Skirmish Undoubtedly Despicable [ATTN: SJO]

LANDING PLATFORM, JEDI ARCHAEOLOGICAL DIG SITE
RUUSAN

When Valerya Tion Valerya Tion was handing out a contract - you know the money was bound to be good. You take that contract without even reading it and that’s how you end up running a smash ‘n’ grab run on a Jedi dig site for some heirlooms and artifacts that Sith Lady had an addiction for.

Standing behind some nondescript crates and other kipple on the landing platform of the dig site, the crew of the Undoubtedly - a rag tag band of despicable outlaws - awaited for the workers to get all their artefact filled crates on the platform before loading them up the small cargo hauler docked. Kyra best Perl can be seen graffitied across the far dig sight walls.

A few old contacts of Wynter on Fort Nowhere had procured the band access to the dig site, guns and a very, very important ion launcher.

“Hit ‘em, Ro.” Wynter ordered peeking from his cover. Roman nodded, stood up, aimed and pulled the trigger of the ion launcher. A large ball of pure plasma burst out at the speed of a bullet and struck the cargo hauler. The explosion of ion energy harmed no sentient but shut off that ship for a good long time. Hopefully just long enough for the crew of the Undoubtedly to disable the workers and steal the cargo with the ship.

It’s free real estate.

Kyra best Perl can be seen graffitied across the far dig sight walls.

While Roman was busy with the mission Wynter was elsewhere as always.

Peering at that graffity.

"Kyra best Perl?" He muttered while waiting for Ro to hit the trigger. 'Wasn't Perl that pros queen over at Zeltros? Owns like half the clubs across the Galaxy these days?" It probably didn't help The Fool The Fool 's attention, but that was how it went with Wynter. A snort there. "Odd flex." Joza could never be beaten.

That was just a law like thermodynamics.

Somehow Roman managed to focus even with Wynter's goofing about. Sometimes it was a wonder that the latter was the Captain. Maybe Roman should coup him and take control. They could probably get more work done that way.

He pushed his spectacles up his nose. Then whistled as he saw the trajectory of the ion burst. "Nice one, Ro." It hit the target easy. The cackling of the ionic discharges immediately having an effect. The engines that had been winding up started to whine down instead. Of course, this also meant that everyone around the hauler were immediately alarmed.

Not everything could be as easy.

Revolver in hand Wynter rose up. "Show time, people, let's get paid." Already lining up a shot.

No time like the presence.

Dig Site, Ruusan - Back of the Cargo Hauler

This had been the most boring assignment Samara had received in recent months. Help with the archeological work they said. It will do you good they said. Instead Sam had only watched on others did all the work. She was nothing but a glorified inventory clerk.

The lead researcher stepped up the loading ramp, a small case in his hands. Samara tried to force a smile as she checked off one more stone tablet off her list. "If you came here for stimulating conversation you are out of luck. I've been trying to smile all morning.

"Then perhaps I can give you a reason Master Jedi." The researcher said in his thick accent, handing the case over to her. "The biologists recovered these samples. They thought perhaps someone more specialized should take these."

Samara opened the case to find it full of glass vials. They were filled with preserving agent, holding biological matter. He'd been right. She was now beaming as the possibility of what she held in her hand dawned. "Are these....?" The question ended as the hauler rocked from an impact. Machinery sparked wildly around them as power flickered out. The impact had knocked the case from the Jedi's hand, the glass shattering on the metal deck.

"What in the nine hills was that." The researcher shouted as Samara ran down the ramp. Her dark mood back at seeing the sample crushed on the floor. Someone was going to answer for that.

RUUSAN
JEDI ARCHAEOLOGICAL DIG SITE

LANDING PLATFORM
Kyra best Perl.

Dumbal had no idea what that meant.

He stared at the graffiti for a second, his dandelion-yellow eyes adjusting as he mulled the phrase over in his head. What was a Kyra? Is it a gem? What distinguished it above other pearls?

Dumbal's limited exposure to the galaxy beyond his homeland was full of such questions. What is a Jedi? Why are ancient, outdated Jedi heirlooms so expensive? Who would hire a group of morally-deficient raiders to acquire them?

