to break a metaphorical nail over.

Her hand dropped to her holster when the shooting started. Two questions crossed her mind: who to engage, and, what, actually, was the karkin' plan?

"Mistah Smooth? Go wild."
No one had to tell Dumbal twice.

The Swamp Python coiled his muscles, preparing to leap, when their field of battle complicated. It was like trying to keep track of a fish in a school. The number of targets tripled, each one drawing blades and preparing for battle, while the original warrior he'd issued his challenge to sheathed her weapon.

Then she began charging, attempting to go for the huntcallers, and Dumbal knew his battle. He pounced, vibroblade flashing, preparing to intercept. He moved quickly, and erratically, weaving around crates as if he were swimming.

That was the problem with witches. They would focus their energy, their Force, on one enemy, one idea, until they would disregard minor threats. Then, those minor threats could become major...

Bam. Bam.

Dumbal's interception of Samara Galloway Samara Galloway failed as he was blasted to the side, eating two of Tulan Kor Tulan Kor 's slugs to his side, one planting itself into the meat of his shoulder, the other embedding into his lower torso. The force of the bullets pushed him over a crate, and he hit his other side hard on the lid before falling to the ground, and Samara's path was clear, for now.

Perhaps two high-caliber rounds at that close a range would have killed a different Suchur warrior. But this one pushed himself up, favoring his side, and turning his gaze to the one that dared interfere. And he reached out, with one clawed hand, not quite sure what he was doing.

Break his bones, slice his flesh, snap his weapon. Revenge.

Dumbal attempted to use the Force to hurt the soldier. Any purchase he could find, he used, performing an unrefined Force Wound.

Peace was never an option.

Feel. Reach out. Project. It was this cycle of interaction with the Force that made her capable of speech. And it was through this cycle, that Sakadi had gained her incredible control over the sensory and mental techniques taught by the Jedi Order. That was why, once she felt the earth rumble and saw a speeder arrive, her first instinct was to reach out.

What the Jedi Master immediately felt once she and her Padawan ( Cadere Cadere ) closed in, was the overwhelming blood lust of an entity yet unknown to her ( Saul Laverne Saul Laverne ). It paled in comparison to the others, which made it far easier for the experienced mentalist to gauge its intent. Once the reptile-like creature was in sight, the Jedi Master wasted no time. She felt how the Dark side gathered around it; a volatile mass of energy shaped with malicious intent. It was not something she could allow him to release on any of the beings present.

It was more of an instinct, a subtle direction without any words behind it, which she would convey to her Padawan. But nevertheless, it was a message. A message she hoped he would listen to, and aid her in what she was going to attempt.

Sakadi summoned the Living Force to her aid, gathering as much of its energy as she could in a split second, hoping her Padawan would do the same. As she halted, Sakadi made a swift pushing gesture with both her hands. If Cas would follow her telepathic command, their combined Force push would release a devastating wave of telekinetic energy in the direction of the reptile. It packed enough force to throw him a fair couple of meters, should he be caught off guard. But the true intent behind her launched assault, was to disrupt the harmful Force ability he was about to cast.

Finally having arrived at the scene, the Sephi ignited the white blade of her lightsaber. "Sorry. We're a bit late to the party." the voice would echo through the minds of those willing to accept her intrusion.

As he followed his Master ( Sakadi Marathi Sinvala Sakadi Marathi Sinvala ), the Padawan chuckled to himself - who would be so stupid as to attack somewhere under the protection of the Jedi. Regardless, it was their unlucky day as they couldn't have picked a worse time to attack, whoever they or it was.

Growing closer to whatever it was they heard, Cas could sense what his Master probably felt also - it was dark... and strong. He was interested to find out what this creature was, but his mind was quickly returned to the task at hand when, through their bond, he could feel her intentions and what she had planned to do once they arrived. It was a good plan and he was completely on board for it.

In contrast with Sakadi, Cas summoned the Force before redirecting it into a powerful push alongside his Master's own powerful wave against the reptilian creature. Suffice to say, Sakadi was one for making an entrance. With a snap-hiss, Cas ignited his cyan lightsaber and laughed out loud "You guys must be either brave or stupid!" he called out to the attackers while twirling his lightsaber. He was eager to show everyone what he was made of.

Virtue and history. Two things Jedi couldn't let go of. And this attempt to relinquish their grip on some of the more expensive parts of history was turning into a virtuous tug-o-war.

