Under The Nose

Ven blinks for a minute before a deep mischevious grin crosses her light green face, laughing lightly, "Oh.. But that'll make it so much more fun. The more frightening I get, the more hilarious they react. Though.." she trailed offf, looking oneway and then the other, "I dont think there'll be much frightening with a couple of them." She shrugs, "Ah, owell. Not like it matters, it's just always an added bonus along with getting to choose the ship I like, seeing as I'll probably end up piloting it, I believe."

Krest nods slow, looking back down to the room. "I saw a lot of melee people. But no pilots. So I'm sure you got this in the bag." He shakes his head, smiling again. "Though I'd love to see one of them try to talk you out of your choice. That would be the entertainment of the night."

Kaiden smirked and walked out. He paced from ship to ship, inspecting each one from close range to see which would be best for transportation.....

He yawned, another day, another job.... After this, maybe he'd take a vacation or something... What else did he have to do?

The green girl and the red guy were talking. Must be close, he pondered to himself. He didn't know any of these people, and probably wouldn't anytime soon.

Ven sighed as she diverted her gaze to the line of ships ahead of her, inspecting every little detail she could. Her eyes shifted from ship to ship as she found that each one she looked at didn't strike her fancy, least, until she found herself looking at one specific ship. An XS-800 Light Freighter. The Falleen's eyes grew wide, and she seemed to move in a daze as she strode over to it, walking along its side and inspecting every section of it that she could. Her fascination with the ship progressed further as she continued her inspection for another few minutes before making her way back over to Krest.

She looked at the Zabrak with a deep set grin; she was obviously excited about it. “This one’s perfect. I love it. A XS-800 Light Freighter equipped with double laser cannons, two five person escape pods, enough room for ten passengers total (if you count the two crew it requires),” She states off to the side, before jumping right back into her joy, “And a cockpit that is designed to separate from the rest of the ship when needed, say, if something goes wrong and the crew and passengers need to land somewhere safely on a planet. It’s got a class 3.0 hyperdrive rating and can fly at a maximum speed of 950 kilometers per hour, so I’ve been told.”

Ven continued to keep her gaze trained on the 30.2 meter long ship, shifting from one foot to the next as her excitement made it so she couldn’t stand being still. “This one may carry less than my own Quicksilver Dragon, but it definitely can carry more people and has the double laser cannons, as well as that class 3.0 hyperdrive rating, whereas mine is a class 2.0. And my ship is smaller and was definitely more expensive.” She wiggles the end of her nose, glancing at Krest, “Can I have one? Please?” She smiles widely, bumping into him a little, nudging him as she teases.

Just standing around next to Calico and listening to the people who were in the room with the giant Trandoshan was kind of entertaining. Especially when the little green woman said something about being scary or something. He burst out in laughter when she spoke about being frightening. ''You, ssscary? Are you seriousss?'' He said while continuing to laugh whole heartedly.

When they were inspecting the ships, the Trandoshan just stood there and watched. He didn't care about which one got picked, it just needed to get them to their destination.

It was time to get underway. The entrance to the garage grumbled open as metal screeched quietly against metal. It was a sharp, yet, minut sound. Outside, the sky was a deep blue lined with gray cloud; illuminated by a full moon. The sky was clear of all speeders.

"Time to move boys and girls. You have a fifteen minute opening. The fleet network will be completely down.' Calico's voice reverberated from the intercom around each side of the massive garage.

"I suggest you get a move on.

A yawn escaped Kaiden as he watched @[member="Ven"].

"Since I assume she's the pilot of our little expedition, hopefully she can pick our ship and we can go" he said with a shrug. "If we're lucky, we can stop for lunch on the way back from the mission" he joked with a slight smile. "Yknow... If we ever actually GET THERE"

Ven perked a brow and turned to Kaiden, cocking her head to the side, "Get there? I can get us there. No doubt about it." she nods confidently, her arms crossed over her chest, "That I know for sure." she looked up at the ship before back at the commander, "Guess I better get this ol' girl up and running then eh?" she moved to lower the ramp to enter the XS-800 before glancing at Krest, "Give me a hand?"

"Well, I can do it all myself then." she states, blinking, "I dont want to confuse you. But.. Mechanics.. You're still good with them? Can you check on the engines and everything? Make sure everything is up to par? I'll get the others rounded up." Ven moved to get off the ship and glanced about for the others. She couldn't quite see all of them and she didnt want to just outright yell out for them when the job at hand required secrecy. Frowning, she turned to the Commander, noticing him and walked over, taking a deep breath, "Quick question; if we get split up, are we to contact each other by holocom? Or some other meathod? Because I see we seem to be having separation issues right from the start." The only other's she could see at that moment who were in the hangar that she knew of were the Trendoshan, Krest, and Kaiden. She wanted to get this ship up and out of here as soon as possible, if they had only a few more minutes or so left before the Commander wanted them on their way.