Now, that was one thing he did understand. Raiders. Warriors, who deserved what they could take. It was the only constant that had transitioned from his tribal lifestyle on Nalrobi. It was a comforting comparison, as it brought to mind many successful raids he had conducted in the past.

This would be no different. He hoped.

Roman raised his ion launcher, and Dumbal felt his scales spark across his hide. His eyes dilated, and the hunter could feel his breath quicken in his chest. This was the moment he lived for. The seconds, moments, before a battle. They dragged on for too long, a second of agonizing expectation. Finally, the ion launcher struck the ship, Wynter lined up his shot, and Dumbal leapt into action.

The Suchur sprung from his hiding place among the crates, wrenching his vibroblade from his back, and slicing down on a defenseless dockworker. It went right through, shoulder to hip. The witchhunter hissed, feeling his anger boil up within him, and crouching low, looking for his next opponent.

No words spoken, no words needed.

Lliara Daeva

Pharmaceuticals (Save|Kill)
Location: Ruusan
Job: Acquire Jedi Artifacts
Crew: Undoubtedly

The Mirialan among the Undoubtedly's enterprising crew took position behind some crates with her pistol drawn. She was new to their band of misfits. Yes, she'd heard of their daring exploits eager to make coin and perhaps even get themselves killed. Not a woman's best chance for living long enough to enjoy the spoils. However, the job was right. Perfect, actually. Artifacts? Intended for the Jedi? This benefactor of theirs wouldn't miss one of them -- if it turned out to be the right one. If she did, Lliara would kick that Rancor when she came to it.

Probably some looks over her outfit, of course. There was always that sense of apprehension when she first met a new crew. Kind of the point, really. Make a lasting impression, and then deliberately side step any questions about it. What was really the problem with wearing a pristine uniform seemingly modeled after an ancient Inquisitor's uniform? Not to mention her helmet; how it enclosed her head from all angles. No one knew who or what Lliara was until she felt like it. That was always fun. Always indispensable when you stole someone else's possessions.

The lizard was the first to surge forward following Roman's ion blast and Wynter's call to arms. "I'll sing a ballad when this is over about how the Lizard heroically struck down a defenseless dockworker." Lliara wasn't shedding tears, but killing someone in the middle of having a heart attack from abject terror alone was a waste. Long as it drew the attention of anyone that posed an actual threat.

Lliara stood to her feet with her mask concealing her appearance. Slowly she began to stride toward the landing platform, blaster ready. One bolt at a time shot through the open air. Unlike Dumbal, Lliara was in no particular hurry. In fact, she was hopeful the defenders of this operation would show themselves sooner rather than later so they knew what they were up against. Of course, the place could be defenseless; that would make their job a lot easier.

She had come to expect just about every Confederate from to civilian to Sith Lord to have at the very least one moral high ground. But what she hadn’t was finding a scoundrel standing up there with them, looking down at her from Anti-Slavery Summit.

Maybe there was some law between the lawless yet.

Wynter Rackham Wynter Rackham was really lucky the two of them had this thing going. She could take judgment from anyone, but she thoroughly enjoyed receiving his. Having him think she was a stereotype holding some poor girl’s chain link lead was worlds better than the alternative. Regardless, she had made it clear to him that she was not interested in enslaving any of the cargo’s personnel. Right now, pure and simple, she needed funds. Relocating a business legally was hard enough, but illegally? What was more, across closed borders? It left her really rethinking her decision, namely, if it would have been at all easier to cut ties and restart. Probably, but she was too committed now, both with money and pride.

Plus, she already had girls. And boys. They just weren’t here yet. Reason - see above.

Plus, plus, she was in a slightly different business than that which she sold it as.

Unlike her fellow crew members, Malcoma had leaned up behind a person-tall stack of crates, waiting with face tuned up to the dusty sky. By her assessment, a heist wasn’t the occasion to kneel. When she heard The Fool The Fool fire the incapacitating bolt, she straightened, flung her cigarra down onto the dull deck, and snuffed out the smoking tip with the toe of her boot, though she didn’t move further. Not even when Wyn rallied the crew.