Without impediment from the contention around her, the white current maestro remained invisible to friend and foe. Right past the Halt, you there's! of Caedyn Arenais, Kyra Perl Kyra Perl and Samara Galloway Samara Galloway . The captain, Roman and the giant creature helped make the ratio a little fairer for length contests. Her crew mates could keep them occupied while Magic-Maijan continued to slink around the clusterheck right to the crates that were right in front of them.

She took a pause for a moment while everyone was sizing each other up, tapping on her lower lip to figure out how best to make this happen.

One hand lifted over the topmost cube, as if mirroring what everyone saw while she meanwhile worked to open it. After a few seconds of no success, she elected to just try and lift it instead. Her hands wedged beneath the heavyweight, and she closed her eyes. Two illusions were required now. One, to fold the space around her so she could maintain her invisibility. And two, to continue the projected image as if the crate were still there and not in her grunting arms while trying to lift it.

The big guy would be really useful right about now.

Kyra perked upon seeing Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle and Kiegan Lysle Kiegan Lysle , the two padawans a welcome sight in such a tense moment. Things couldn't be so bad if they were here! She gave them a cheery 'wave, wave', and then everything got crazy. Shoots fired, she screamed-- for a moment she stood like a tense little rabbit, trying to place the most dire threat. Exactly who... was she chucking... her saber at...

The scene exploded. Kyra stepped closer to Caedyn Arenais , the empty space Samara left besides her leaving her feeling exposed and vulnerable. "Ahhh, I don't think they wanna listen to you~" She told her master. She extended her hand, protecting them both with small force-shield projected before him. It only blocked any shots coming head on. Problem was, they were surrounded.

TRACK IV

Jedi always brought a sour taste to his mouth, a luggage full of painful memories and the desire to drown in cheap booze. Once upon a time, during his tenure as a commando for the terrorist organization Nebula Front, Roman had fought side by side Jedi in their common struggle against the First Order. In an ironic turn of events, after the end of the FO-GA war, Roman's own ex-wife had betrayed him in a well-schemed sting operation with Jedi seeking to end the menace of the Nebula Front which turned against them after the war concluded. Miraculously, he had survived and had never been the same ever since.

Throttle back to reality, the appearance of numerous Jedi heralded a dent in their mastermind of a plan (not much of a plan, to be fair). Dumbal was shot and the rage seeping off him alerted Roman he did not want to be on the end of it. Wynter shot at a newcome and Roman quickly assessed the situation. The first Jedi on the scene (Samara) had charged directly at both him and Rackham but his ears and eyes caught another threat that needed to be dealt with.

Roman backpedaled leaving the first Jedi (Samara) to be dealt with by Lliara; for all the enigma surrounding her, he hoped she would be able to deal with the Jedi. He, on the other hand, turned his attention to the newly arrived threat seeking to cease Dumba's fury; the Vornskr revolver was raised up, aimed at the duo of Jedi (Sakadi & Cas) and the trigger was pulled remorselessly a few times. Magnetic coils snapped to life, firing heavy punching slugs at the glowtorch wielding karkers. Verpine technology, an Elias Hobei favorite - kinetic power that may or may not twist a wrist holding saber blocking the slugs. A good tool for a Jedi hunter. Roman reckoned (or hoped) their focus might have been engulfed completely with the idea of dealing with Dumbal that his revolver's slugs might catch them by surprise.

As it turns out pulling someone's attention away from the armed pirates in front of them wasn't the most optimum battle strategy. Kiegan's attempt to dissuade tensions had been stopped by his sister, but he could hardly turn and face her to object before the sound of gunfire rang out behind him. A quick jolt of his neck told him that the shots were at least coming in his vicinity, but there was no time to figure out exactly where they were aimed.

All Kiegan knew was that Jamie was stood right there behind him.

"J!"

It was all the knight could muster out to get a sense of urgency as he pressed his left into Jamie to force her to compact behind him, swinging his pickaxe out in a useless attempt to block the bullets while making sure he covered his sister as best he could.

He felt an odd sense of relief as he matched the burning sensations in his side and shoulder with the amounts of shots fired. At least none had hit Jamie.

