"The N&Z Section C is essentially the shadow of the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, a reorganized and restructured division within the company which has built its shady reputation within the very whispers of the N&Z's locations..."
-- Excerpts of a description describing the N&Z: Section C.

' Umbrella '
A story about the
N&Z Umbrella Corporation set in an undisclosed location, at an undefined time . . .

[ POST THEME ]

The main shaft was large, elongated, and had that sterile, artificial smell that burned the nose and assaulted the senses. A main light, situated atop the turbolift, served as the source of illumination in this dark place and bathed Her in a shadow that stretched a long way across the expanse. A fitting metaphor for what had befallen the Outer Rim systems since they begun to conspire together. There were smaller, less powerful light sources dotted all across the structure which you could find here or there for all the eye to see. They appeared to shine a luminescence somewhere between yellow and green that blinked in and out of focus. Her knew better than that, however.

The strange colouration came about from the reflection of the inner tanks and the amalgamation of chemicals that were bound together in some gelatinous, liquid compensation designed to keep the hosts within from degradation. They say the average Human can begin to decompose within a matter of hours after death. This was a fate that Her would rather welcome for themselves then what befell the array of people that she had fed into the murky, convoluted corners of the great Nargath and Zanareth ' Umbrella ' Corporation.

Section C some knew it as.

Amid the burning smell of cleansers designed to keep the area clean and sterile (in order to prevent the outbreak or spread of infection) Her released a plume of smoke into the air as she exhaled audibly. She admired the haze of gas as it dispersed quickly and was absorbed by the overheard air scrubbers that whirred quietly in a low pitch, droning sound. Lowering their arm to hang over the railing Her knocked the build up of ash from the end of the stub and held the lit cigarette between two fingers as she waited for the Man Behind The Curtain to rendezvous with them under the cover of the facility to continue their plot together against the Star Ways itself.

Those crimson, calculative eyes were starring into the expanse below and, in spite of herself, Her did not want to look away from the abyss.

It has been three years since the Sartinaynian Crisis, and yet, the conspiracy endured so long as Her continued to live...

...and so long as the man behind Umbrella allowed it so.

The last time they had even been in eachother's vicinity had been at the height of the Imperial Confederation's power, but even then, they had different agendas, different methods and different opinions. it was always to be expected that the machinations of two people with different agendas would clash every so often. While the Lord of Hunger did not dislike the chaos some of this particular associate brought to the fore, that same unpredictable nature also caused a great deal of headaches and quick interventions, putting her unpredictability narry at the same level as Marlon Sularen's impulsivity.

Still, so far... all her plans, no matter said aforemention unpredictability had brought only favor to the monstrous man's own designs. With every moment of Chaos she had wrought, the abomination within the force had managed to turn what looked like an abject failure or utter defeat into a moment of learning, of introspection or simply into a means to gain more power. Two invasions she had created and orchestrated, two invasions in which no plan was made and the war was lost, but twice in a row, there were spoils to be had for the Lord of Hunger. After all, by having revealed himself twice to the ruling class of the Sith, he had managed to gain their attention, by defying them successfully, he had gained their note and their ire and with the predictable nature of his nephew, the dissolution of the Nargath House was drawing ever closer, meaning that the most senior member of said house would gain control over the N&Z... there would be no better time to once again reveal himself in full to the galaxy. Though first... She would be meeting him, She would see what she had wrought upon the galaxy, what She and her unpredictability had managed to mask and veil from this useless reality...

The air stiffened, a ripple seemed to go throughout the very bonds holding the molecules together, as space itself seemed to start to tear itself apart, a black miasma leaking into the space in which Her Her was waiting. The foul green energy of unlife, the darkness of dread and the shadows of dreams pushing aside the air, while a man... not a monster, not an armored behemoth, but a man stepped through this treason against all theories of relativity, this affront to the laws of the galaxy. Dressed in a fine silken white suit, wearing the finest leather boots and gloves with electrum adornments, a cape with many an aurodium and electrum threading and detailing waving behind him, this individual's very arrival dripped with power, a feeling which could not be denied nor disavowed. What came through this portal, was so much more than what she had seen last, the depth within the force was more vast, enormously so, the refinement of his power so much more brilliant, but at the same time, behind all the veneeer, behind the mask of beauty and attractiveness, behind the unnaturally vibrant eyes of gold and crimson, there was still the abomination, the monster ever so strong, ever so hungry and ever so willing to devour everything in its path.

"You requested my presence...child," The voice of the man was strong, domineering, not persay deep, but honed and toned to nigh perfection, an example of utilizing pitch and tonality to show superiority through sound. "You must truly be desperate if you do not simply relay your desires and designs through Amalia... do enlighten me... why have you requested my presence?"

The Lord of Hunger said:
"You must truly be desperate if you do not simply relay your desires and designs through Amalia... do enlighten me... why have you requested my presence?"