He had her, on her terms.

That was, when the first few bodies had dropped.

Detail.

Master Sergeant Tulan Kor, current senior enlisted member of the Antarian Rangers, and a high-ranking member of Task Force Raider- was currently taking an easy gig to run security. He'd been a bad boy, and they gave him the crappy details. It was the natural order of things. The Dig Site, was easy work- patrolling, running security patterns and protocols. He'd gave the security team here a headache with the amount of training he was making them do, and the level of threat he was taking.

It was too bad, however, that they were low-level goons more or less, and could give a crap what an Antarian Ranger had to say.

The hair on his neck stood up, and he checked the chamber of his RS16, glancing to and fro before walking slowly forward, checking to make sure his dirty trick was still on his hip. The disruptor pistol was illegal, in some places, but more or less generally frowned upon. He gave himself a once over once he heard the ion shot. Someone was here, someone not in his team. He was rocking a rifle and a blaster, and a vibrobladed-trench knife. You know, the type of knife with the brass knuckles on the end. The dirty fighting kind.

He grit his teeth, scanning the area. He didn't see anyone, but he started to make his way towards the sound of the shot, his suppressed rifle leading the way. He moved quietly, nearly silently- his weapon up and at the ready, ready to engage a variety of ne'er-do-well targets in an instance if they came across his view.

Everyone had something they were starting at. For Maijan, it was Saul Laverne Saul Laverne . The way his scales moved, the little minutae movements...she wondered if this creature was akin to something they'd uncover on this adventure. Hitting the Jedi for the Sith didn't sit easy with her, but so long as none of the proverbial good guys were dying, she'd feel just fine with her wallet a little heavier.

People lurched out of their positions like they'd been barfed into action. Maijan's movements were more listless, simply walking unencumbered by the necessity to move quickly. There was no purpose in breaking a sweat when nobody could see her. The current's knots and knolls served their purpose as a cloaking device that concealed her sounds, signature, and anything traceable to anyone less than a master. Stealth was the name of the game in this little skirmisharoo. Besides, the poor Jedi people had enough on their hands with the band of up-to-no-gooders unleashed on them. She'd spare them her golden fist.

Just short of whistling a carefree tune, she side-stepped some of the fallen bodies and set a dutiful course for where X-marked the spot.

RUUSAN
A COUPLE DIG SITES AWAY FROM THE DIRTY PIRATES

Jamie had hopped at the first opportunity to retrieve Jedi artifacts, dragging her poor brother Kiegan Lysle Kiegan Lysle along with her to Ruusan. The padawan was still new to the whole Jedi business and hoped that some of the artifacts that they could dig up would help her sort of what it means to be one, but it hadn't seemed to work.

That could possibly be because she was missing the point of putting in the effort to help find these artifacts, sitting back and examining them as her brother toiled in the fields doing all the physical work for the pair.

"Keegs, we're looking for anything shiny and Jedi-looking!" Not exactly the most insightful words, but at least she was helping.

The young Hapan was brushing her fingers along the pages of the catalog of known Jedi artifacts, hoping that she could find more specific information to give to her dirt-covered brother, when she heard what sounded like something malfunctioning in the distance. Kiegan, however, was more accustomed to the noises of battle than his sister and knew the sound of an ion blast well. The elder Lysle didn't hop into a battle state immediately, but there was some mild concern plain on his face.

"What was that?" She knew more about her brother than whatever made the noise, caring more for his concern than hypothesizing for herself.

"Probably nothing to concern ourselves over..." His voice trailed off unconvincingly before continuing in a few seconds. "Might as well check it out though."

He gave a quick smile to his sister to try to calm the situation down before the pair made their way to the sound a few dig sites over. Jamie followed her brother quickly, but as they wandered towards the disturbance Jamie couldn't help but see a piece of graffiti out in the distance.