His clear vision dulled significantly as he dropped the tool clutched in his right hand, using it instead to press into the wound on his side as a way to check it quickly. It certainly wasn't an insignificant blow but fortunately, not immediately vital. Part of the Elder Lysle hoped that the jackass that shot him was a terrible shot, but the extended arm of Samara Galloway Samara Galloway told Kiegan that he was lucky to not have dropped immediately.

Further probing of his wounds only yielded blood and pain, irritated only further by Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle fretting behind him over his injuries. It was relieving though, his sister's panic over his state confirming that she was fine without making Kiegan turn to face her. Instead he just pushed her back with his left hand again before pulling his lightsaber into his right, mentally weighing out whether it was better to attempt to fight with a crippled arm or an untrained one. For now all he could do was muster up some bravado.

"How about that." The rhetorical question pressed through unintentionally gritted teeth. "I guess we do know."

Uninjured legs pressed forwards as the Hapan kept his left hand pressed against his wound, pushing against the burning sensation to close the gap to Wynter Rackham Wynter Rackham as fast as he could. Kiegan wasn't sure how many shots he could deflect before his arm failed, so he needed to get next to the gunslinger immediately.

"Watch my back Jamie." The younger one was hardly a combatant, but she handled the force far better than Kiegan ever could. If she could limit the pirate's movement even a little, or twist his pistols around, Kiegan could raise his chances, however little.

"Ok." The nerves were plain in Jamie's voice, but Kiegan hadn't managed to ruin her faith in him yet. The elder Lysle gave a reaffirming smile before charging in. The blue saber igniting in front of him, ready to react to the bullets coming for him.

What exactly was Matila still doing with this band of ruffians?
To tell the truth, she barely knew the answer to that question herself. One and done, was how it was supposed to be. One job done for them in exchange for saving her ass back on Cloud City. One job. One favour. She'd done that on Terminus, so why the feth was she with them now on Ruusan?
Well... As much as she enjoyed running around the 'Rim by herself, taking on petty jobs where she could, the pay wasn't anywhere near as good as Wynter and Roman had racked up in their previous runs. Integrity went out the window when desperation reared its ugly head, so when they invited her on another heist she found herself in no position to refuse them. Just one more, right? One more job with the troublesome duo and then she'd be back out there by herself.
What she wouldn't give to be free from the chains of credit chits.
Her gaze fell over their surroundings, landing once upon the graffiti but giving it little more attention than that, focusing instead on the vessel Roman was lining up a shot for. How many men lay in and around it was hard to say, she'd spied a few boarding and exiting the ship as they loaded her up, but there could've been more inside. More in the dig site too. Probably why Wynter had brought so many folks.
When the shot was fired her gaze tracked it as it descended down upon the ship, a static crack before it engulfed the vessel and even from their vantage point she could see the engines power down and the lights inside spluttered out of existence. One... Two... Just a few seconds passed before workers emerged from within, a few from the dig site itself seemed intrigued by the noise too, the rumble that no doubt accompanied it.
And even before their cover was really broken Wynter's rallying cry was made and the men and women alongside her made their move.
Mat wasn't one for being at the front of a fight. Her skills lay with tech and blaster, not knives. Certainly not fists. So while she moved with their wave, she didn't exactly exert herself and instead was happy to remain somewhere among the middle. Not at the back, who knew what might come upon them back there when no one was looking.
She hadn't gotten too far when the earth ahead of them waged war against their merry little band, and for a moment Mat doubted all she'd become involved in. She wasn't craven, but she did have a strong love of life and had no intentions of dying on fething Ruusan of all places. Not at the behest of Wynter and Roman. Feth that.
In the time she spent debating it, halted in place, Roman threw out his two cents and tried to negotiate. It was true, nobody really had to die. Heck, Mat didn't want anyone to die, it certainly wasn't something she basked in. As if Cloud City hadn't proven that when she'd tried to exhaust all her options with the Rangers.
Of course this time it wasn't just the three of them. There were more bodies at work, to command, to wrangle, and the lizard among them seemed poised to pounce rather than prove Roman's statement true. A bloodlust, no doubt. She wondered what it was like to be made of such instincts, to relish in the fight, to long for the scent of blood, to send another into death's embrace.
Mat? She just needed that paycheck.
Before anything more could be said, yet more defenders made themselves known. One of them spoke back, rejecting the offer of a peaceful takeover of the items, and spat out something about Jedi. Mat had lived her life on the opposite side of the Galaxy, never really coming out of her toxic bubble. Jedi? Pah, that was some nonsense made up in the school yard surely. And if not, they couldn't be all that. No way. It just didn't make sense.
Still, it kept her from pressing on. She remained in that stilled position, eyes flickering between Wynter, Roman, and the defenders, hoping that the damn crocodile wasn't about to ruin it for everyone. At the end of the day she took her cues from the Captain and his right hand man, they were the ones who had earned her trust. The reason she was here at all and not stuck in chains on her way to some other fether in the Galaxy who wanted her head.
More talk, this time from Wynter, and she could feel the tension in the air thick enough to cut with any old blade. In fact during that time she had to remind herself to breathe. The blaster had been removed from her hip, lazily held in her hand, all but forgotten about yet a comfort all the same. Tension built... And built...
And then it snapped.
One of the younger men down by the ship had spoken, just a few words, no harm meant she was sure, yet it was all the goading Wynter needed to light this place up. Shots were fired, the crocodile released, and from there chaos ensued.
Mat didn't wait to find out how bad it got. Instead she dove behind the nearest obstacle and steadied her breath. No armour worn by this one, no fake space magic ran through her fingertips, it was just a girl and her blaster and she brought it up and let out a long sigh. Somewhere inside she'd held out hope that they might make it out of this with just a few casualties. Instead it seemed as though they'd been anticipating an attack.
Ah well, her dad always said she'd been too much of a dreamer.
One more breath, one more second, and then she leaned around her hiding spot to send a shot down toward one of their opponents. A guy with a gun, one who hadn't spoken yet but seemed to be creeping up on the rest of the Undoubtedly. Whether the shot reached Tulan Kor Tulan Kor she couldn't say for sure. Say what you would about Mat, but she wasn't no damned fool. She ducked back behind her cover as soon as she might, knowing full well that any man with such a weapon was likely smart enough, or trained enough, to trace a shot back to its source.
(Holy kark, long post was long I'm really sorry! I had a lot to catch up on okay? xD)

