UnCommon Mercy

Juniper Canyon • Theme: Song of the Lonely Mountain
Outside, the noise had started the die down.

For many weeks, since the siege of Commenor, the enclave had been crowded with people fleeing from the destruction of Munto, the fighting around Chastin City, or were displaced by the occupational government of the Sith evicting them from their homes so that their officers might have accommodations and living quarters.

With the Sith having been pushed off of the planet by the Commenori, the disenfranchised and disaffected were starting to leave the enclave in pursuit of the lives that had been upended by the tyranny of the Sith. The tent-cities erected in the open air courtyard of the enclave, surrounding the shores of the reflecting pool, were starting to come down as people shuffled out in search of their livelihood or the families broken apart by the siege.

One place where the enclave was still overcrowded was the infirmary. That much would likely not be changing any time soon, so the Jedi adapted as best they could with the resources that they had at hand. There were more infirm and wounded than there were beds, pushing the infirmary out into the halls and corridors to find space so that people were not just littering the floor. It stretched the healers of the enclave to the limits of what succor they could give, which had in turn pressed more responsibilities on the shoulders of the younglings who ordinarily attended to the healers and their apprentices.

The young Nautolan laid a hand on the forehead of a woman who was lying on a cot placed out in one the nondescript halls of the enclave's mountain temple. The fever had not yet broken. Her skin was clammy to the touch.

As he meditated there, he could feel the Light Side of the Force pass through him to wash over the afflicted woman. He could feel her pains ease, the fever tempered. Retracting his arm, he boy stood and moved on through the halls of the temple.

He emerged out into the sunlight. A cloudless sky shone overhead, reflected off the walls of stone that encompassed the Jedi temple that had been carved out in the Commenori valley.

Despite everything that had happened in recent days, it was a new day. One that saw that life finds a way.

The battle had been won
And many had been lost
A entire city destroyed
The capital itself had taken quite a beating
Stardust herself had nearly lost her life to defend a place she called home. Now with the weeks going by and having gotten out of the hospital she was eager to get to work with the knights of commenor again. However first she wanted to pay a visit to the jedi enclave that she heard was set up see how things were going in the aftermath, see if they needed any supplies at all.

Her shuttle slowly made it's way to the juniper canyon where the enclave had set up, descending to land stardust listened to the hissing of hydraulics and the ship slowly whine down before the ramp lowered. Stepping out she covered her eyes and let them adjust before moving off towards the building that were inside the walls as she closed her eyes feeling the force flow around her and let a breath out as she stopped to simply look around caught up within its beauty....

Entering Commenor Space.

The Jedi Academy Network was a pivotal asset for many a Jedi whom sought to serve the Galaxy by whatever moral means they could find, yet did not have any permanent residence within the remaining Enclaves and Temples to call home. Bekk's previous branch that he had belonged to had been evacuated during his long-term stay on Iridonia, the World which he had trained upon having come under the influence of Galactic Politics and the Jedi there having been forced to spread out to other locations, whether Silver Jedi or the Alliance in Exile, Bekk had lost track of those he had been close with, yet pertained to the ideals and position of a Jedi Knight forever willing to step forward for the sake of others, as well as in service to the Force itself.

Commenor, a World that had been popular on the Holonet of late for it's recent dispute with the ever growing Sith Empire, a victimized world like so many others these days. Bekk had spotted the assignment when it had come about on the Jedi Comport, volunteering himself and the crew of the Fidelity to travel there and provide whatever medical supplies and aid they could spare, as well as to determine the state of the people and see how the Jedi Order could further be of assistance. Though the Jedi Order itself was more a collection of smaller organizations and pockets of Jedi Enclaves and the like, Bekk knew that as long as there were Jedi present in the Galaxy, the Order remained no matter it's image to the public.

His clearance had been granted and he had received his confirmation while en-route. Alongside his suggested objectives, was an official frequency linked to the Jedi Academy Network. This Comm-Frequency would allow Bekk to announce his arrival and request further details and possibly even docking information from any Jedi personnel having arrived on-world before him. Entering into Commenor's atmosphere, that's exactly what he did.

"This is Jedi Knight, Bekk Mag'ra of the Fidelity.
We have just reached Commenor and are requesting rendezvous with any present associates,
or Jedi Personnel under the advisement of the Jedi Academy Network. Over?".

The young Sephi enjoyed the sensation of warmth.

He had no idea what sunlight looked like, so he tried to imagine it. The books talked of golden rays. He had no frame of reference for color. Gold had no more meaning to him than did red or green or indigo. Except, he knew that gold was valuable, so the wondered about that quality. Was sunlight also valued?

The raven-haired elf felt a presence move near where he stood. Holding fast to his staff, the boy turned his head toward where he could sense this person in the Force. "Hello," the youngling offered lightly.

"Ground Control to Major Tom..."

In the small subspace radio room, the pair of Freedom Warriors were trying to coordinate the space control picture for the launch window that had been made available for Jedi-affiliated traffic originating or destined for the Juniper Canyon area. There was a particular Jedi Ace that the HoloNet seemed to be going nuts over.

"I tell you, Chuck, this is the strangest thing I've ever seen," the other radio operator remarked, as he looked over at his partner. "Why would the papers want to know what kind of shirts he wears?"

Before the other could answer, a blip on the com-scan distracted him. "Look, there's another ship coming in."

While the first received the transmission, the other was running the broadcast identification. "Fidelity. Looks like it checks out," the man remarked.

"Fidelity, this is the Jedi Enclave. We are passing landing coordinates to you now. Welcome to Commenor."

She perked up, hearing something coming towards her. She turned to spot a youngling, looking into his eyes and could see he was blind and let a breath as she relaxed herself drawing the force into her a bit as she smiled

"Fidelity, this is the Jedi Enclave.
We are passing landing coordinates to you now. Welcome to Commenor."
The response came in on a very timely fashion, Bekk turning his attention to the central terminal and reaching forward to switch priority over to communications, receiving the co-ordinates to the Enclave down on Commenor.

"Roger that, I'm heading to you now. Fidelity, out" Bekk responded, speaking clearly into the mic before ending the call. The Frigate wasn't exactly the smallest Vessel but there seemed to be plenty ground to land down on, once coming into view of the Enclave.

By the time the Fidelity's engines had been powered down, Bekk had moved to the lower decks while the Crew focused on after-flight diagnostics. The Jedi Knight was pleased that this assignment was an inside job at one of the Order's newer locations, there being no need for secrecy, he had chosen one of his preferred Jedi Tunic's. Carrying his lightsabers, standard protocol for all Jedi, Bekk departed the Ship.

Given the World had recently been under attack, the Jedi Enclave was flawless from what he could see, likely making it a recent installment in the hope of further protecting the innocent. He was something of a rogue element among the Jedi these days since he had moved to Iridonia for an extended period of time, his people having fallen into a time of great civil war. Nowadays, he was more of a nomad among Jedi, traveling to different Temples and taking on any assignment he could get to better serve the Force as well as sustain his livelihood.

After all, even Jedi required the credits to get by in life.