"I do not like Amalia," Her admitted to L.O.H. "In time I hope to never have to interact with that woman ever again."

There was an animosity when it came to Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory Amalia Visconti | Mira Rhory . Her knew why. It all stemmed from two decisions that would permanently damage the working relationship between Umbrella's C.E.O and Section C's saboteur.

When the Imperial Corrections Directorate made their move to secure the Mahporeem stations set up in liaison with the Mandalorian Empire, Visconti had made efforts to procure her own corporate interests (on the behalf of Umbrella) which were in opposition to the politics that Her practiced during the height of the Imperial Confederation and that did not sit right with the Rule of Two at all. No doubt the effort to procure business with the Mandalorian's stemmed from the man that Her was meeting with tonight (as everything involving the N&Z stemmed from his machinations) and yet Visconti was the proverbial fall guy when it came to the debacle concerning the incident during the Mandalorian-Confederation conference as it pertained to the future working relationship between Umbrella and Her.

Perhaps that was why L.O.H made Visconti the face of his company.

To take the brunt of it while he worked from behind-the-scenes.

There were advantages to such a dichotomy, Her would quietly admit.

Either way Umbrella's face required a good punch, Her summarized. It should have become immediately apparent that business with the Mandalorian contingent was impossible for the N&Z to pursue after it became clear that their leader was in the back-pocket of the Sith Empress, and yet, Visconti nevertheless made a considerable effort to maintain the company's corporate interests with the Mandalorian's after it became clear that Imperial politics took precedence over any contracts or business dealings which Umbrella had quietly negotiated without Her knowing about it. As she thought about Visconti, Her quietly noted to themselves that further inquires about Umbrella's ties to the Mandalorian Empire were required.

"We will see what the future holds for my continued employment in Umbrella by the end of tonight, won't we?" Her muttered as she took one last toke on the cigarette and then dropped it over the railing. She made an effort not to exhale in L.O.H's direction as she turned mindful that a plume of smoke being blown in anyone's direction was as disrespectful as it could get. Respect was a fine line with it came to dealing with this man, Her knew. In retrospect she had, perhaps, stepped over the line when it came to dealing with the person being Umbrella's curtain over the past three years. Certainly, there was no doubt that the loss of the Diarchy, in particular, had been damaging to his company's portfolio in recent times.

Her quietly guessed that if L.O.H ever found out about who was really behind the Yaga Minor conflict then this meeting wouldn't be happening at all as she thought about it.

She would be dead, in actuality.

So many secrets, so many lies. One day it would all come toppling down on them all.

As Her laid their crimson eyes upon L.O.H she did well not to gasp in disgust. Gone was the old, frail thing which revealed itself in the midst of the Sartinaynian Crisis. As Umbrella grew it's corporate, economic, and political interests across the Outer Rim Territories (over the past three years) L.O.H had also grown stronger and more powerful than ever before. Another sin to join the others that would keep Her awake she quietly feared to themselves.

"It is good to see you again," Her lied to L.O.H as she approached him.

Gingerly leaning upwards towards his face, Her pecked L.O.H gently on either cheek before moving away to turn their back towards him. It was Ayra who had taught her apprentice about the dynamics of a power-play as it pertained towards the accumulation of power. With your back turned to your associates, rivals, or adversaries, a Sith Lord inspires in others the idea that they hold no fear or feel no threat as it came to those who worked for them, or with them, particularly, when you already hold all their secrets and know all of the threads that taught you how to pull them around to your machinations, and bend them to your whims.

But in truth Her needed to turn their back to L.O.H for another, far weaker reason. It was the same familiar feeling that she had felt from the moment they first met, in person, in the Ghost Nebulae. This man disgusted Her in a way that only one other had inspired in them, and like Him, Her needed to hide their feelings albeit for different reasons. It was in the Jedi in them, Her feared. The girl that she had been before the fall and who would have never joined sides with such a man. Sacrifices were, however, a necessary component as it pertained to revenge.

"Forgive me," Her managed to exclaim while trying not to stammer. "We have much to discuss and I have come along way from Enarc. Somethings have to be said in person..."

It was a vain attempt to deceive L.O.H, however. He must know by now how this unpredictable, enigmatic woman truly felt about him after all these years of conspiring together.

"I am here to facilitate the acquisition of an outfit located in the Mid Rim systems," Her revealed as she regained their composure. "This new avenue of commerce should be of interest to Umbrella. I shall endeavour to continue supplying opportunities to the company..."

Yes, the Empire of the Lost, the Diarchy, and the Imperial Confederation had all fallen. Yet, Umbrella remained in the ashes. Three years ago this company had been on the fringes of the economic, corporate, and political scene as it pertained to the Outer Rim Territories. Then one fateful meeting with Alicia Drey had changed all of that. Wherever Her had moved, plotted and ultimately paved the way towards significant upheaval across Imperial, Diarchy and Sith space, the N&Z had followed to swoop in and burrow their way into influence, control, and ultimately, corporate power.