"Ahhh, I don't think they wanna listen to you~" Caedyn's astute Padawan Learner informed him from behind the Force Shield that she had projected at their front, subsequently seeing the shots from @Lilara Daeva going amiss, alongside any other loose shots fired at the group of Jedi.

"No one ever does..." Caedyn retorted skeptically, his concentration narrowing upon the hostile presence now seemingly on every side of them. There were numerous combatants on both sides of the fight and even for a Jedi Knight, keeping an eye on everything within their vicinity while also trying to keep his and his Padawan's defense well guarded was quickly becoming a strain on his attention.

Caedyn's left hand reached out and where Kyra's shield had protected their front, the Jedi Knight dove into his energies to cast a full protective aura around them, an nigh invisible orb of which they stood within, only those knowledgeable of the Force would see, least the blaster-fire thrown at them would be halted, impacting and falling short of their targets. "Pace yourself, we're in the thick of it" Caedyn told his Padawan, "Listen to your instincts and let go of your feelings, they will only slow you here" he reminded her with haste, all the while his eyes darted from one opponent to the other.
Liliara Daeva had tried to gun him down, and Caedyn remained fully aware that having chosen her target, she probably intended on pursuing him. The problem was that he also had his Padawan to consider and while she was capable, others might take advantage of this were they to be separated. "We'll do this together, Kyra" he assured her, "They're not going to let us stand here for long, when we drop this shield, move for cover. Don't put your back to them".

This was their first assignment as Master and Padawan, and while Caedyn would usually have leapt into action to counter the opposition, his protective instincts and need to stand vigil over her were far too great to risk.

Well wasn't that the Rancor's smile? The Lizard actually charged for the Jedi Master instead of the White Knight. Perhaps there was hope after all.

Until he got shot, anyway. Solid effort. No fault. Well, a little fault, but Lliara wouldn't hold it against him until they were drunk and she jeered him over being toppled by a little pink flesher. Best news was the giant reptilian creature did not die. Shocking. Intelligent and as strong as he looked. She was often surprised at the number of glass-jawed monstrous beasts that roamed the galaxy.

It wasn't enough to injure such a ferocious man-lizard, however. No, the Jedi surprisingly recognized you need to put such a person down. Temporarily, of course. They were Jedi -- champions of justice. Never kill what you can preach at profusely.