KYRA BEST PERL

Even as a Jedi, Jamie couldn't help but giggle about the fact that the girl she met at the potluck awhile back probably had a secret admirer spray painting a Jedi site for her. It was grossly improper, but the childish antic was amusing at least. Though she did feel bad for her other friend Nida Perl Nida Perl . Jamie didn't want to get in trouble but perhaps she could take Kiegan into adding "AND NIDA" to the end of it after they finished checking out the other dig site.

Sakadi released an exasperated sigh as she glanced at the pile of ancient clay tablets beside her. She had lost count of how many she had tried to decipher. Boring wasn't quite the right word for this mission; the dig site gave them some valuable insights after all. But translating all those texts carved in clay? That was nothing short of mind-numbing work.

Grabbing her checklist, Sakadi turned to the other individual who had joined her in the small research station; her Padawan ( Cadere Cadere ). So far, she had completely translated seven of the tablets, but how was he doing? He had at least one... right?

Reaching out with the Force, Sakadi touched upon his mind. "Can you show me the tablets you've translated for a moment? I'll finish the bookwork and we'll call it a day." her voice echoed, half expecting some comment on her calling quits this early. If he would turn to face her, however, the young Kiffar would end up accidentally knocking over Sakadi's pile of tablets. An action that would make the Jedi Master release a deep sigh again, as she'd be forced to remove those tablets from her check list. Either way, the Sephi was going to take a breather after her 'long' workday.

Just as the Sephi rose from her chair and stepped outside of the small research station, one of the archaeologists approached her. "Master Sinvala?" He asked, waiting for confirmation that she was indeed 'Master Sinvala'. "We've come across a well-preserved mural. We were hoping that you could help us interpret its meaning." Her bleary eyes were staring at the young archaeologist for a moment, wondering if she should try to talk her way out of it.

As fate would have it, an excuse wouldn't be necessary. The sound of an ion blast followed by blaster fire put a rapid end to their conversation. Sakadi jerked her head in the direction of the blasterfire. She swiftly concluded that it hailed from the nearby landing platform and through the Force she could tell that people were in shock and disarray. Whatever was going on, it needed their attention. Fast. The Sephi reached for one of the two lightsabers clipped to her belt, although she didn't ignite it yet. "Cas, with me." she conveyed, breaking into a sprint with her lightsaber in hand. She was ready to ignite the blade, should she need to protect herself.

Something had pinged on long-range detection scanners of a patrolling fleet, word of suspicious activity had been sent back to Kashyyyk in the nearby sector of Ruusan. While it wasn't the sign of a full-scale invasion or hostile fleet from the Sith or the Bryn'adul, the Assembly decided to send an Jedi envoy to investigate as a precaution. They chose to send Caedyn Arenais and his Padawan, Kyra Perl Kyra Perl .

By the time they reached Fort Nowhere and the Repertoire descended down upon the landing platform, Caedyn had briefed his Padawan on the situation (of which was at that time, still low-risk), and contacted the authorities at the Military Station to prepare for their landfall. With Ruusan within Silver Space, they'd be greeted on the deck and informed of suspicious activity at one of the dig sites, then given a means of travel across the surface via an Arrow-23 landspeeder.

As an Officer sped them on their way and the pair were left to spend the time aboard their transport having to wait, Caedyn looked to his Padawan. Kyra and he, had gotten off to a rocky beginning, yet now they were out in a real life scenario, no longer with those four temple walls to keep her safe. Out here the wrong move could mean life or death, where as back home she was lucky if Caedyn were to let her off lightly. Hopefully today, she wouldn't have to realize why he was the way he was with her training.

"How're you feeling, Padawan?" he asked, the terrain of Ruusan racing by the viewports at either side of them. While they were temporary passengers, the Jedi Knight looked to gauge his Padawan's readiness, expecting her to be somewhat apprehensive and yet knowing her, too proud to show it.

The Kiffar enjoyed going on assignments with his Master ( Sakadi Marathi Sinvala Sakadi Marathi Sinvala ) but this... what the hell was this? Cas sat on the floor, cross-legged, beside Sakadi and the pile of tablets she had already translated, Cas himself was a bit far behind with his own single tablet he was struggling to translate it - which likely had something to do with his boredom effecting his ability to properly carry out the translation.