This dichotomy continued to serve Umbrella well. Now another path would open for the company to take, and like before, Her was their blunt instrument designed to take them inwards, and where L.O.H would supplant the tendrils to burrow deep into the dirt where no Jedi could ever, truly eradicate the shadow set to grow in the High Republic.

It was as Ayra had taught their apprentice: "Through destruction, I breed creation."

Three years of conspiracy had created a powerful, corporate machine, and yet there was still more places to grow, Her knew.

"I will facilitate the acquisition of the Tarsai Vigil on the behalf of Umbrella," Her told L.O.H with their back still turned.

The less she saw of the man, the better.

"This new subsidiary and it's operations will open up the Mid Rim systems for Umbrella to expand and move into. According to my analysis, the Imperial remnants will remain an insignificant power, as it pertains to galactic politics and economics, for the next financial quarter. Certainly, Sularen and his Final Dawn will be a slow thing. Mahporeem will, I think, will be a small player as well... The High Republic, however, are not a spent force."

His eyes slowly moved as the requestée planted a peck on each of his cheeks, his eyelids closing ever so slightly as to discern what she was planning, yet when she turned her back to Him, the Lord of Hunger understood. It was her modus operandi after all; to lull her compatriots, to veil their senses and their minds with a sense of ease. Many of her victims had been played accordingly, by her mysterious and hard to ascertain demeanor, Her nigh impossibly to predict next move. It made her deadly and dangerous, but she seemed smart as well, He knew she had a certain degree of disgust for what he was, perhaps even moreso for what he represented, as just like her, His own motives, His own designs were convoluted, complex and hard to decipher, which despite the more linear approach he took, must've been the only reason she had yet to try and stab her lightsaber in his own back.

"Spare me the euphemisms and sidetracking, child," The monster looked down upon the woman's back, a moment he wondered how she'd act, how she'd be more useful to him if she were to become part of his Children of C program. If not for Her, He could still hunt down the one who did call herself this one's master, each of them had potential, each of them had managed to dig and grow roots in organizations which had some use in the grand scheme, the web of intricacies the Lord of Hunger had been spinning. Yet his head moved from side to side, shaking off that thought for now, as such an act would inevitably lower her individuality and her knack for throwing wrenches in any plan which stood opposite to her own. It had always seemed better to simply utilize her actions and draw favors out of the consequences of said actions.

"A new avenue of commerce could be interesting," Holding one of his gloved hands under his perfectly chiseled chin, the Monster looked up and seemed to think about the possibilities.

"Aren't the Tarsai Vigil already part of your operational web within the High Republic?" A hum escaped the man's lips, a sign that he was at the very least interested in what She was proposing, or at least hinting at, as He did expect some sort of proposition to be made anyway. "The Five Veils if I recall...hmm, it does have some merrit to compound some of our operations within the High Republic, I may have the perfect connection within their political system."

Taking a step closer to Her, standing close enough for him to be able to calmly place his right hand upon her right shoulder, He leaned in as his fingers began to grip tighter. "The mandalorian cuck up, the brosi campaigns, the failed attempt to create a schism between the Sith and their subservient allies... Your ambition is noticeable on all fronts, but be careful not to burn yourself onthe flames of desire."

Someone less cunning, and far less intelligent, would have bitten back at the snide tone L.O.H adopted as he seemingly mocked the recent developments across the Outer Rim Territories. But Her knew better than that. Conceitedness was an attribute which confined Ayra and prevented them from accomplishing the many feats and accolades that her disciples had achieved since their passing. As Her understood it the old, wily Sith Master (if she were here) would have undoubtedly shot back at L.O.H with a series of half-truthes and barbs that would have ultimately amounted to... Nothing of consequence. Such banality would only serve to damage and ruin a working relationship which had, despite L.O.H's tone, yielded much success in recent years.

It was as Bane taught to his apprentice, and as they went onto teach theirs. The Rule of Two was designed to incorporate a dichotomy between two beings that only the stronger, more powerful of the two would emerge from such a relationship after one or the other inevitably betrayed them as per the tenants of the dark side.

Indeed, the galaxy were no longer dealing with Ayra or Mendacium any longer.

They dealt with Her and not even that disgusting, arrogant tone of voice emitting from the Lord of Hunger could push this indomitable, enigmatic woman towards an argument that would sever the most defining corporate relationship of the new ninth century.

Control.

Her always had to be in control.

The Lord of Hunger said:
"Aren't the Tarsai Vigil already part of your operational web within the High Republic?"