Fortunately, Caedyn had yet to move. No doubt worried about the darling that'd drawn closer for protection. Ah, a Padawan and their Master. Better known as a Astral Anchor. Had them locked in place planning their daring relocation, followed by a valiant charge no doubt. Not Lliara's concern at the moment, sadly. Her blaster kept them occupied and little else, but it was enough.

The most damnable thing of all wasn't the holier-than-thou attitude of the Jedi, or even the veracity of their no-really-we're-the-victim position; it was that if they succeeded in bringing Dumbal down the little band of misfits wouldn't last long. After all, if nothing else he was a massive target filled with everything a Jedi needed -- passion.

Roman might have had the same idea, or just didn't like people messing with his crew, but whatever the driver didn't matter. The Mirialan was already on the move the moment the giant beast of a man had slammed into a crate. Everything else had merely been mental snapshots for her holo-album.

Several rapid blasts of her pistol rained down upon Caedyn Arenais and Kyra Perl Kyra Perl to keep them in place as she bolted to the side. Lliara dropped and slid over the ground as The Fool The Fool 's slugs whizzed through the air overhead. A quick thrust with her right hand and leg shot her back to her feet three feet out and two feet forward of Saul Laverne Saul Laverne as he recovered. A metallic snap rang as a wave through the Force from Sakadi Marathi Sinvala Sakadi Marathi Sinvala and Cadere Cadere swept over the intervening distance.

With the metal rod held out before her, Lliara drew a line in the air between Dumbal, herself, and the Jedi.

A hard grunt accompanied the Mirialan slid backward as the Force slammed into the line. After a second her right foot lifted and stomped upon the ground, physically manifesting taking root in that spot of the broken earth. "Barely felt a tickle."

Two rounds hit, good impact on target. Exploit the objective, advance to the target for follow up shots. Sight picture, sight alignment, trigger squeeze-

Oh.

That hurt.

A lot.

Tulan's chest started to squeeze. Hard. He screamed, his ribcage squeezing on him. Probably cracked a rib, due to how much it hurt to alone breathe, let alone the pain from the attack. Tulan was no fool, after all, he was at one point, one of the Sith's premiere commandos. He switched sides a while ago, but that kind of pain that your so-called Masters could inflict on you was the same. But this felt less like a scalpel being used and more like a hammer, in terms of the force. Not as refined, but all very much still painful.

Tulan's position fell to the ground, and he gasped for air. From what he knew of anything due to the force- it all worked on line of sight, or being able to find and manipulate your target. He was breathing haggardly, trying to find himself. He pressed the suppressor into the dirt, sitting up, ready to somewhat reengage- when a blaster bolt came right at him, hitting him right in the plate carrier.

He regretted not wearing his Katarn class armor, especially right about now. The plate carrier, sure enough, stopped the shot. But it didn't make it any less pleasant to take the hit. Tulan was knocked off his feet by the shot from Lief Lief , rolling onto his back. But he had to keep fighting, had to keep moving. He was a god damn Raider, a damn Ranger. Everyone was scared shitless of the Rangers- he had to make an impression that these assholes would never forget. But his rifle clattered away, thanks to a lack of a sling. But he had one dirty trick for the girl that shot him.

The disruptor pistol came off his leg and took aim, shakily, at her position. On his back, between his legs, he had a fantastic shooting position- but his breathing was ragged and he was fighting an uphill battle in terms of lethality. But all the same-

That disruptor pistol went off, heading right for the girl that shot him.

Dumbal felt a strange sort of pride and shame as his ripping through the Force seemed to take effect on Tulan Kor Tulan Kor . He didn't quite know what he was doing, only that it felt powerful. It felt wrong. It felt right.

Dumbal was entirely focused on his new target, so he didn't sense the dynamic duo of Sakadi Marathi Sinvala Sakadi Marathi Sinvala and Cadere Cadere , and their massive push through the Force. The Suchur turned his head a split second too late, bracing himself for another injury.

An injury that never came.

Lliara Daeva Lliara Daeva protected him, with the same witch power that their enemies used, taking the brunt of it and cutting it aside. Dumbal also felt the afterflow of the Force Push, his claws digging into the ground to keep him upright. He risked a glance at the Mirialan, his coal-burning eyes dulling for a moment.