His ears and shoulders would perk upon the voice of Sakadi in his mind, a sly grin formed on his face but then it quickly faded. He was half tempted to make a witty remark but was too drained to at the moment. In an attempt to turn his attention to his Master, he had accidentally knocked over her pile, Cas simply glanced at them before turning his gaze to Sakadi "We, uh, we probably didn't need those as badly as we needed this one." he awkwardly joked while pointing at the tablet he attempted to translate.

Feeling guilty, Cas remained inside while his Master left. He didn't do much while she was gone except adjust seating positions, remaining on the floor, he placed his palms behind him and stretched out his legs, he needed a break too. Wouldn't last for long though, An ion blast caught his attention "What the--?" he immediately shifted to his feet and made his way outside to meet Sakadi but before he could ask what was happening he was ordered to follow her. Simply nodding, he followed her lead and pulled out his lightsaber, sprinting close behind her. Finally, some action.

RUUSAN - MAIN DIG SITE DOCKS

Samara moved around the hauler, hearing the sounds of an attack. Her first thought when the ship had shook from an impact was that one of the incompetent loader drivers had crashed their loader into the ship. As such as her anger had flared at an accident that cost her rare biological samples, she had known she couldn't deal with the situation in her agitated state. But these sounds, definitely were not of a work place accident. As she came into view Sam watched helpless as Dumbal cut down one of the dock workers. The world slowed down s her sense took in the others in their assault. This was no accident, it was an attack

The master dropped to a knee, instinct kicking in and old training going into auto pilot. She could feel the force flowing through the very ground. Feeling the lines of the living force flow through it just as the Masters on Kro Var had taught her. Her left palm falling flat on ground, already feeling the seismic energy react to her calling. Just as quickly the world returned to normal around her and the ground was buckling. A wave rippled through the stone and dirt, causing the ground to fracture and large chucks of earth to rise up. Crates were sent flying as the ground leading up to the group became a torn, jagged landscape.

The Jedi returned to her feet, feeling dizzy from the exertion of power. It had been to long since she'd called on those teachings. I am not going to do that again. But perhaps the show of power was enough for the raiders to rethink their choices. No reason not to let them think she could do that again or more. With her right hand she pulled the lightsaber from her belt, the pale blue blade bathing her face in an icy hue.

"This is your only warning. Leave now. No more death has to come of this."

TRACK II

"Damn it, Dumbal." Roman sighed, a grimace of desperation and disappointment on his face. Where the hell did Wynter recruit this space crocodile lunatic? No questions asked, he recalled Wynter's rules on the background of the nefarious character that had joined their merry band of villains. Roman had his fair share of combat experience against all odds but the scaled behemoth beast was not a bite he wished to try and swallow. Let Rackham deal with it, he loves flaunting that Captain rank. Carry the burden of it, then, chump.

Lilara Daeva, an enigma, was far more gracious in her entry. Shots fired in the air and the workers were fleeing for their dear lives. What she fired next was a ballista of sarcasm straight at Dumbal. She was a mystery on her own, no face to put on that name and Wynter's stupid puns and bad attempts at humor couldn't really bring out much more out of her than turning her back on him. Roman couldn't remember where they picked her up from but she was a helluva shot and equally degenerate as the rest of the crew. Sometimes, when he hit the drink a bit too much, Roman wondered whether there was some top of the line hot doll underneath the murderous and dark attire. The spiral of imagination often simply led him to recall his traitor of an ex-wife and he just downed the drinks so fast it all blurred until he fell asleep. Problem-solver, is what he called himself.

Where the hell was Malcoma Hesse, you might ask? Of course, at the back of the band, doing nothing but observing. Her commanding presence alone could probably cover in shadow the Emperor of the Sith, the Vicelord of the Confederates and the Grandmaster of the Silver Jedi combined. When Roman had learned she had been something akin to a madam, he had grumbled why she had not brought at the crew some of her...employees. Would be a much better alternative than Roman, on one night of drinking, approaching Magic Lady Maijan only for her to leave him on seen 8:36PM by vanishing. What a humiliating event that was and Wynter never really gave up on bringing it up at every chance he could. He really had to stop exploring drinking so much.