(Sorry for not posting for a while)

Kallion hadn't needed any weapons, he had his pulse rifle, and he already had a ship, he didn't know why he needed to pick one that wasn't his, unless he had to stick with the others "that might be troublesome" he said aloud "but I guess if we have to leave then I'll just stick with the rest of the group."

Kaiden shook his head. This just screamed trouble to begin with. And now the group was uncoordinated.

Begrudgedly, Kaiden stepped into the ship that @[member="Ven"] had picked out for the group. He just hoped this crazy green lady would be able to get us there in one piece.

"Let's just get everyone and go before whatshisface tans our hides" Kaiden said, shaking his head. "Came here to get a payday like the rest of y'all, wouldn't want that to get karked with because someone's dawdling, yknow?"

"Comms. Standard kit. It won't stand out as much as something overly advanced, ironically enough. Sometimes trying to catch up with the new osik leaves you open to the basics." The Commander chewed down on his lower lip, staring at the shuttle.

"If the others don't move faster then you're leaving them behind. Punctuality is necessary in this business and they aren't exactly needed for the op." He paused, brow furrowed as a the tac-pad strapped unto his wrist started to beep.

"Get moving. If anyone is captured, completely lost, or if the situation devolves into a hopeless firefight, forgo all security protocol and give me a direct call. I will dispatch a CC squad to receive you...but that will ultimately botch the mission, and then, no credits for you." If that didn't get his point across, then nothing would. "I'll be waiting. Shift it boys and girls, your window is closing."

Ven nodded and glanced about to give one last look around for any of the other members of this operation before making for the XS-800, stepping up into it and begining to get the ship started up and running, "I know we have a limited window," she more or less said it outloud to herself as she sat in the cockpit, flipping switches, turning the engines on, doing everything she could to get the ship started. "Hopefully the few mintues it takes me to get this ship started will give the rest of them enough time to get on here.." still talking to herself outloud, which is what she usually did whenever she was on her own ship (alone or not), she continued to make the preperations to get the ship up and running.

Kaiden took a seat and looked around. "Well, I'm not exactly a fan of losing out on credits, we can stand to leave a person or two behind. It's not like we're incapable of handling this mission ourselves" he commented as he restlessly tried to relax in his seat, which as stated wasn't working so well.

He sighed. In his opinion, they had too many people already. Too many liabilities, too many opportunities for this mission to be botched. This wasn't his first mission of this kind, sure as hell wouldn't be his last.

Something bugged him about one of the guys here though... It was almost as if he could sense an odd presence from him. How he was able to sense it, he didn't know. Maybe it had something to do with the weird instinct he seemed to have...

Krest plopped down in a seat close to Ven, his hands behind his head. Still useless, until the ship made it to their destination he wouldn't be able to do much. Maybe a conversation, but the time for talk was over a while ago.

Saraq had been away or something similar. He didn't pay attention until his commander said something about being left behind if he wouldn't move faster. So he sprinted after the group which was already on the ship. When he arrived inside the ship he leaned against a wall and kept quite. He would sit down later on if the flight would turn out to take too long, but for now he would stand.

Ven glanced over her shoulder at the other members on this operation before tuning back to the console of the ship, taking a deep breath, "Alright. I hope that's everyone because time is up." She flipped a few more switches, the engines roaring harmoniously to her ears as she brought the ship up into the air, flew her out of the hangar, into the sky of Drev'starn and then into atmosphere of Bothuwai and afterward on into sapce. She let off a soft whistle as they glided out of Bothuwai's atmosphere, gently stroking the console. "She flies well. Better than I thought she would."

The Falleen leans back in the Captains chair, and sighs before turning the chair around to look at the others, "looks to me like we have a long trip ahead of us; 20-21 hours to Balmorra, if we play it safely." She states, tilting her head to the side, "There's more than enough room for all of us, and I was told that the XS-800 was equipped quite well so.. I suggest you make yourselves comfortable or otherwise occupy yourselves." she let the suggestions roll of her tongue; she didn't really care what they did as long as they got there safely and didn't distract her if the situation became dire. She moves to turn the chair back around to face the console.