"Thank you," he growled, a sincere gratitude exuding from his long jaws. Dumbal knew that personal motivations dictated this crew, and that Lliara helping him was likely in service to that. But it was help, nonetheless, something that he would repay, if he could.

These witches want their artifacts so badly? I'll give them their artifacts.

With a primal roar, the Suchuri warrior picked up the substantially heavy crate he'd hit his side against, and hefted it towards Sakadi and Cas, the duo that had tried to hit him while he was down. Dumbal knew that they would likely be able to dodge, or block it with their gris, but perhaps this would give an opening to another in their group, either the warrior that stood beside him, or those that hid in the back with their blasters.

Why was she here? Ruusan? Really? It was home to relics older then she is though maybe that's why she was sent there. Someone smarter then her must have figured that it took a relic to understand a relic, or at the very least hoped she had insight in the relics being uncovered here. Sadly Gida had never actually been to Ruusan before, and managed to land in the wrong place. A quick barter, some subtle charm and she was on her way to the site via speeder. As she got closer she sensed something was off, there was a lot of hostilities ahead for a simple dig. She figured that it might have just been a simple dispute gotten out of hand.

What she saw as she arrived however blew her logic out the water. Blasters, fighting, a huge reptile? Who or what is a perl? Did a tremor happen? Are they even safe here from the site? Questions, always she always had so many questions. Now wasn't the time for that though, she had to focus. A small group had the large reptile contained, well.. contained enough. Her eyes did notice however a pair in a tight spot. Caedyn Arenais and Kyra Perl Kyra Perl seemed to be in a bit of an awkward situation. Pinned down, in the open and trying to move. Gida knew what she had to do at that point.

It was quick, like a blur and she was there infront of them both, before their defenses with both of her lightsabers ignited. She was moving like a dance, each movement feeding into the next as the blaster fire was moved away. There was no waste in her actions, a refinement from her form and a showcase of her experiance. Not all of it was being deflected, she might be pretty used to this but there was only so much she could cover on her own. In particular she was doing her best to stop the shots that Lliara Daeva Lliara Daeva had so thoughtfully provided.

Gida did not look back to the two behind her, her focus in the moment but she did try to communicate to them. She prayed inside that atleast one of them knew Ryl as she exaggerated her Lekku twitches in an effort to signal them. "Hurry, Move" The only things she could say through her Lekku to aid the situation. She hoped the aid would buy them some time to do so, but she still had no grasp of the true situation. How many are in here? And which foe should she actually go for?

Sakadi's eyes narrowed as the second practitioner of the Dark side intervened in their attempt to subdue the lizard. She would be given no time to continue her offensive, however, as their entrance attracted the attention of a third individual.

She caught a glimpse of a pistol being raised in her cone of vision, as the Force cried out to move. She preferred mobility and evasion over a stalwart defense, which proved to be her saving grace in this situation. In a quick, instinctive reaction, Sakadi made a side roll to her left. The energy-coated slugs tore through her cloak, leaving scorched holes in the cheap fabric. The speed at which the slugs traveled was an immediate concern for the Jedi master. Deflecting a barrage of slugs from that pistol had an extremely low chance of success. Low enough to make the shooter a priority target.

The energy of the Light side swirled across her left hand as she ignored the primal roar of Saul Laverne Saul Laverne and focused her attention on The Fool The Fool . She made a short wave-like gesture with her index and middle fingers. It would send ripples through the Force, carrying a mental assault specifically targeted at the man with the slugthrower pistol.

While the mind invasions employed by the Sith were often meant to inflict extreme pain, hers had another purpose. Her attack was swift and decisive, aimed at disrupting the cognitive functions of his mind; perception in particular. Her Jedi Mind Trick would blur his vision, disrupt his hearing and cause mild dizziness. She hoped that it would be enough to prevent him from firing his pistol again, for he might end up shooting one of his allies instead.

While she was a powerful mentalist, performing a successful mind trick against a strong mind was far from easy. She had to keep him in her line of sight, while maintaining her concentration. She held her lightsaber ready in her right hand as she maintained her current position, counting on Cas to protect her from disruptive attacks, like flying crates.

TRACK V

Malcoma was still an isolating distance behind the rest of the despicables, but all the better for observation. From her vantage point, she saw all, came to focus in on one sub-skirmish in particular. Wynter Rackham Wynter Rackham had shot at Kiegan Lysle Kiegan Lysle - she had just missed it happen, but knew it had courtesy steam curling off the blast marks that had carved into him. And the way he protected his sister from the impacts.