And Magic Lady Maijan? She was gone. Probably stalking somewhere around, unseen thanks to her whack Force abilities. She was as dangerous as innocent as she looked.

So who's left? A single Jedi in the midst of the dry docking area. A nasty smirk painted his face, this was game over.

Or was it?

The earth shook, trembled and moaned. It cracked into crevices, not wide enough to fall and die into but enough to serve as a warning. Under the mentorship of Elias Hobei, a Jedi Hunter, Roman had learned a lot about Force users and their capabilities; this power was one of those vaguer lessons where even Hobei had little details. A lost or forgotten art in the world of space magic. His nasty smirk disappeared, shifted into a scowl as he caught his bearings. Almost fell on his backside like an idiot.

Roman didn't raise his pistol at the lone valiant servant of the Light. He didn't need to prove his point any further than the situation looked grim for the Jedi. With his usual deep and cutting voice, Hayato called out at the Jedi:

"You don't seem in the position to negotiate, Jedi." he said. "No more death has to come over some cheap collectibles, you're right. So - leave or turn into breakfast for Dumbal over here." Roman jerked his head at the ferocious behemoth.

All eyes were on him now. The others valued stealth, subterfuge, subtlety. Leave that to them. There was a time, and a place, for all of that, but Dumbal did not care for it now. He was too angry to care.

His frustration wasn't helped by Lliara Daeva Lliara Daeva , quipping at him after doing his dark work. Dumbal looked back to her, narrowing his eyes. His hiss was not the sharp piercing rush from a snake, or the quick chirp of a lizard, but the slow, droning reverberation of an alligator. He funneled the insult towards his work. looking for the next target.

Unsurprisingly, everyone around had fled with the attack. They were simple workers, after all, unfit for Dumbal's brand of war. The show of force was a necessary reminder to them. They were not warriors, and shouldn't pretend to be so.

The true warriors were coming. Dumbal could feel them. In his scales. In his mind. In his very being and purpose.

Samara Galloway Samara Galloway walked down the ramp, and Dumbal felt his blood begin to boil. He recognized this feeling. It was the excitement before the hunt. The kill. The show of Force only cemented his resolve. This was what he was promised. He didn't care for artifacts of little import. This was the only thing he was good at. The only thing he had ever learned how to do.

Dumbal waited for The Fool The Fool to finish his piece, barely hearing it. His scales flashed a moment, before he got down into a crouch. Preparing to pounce, but waiting to see if the Jedi would accept his challenge. He spoke for the first time, in a deep, sybilline voice.

"Witch."

At Samara Galloway Samara Galloway 's side! Pew pew!

Kyra squirmed as they descended upon Ruusan, dropping down at a popular dig site the padawans of Silver Rest had visited just a week before. It had been an educational experience, and a fun one at that. Something told her her second visit was gonna be a little different.

"How're you feeling, Padawan?"

Kyra glance up Caedyn Arenais , a reproachful edge to her otherwise unreadable expression. "...Fine," she lied. It was no secret that her last mission had done a doozy on her confidence. Getting captured and messed with by sith tended to do that to a youngling. A series of harsh events and hard realities had left the girl with questions, none the least being...

Was this really a good idea?

She didn't think so, but she had butted heads enough times with Caedyn to know that digging in her heels in and staying back would get her no where she liked going. He thought she was ready. She thought he was stupid. They descended upon the site all the same, the girl forced to accept that worse case scenario-- he'd probably be able to cover her. Probably.

A sudden rumble in the ground was proceeded by a sight she didn't expect. A single jedi stood surrounded by the offenders. She stood alone and outnumbered, her saber raised in defense against them all. It was a concept that bothered Kyra.

Greatly.

The trepidation of before melted away, a wash determination leaving her griping the speeder railing that much tighter. Plans were yelled out. The escorting Ranger reveed up the speed, hitting the platform and cutting his way past the smugglers to place them between the stare off of Samara Galloway Samara Galloway and The Fool The Fool . Couldn't shoot her through the speeder in the way!