Successful too, by the looks of it, when they rose to the offensive. The brother trailblazed for the padawan towards Wynter. Lysle One was poised for retaliation, blue blade humming even from here, while Two - well, she, in all ways but physical, registered as a baby deer to Malcoma. Select occupations sharpened one to realizations such as that, and one was a madam. She'd give you three guesses why.

For that one reason, the weak link vibe Jamie exuded, Kiegan was smart to not leave her behind in a gun and saber fight. Almost too smart, but Malcoma would still damn well try to capitalize. Thin the herd from the outside in, and don't start with the strongest guy. Now, if she could get the first Jedi to turn around, tend to the other, then they'd be well on their way. Wynter would have an in.

These two would be a piece of cake.

Maybe. Wouldn't they?

Sidestepping, Malcoma slowly drew. Maybe a vain attempt to stay quiet on a landing full of Jedi, but the longer she could stay unnoticed was longer she had to wait for the perfect shot. She leveled her holdout blaster at nothing in particular, not quite yet. Instead, she'd let her prey walk in front of her barrel. Just a few seconds longer...

...but she waited three, and Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle slipped out of her sights.

Malcoma blinked. Stared for a beat. Shook her head. Chasséd sideways. Almost too far. Again, lined up her shot. And, this time, fired.

The Padawan was surprised to see that their coordinated and devastating attack had... actually failed? Cas muttered "Great." sarcastically under his breath, some lady, who could also apparently use the Force, had intercepted it somehow. Slouching his shoulders in disappointment, his attention was quickly switched to a third figure - a guy with a pistol aimed at the both of them, without hesitation he rolled in the other direction of his Master with his lightsaber at the defence.

Lucky. Those slugs that were fired looked like they packed enough punch to take someone out of the game entirely. Cas watched for a brief moment as Sakadi was doing her own thing, he would watch her back as she did so. The roar of Saul Laverne Saul Laverne caused Cas' ears to perk up, he turned to see what was happening and witnessed the creature lift a heavy crate and launch it at them as if it were nothing. Thinking fast, he had to do something to keep him and Sakadi safe.

Extending both arms in the air, he summoned the energy of the Living Force before focusing all of it on the incoming crate - he would use the crate's trajectory and use the Force to redirect it at The Fool The Fool - at the moment, he was much more of a threat than scary giant reptile man over there. What were the odds of that? Regardless, as he redirected the crate, Cas would stay alert and keep his lightsaber ignited and at bay ready for any incoming attacks.

TRACK VI

It wasn't the first shot burning out of his revolver that caused everything to erupt.

No, it was the crocodile marauder's mighty roar and leap that set off a chain reaction. Battlelines being drawn, fights escalating, shields being erected in staggered groups. In the middle of it all was a grinning man, revolver still up, immensely pleased with the chaos that permeated all around them. He was about to curse out Maijan for not getting her chit together, until he noticed something awkward.

One of the crates being shifted back and forth.

Like.

...

Someone was trying to lift it, but they weren't strong enough by themselves. "Oh, for feth's sake." That's all the bemusement coming out of Wyn, because a moment later the croc started roaring in pain. Wyn got distracted. Watching as the biggest of their crew was being harrayed from all sides. It was like nobody else was there, which kinda hurt his ego, but you couldn't have them all.

Just as Sakadi started focusing on Roman- Wyn send off a flurry of shots, energy charged slugs that discharged blasts at impact, towards the Force Master trying to kark with his partner.

It was that lack of focus that meant he didn't see Kiegen coming at all.

The heavy tool slammed into his arm, causing his revolver to smash out of his hand, the last shot going wide. Maybe hitting someone near Sakadi or maybe not. He refocused towards the young lad and the girl behind him. The tool came swinging again, this time hitting him in the side, where Wynter howled in pain.

"Should'a stayed dead, boy," From his sleeve sprung a wicked looking vibro-knife. See. To get this close and hit him, meant that Wynter was just as close in response. The knife whirred up.

Next to him Malcoma's blaster went roar itself, targeting Jamie, Kiegen's sister.

Hoping to gut the young lad, while he was distracted, playing hero hopefully.

Wynter jabbed viciously.