Kyra's lith form went flying out of the speeder, twisting through the air to land lightly at Samara Galloway Samara Galloway side. She cracked a flustered grin at the successful maneuver, swiping her red locks out of her face.

"I really need a catch phrase," she announced to the woman, breathless as she ignited her saber. "Do you have one?" Her blue eyes flickered up at Samara, excitement alight in the gaze that seemed to be probing for something deeper. Was she okayyyyyyy?

A nosy, mental nudge from the empathic padawan besides her tried to find out.

His Padawan was a poorly liar, yet this was one of those fortunate times where Caedyn had too little of which to repeat his explanation as to why he had deemed it best that she come along on the assignment. The Galaxy stopped for no one, and there were far less capable people out there being victimized by crime and oppression.

As if to justify his decision, Kyra Perl Kyra Perl caught sight of the lone Jedi Master before the others did. Caedyn along with the pair operating the land-speeder quickly exchanging words and cutting their ride short, rerouting to position the vehicle between some of Samara Galloway Samara Galloway 's aggressors before the Jedi pair were on the move, Caedyn stepping out and giving two hard knocks upon the vehicles side with a closed fist to signal their leave.

As the vehicle operators moved to get clear, the Jedi Knight's lightsaber would erupt with a snap-hiss as Caedyn triggered it's activation, his presence being exposed to that of The Fool The Fool , Lliara Daeva Lliara Daeva and Saul Laverne Saul Laverne seeking to purge the dry-dock of any valuables.

"This isn't a negotiation..." Caedyn spoke up, answering Roman's goading his fellow Jedi Master now with Kyra by her side, Caedyn himself between them and the trio of apparent criminals; "Lay your weapons down" he commanded firmly, "This is an arrest for armed theft. Any action taken against a Jedi will not go in your favor" Caedyn gave them an added warning not to pursue their hostilities.

"All Operations of Ruusan are under the protection of the Order of the Silver Jedi".

Already being covered almost entirely in dirt, it was relatively easy for Kiegan to get through the other dig sites as he ran towards the noise. Jamie dragged behind her brother as she took a more cautious path than her brother, but he couldn't afford to wait for her to catchup. Whatever noise the pair heard earlier hopefully was just some accident caused by negligent workers, but the Hapan had a feeling in his gut that told him to get over to the dig site fast.

His grasp tightened heavily on the pickaxe in his right hand as he used the force to propel him up the scaffolding of the dig site, something that Jamie Lysle Jamie Lysle couldn't replicate yet. She would make her way up eventually, but Kiegan needed to get over this hurdle now. The excavated walls of the dig site began to even out as he made his way upwards, eventually leveling out to a flattened top that he could see into the distance. The concerned expression coming back as he saw the crashed freighter and Samara Galloway Samara Galloway defending it.

Hopefully it was a worker's dispute about a malfunction that could be easily sorted, but with how the people surrounding his fellow Jedi looked that seemed extremely unlikely.

Especially the fething giant reptile that looked a smidge bloodthirsty.

"Kiegan, wait up!"

As much as he would like to wait for his sister to catch up before he started butting into this presumably delightful conversation, it would probably reflect on him poorly if he watched another Jedi get murdered. So instead he slid down the hill towards the gaggle of assorted individuals in front of him and propped the pickaxe over his shoulder, maybe to intimidate or maybe just out of habit. His mind didn't tend to be strategic.

"Hey guys..." He said without the exact gravitas that a Jedi was supposed to have. "I know us Jedi can be a bit of a handful, but worker disputes are better handled through paperwork I reckon." He said in a way that could be construed as mocking, but was more the Hapan just pushing away his more serious thoughts about the scene in hopes that they were workers.

A noise behind Kiegan let him know that Jamie had managed to catch up, though he kept his eyes on the scene in front of him. If the knight had turned to her he might be able to see his much more savvy sister understanding the scene a bit better than him. The younger Lysle tried to share her brother's cautious optimism, but she was clearly defensive as she saw a familiar figure land beside the first Jedi before being followed by another. Jamie gave a cautionary wave to Kyra Perl Kyra Perl , trying to probe the seriousness of what was happening from her response.

"Well we don't know if i-" His attempt to dissuade aggressions interrupted as his sister pulled the elder Lysle's arm to stop him, as she preferred to allow the more experienced Jedi to handle the situation. It was better to provide backup to those who knew better in her mind.

TRACK III

"Now dere ya be exactly right, mastah Jedi." Wyn drawled with his revolver up high. Lazily aimed just between Caedyn's feet for the moment. "This ain't a negotiation at all."

A stretch there.

"Apologies for mah compatriot, Mistah Grin over 'ere." Which was a weird nickname for Roman. The scowl was plastered to his face with the desperation of a suckling babe. Instead it was his face decorating the grin for all its worth. "-he's always been a lil' soft." A gesture with his head towards Dumbal over there though.

"Mistah Smooth here tho. Nothin' soft about him."

The corpse of the dock worker was still resting nearby. Bloody, torn in half by an angry vibro cut. "He jus' waiting... hoping for an excuse." A shrug there too, before Wynter smiled an innocent smile again. Weird, that. How a man could smile such a nice smile, while talking bloody murder without a doubt. "Why don't we give him one, hm?"

Wynter REALLY hoped that his stalling was helping Maijan Paisea get into position.

By all accounts she had slipped into the White Current and disappeared. While the Jedi were all focused on them, Wyn really hoped she was making her way to their back, which would let them end this quickly. Instead of a protracted battle lasting several minutes with cinematic actions and intakes.

"Well we don't know if i-" Spoken up by Lysle... it made Wynter blink.

Then a snort. "Mistah Smooth? Go wild." While still looking at Lysle, the revolver suddenly jerked to the side to shoot the young man in the chest, once or twice.

Tension snapped.

Everything devolved from there.

Lliara Daeva

Pharmaceuticals (Save|Kill)
Location: Ruusan
Job: Acquire Jedi Artifacts
Crew: Undoubtedly

Dumbal didn't appreciate the fact Lliara offered to sing him a ballad. No accounting for taste with that one. Not that she had any intention of composing such a work over something as unremarkable as slaughtering a defenseless man. Now, a thousand defenseless men might be worthy of song depending how one went about it.

The ground shook and broke as a Jedi made her debut. Lliara danced to avoid any sudden cracks or savagely unlevel ground that might cause her to become unbalanced. Trivial task, really. A showy display, but hardly one that would scare her away. Oh, some hapless bandits, perhaps; who didn't love fleeing in the face of an invisible and 'limitless' power? Lliara for one, actually. Nothing personal; but they were going to need a Wall of Light to frighten her off -- and only because that power had the potential to destroy just as much as it 'saved.'

Garbed in Inquisitor black, the slender figure shifted her weight onto her right leg as her blaster fell to her side. Lliara planted her left hand atop her hip as everyone prattled on as was their custom.

'Halt, thieves! Surrender now and no one will get hurt.'

'Oh, thank you, Master Jedi. We assaulted a Jedi camp knowing we'd have this gracious opportunity. Thank you. Thank you!'

"Do you people hear yourselves?" the synthesized voice rang. Jedi must wake in the morning and practice being condescending, holier-than-thou busybodies of the galaxy. They weren't meditating; they were dreaming up how to sound like a badass so their enemies prostrated themselves begging forgiveness.

Lliara lifted her blaster once more, while her left hand retrieved a short cylinder from her waist. Wynter apparently lost his patience, which was fine by her. There wasn't a whole lot left for them to "discuss" anyway. She'd focus on taking a few shots with her pistol at Caedyn Arenais curious if the Knight knew how to defend himself. After all, he'd taken point. Man looked like he wanted to be tested.

Perhaps Saul Laverne Saul Laverne would be able to squeeze by and strike at Samara... Who was Lliara kidding, the Lizard was probably going to attack Caedyn himself being the closer target. That would work out just as well; then Lliara might take on the Master herself.