"Yes," Her replied as she took a step forward to remove L.O.H's hand from their shoulder. "Tarsai is a security subsidiary for a megacorporation known as the Cortessan Finance Group. The company itself has not been a known figure in High Republic economics or politics since the revival of the Five Veils Route through the Mid Rim systems. I suspect that Wend Maricon is a spent commodity. Nevertheless my involvement in the restoration project, through the formation of Tarsai Vigil, was most useful in procuring naturalized citizenship on Enarc."

Was it co-incidence that Her had chosen to immigrate into a star system which L.O.H was so familiar too?

It has been some years since the attack on Enarc by those Sith who, in the final days of the Dark Empire, had attempted to take control of the Dark-Imperial bloc who were founded by Ignacious Korvan on Carlac by the turn-of-the-century. So many incidents had come about since the days where the Royal Naboo Republic had been the defining sector-wide power (in what cartographers referred to as the ' Southern systems ' ) before Queen Kalantha reformed her kingdom into what the High Republic is today. Such as it was that it seemed that all the viable players in and around Theed forgot all about it.

But Her did not forget. Every event orchestrated by the Sith Order, or those who imitated it, was to be catalogued, documented and consigned to the memory-- a useful motivator, surely, but also as a means to procure new or old adversaries in order to facilitate the destruction of those rivals who ruled from Jutrand and the Stygian Caldera itself.

"Now is the time to move on from the Cortessan," Her continued to explain to L.O.H while continuing to ignore what he had said about Brosi. "Under Umbrella, Tarsai Vigil would be another subsidiary absorbed by a legitimate and powerful galactic-spanning megacorporation who possesses the finances, funding, and personnel to compete with the other corporate entities presently in operation along the Five Veils Route, and the other hyperlanes running through the High Republic."

Cocking their head around to lull it on their shoulder, Her looked back at L.O.H as she continued to talk. "By bringing my operation into Umbrella's sphere of influence I am taking my first steps towards ascending the ladder within the N.&.Z. What I have learned from Brosi, Bastion, and Lianna is that by working more closely together with you would be far better than continuing how I have worked ever since you recruited me into Section C."

"Don't you agree?"

The way the woman moved forwards to try and escape the grasp of his hand upon her shoulder somewhat amused the Lord of Hunger to the point that he'd loosen his grip enough for her to actually escape his grasp. It was in essence quite a metaphoric moment in his own opinion. he knew she wanted control, that she desired to be the one on top in this peculiar relationship the two shared. He quite frankly... did not bother too much with what she had done and what she was still planning on doing, not because he trusted her or because he would deign her to be beneath his attention. No, he simply did not bother because he knew without any doubt, that he was without question, the one piece she had yet to figure out completely, the one thread in her enormous web, her complex tapestry of lies and schemes which most likely bothered her to the point of utter frustration.

"So...I reckon you wish to have the ability to act without impunity on site," The man took a step back, creating some additional distance between himself and the woman, gently brushing his chin as he squinted his eyes a bit. "While Amalia will still outrank you, The position of Director would give you all the freedom you desire in regards to the organization and build up of the N&Z's industrial, financial and potential military presence within the High Republic. However, do note, that as a director, all your actions are legally and corporately considered to be wholly on your own accord. Any action you take without express permission from the Board, Amalia or myself is to be considered your responsibility and yours alone."

It was a bit of a legal framework which his grandnephew Tertius had set up in order to allow the Directors nigh unlimited power in their own right, but not without the means to effectively cut them off in case they overstepped the mark. With Amalia still holding a tight grip on the overall affairs of the N&Z and Credius effectively holding all the strings and puppets within the corporation, allowing Her Her to act on her own and grant her much greater ability to move assets was seen as a promotion internally and externally it wouldn't make too much of a problem. The board was after all under The Lord of Hunger's thumb, the other two appointed Directors were already indebted to him and wise enough to understand the pecking order.

"Still..." Raising his hand a bit, holding his hand slightly tilted to the side with the palm upwards, Credius made a gesture to illustrate his own doubts as they remained lingering within his mind. "Do turn this into a success... succeed in setting up a proper regional network for the N&Z and the position of Director will be yours... fail in this task and you'll simply have to be utilized elsewhere, in places where your talents can be of more use and of greater effect. After all, a spy worthy of the name would be most useful in operating behind enemy lines and planting the seeds of chaos we've been preparing...no?"

It was only when Her was this close to a man like L.O.H that she understood why Ayra had so quick to insult others in a past life. Conceit had been an attribute which Her had identified in the old Sith Master during their lessons together on Kalist VI. The way that the gatekeeper spoke so eloquently about the dark side had been almost intoxicating for the fallen Jedi and yet every syllable dripped in arrogance to the point that Her understood why the Darth had been exiled from the One Sith at one point in time.

Her endeavoured not to repeat such mistakes. Whereas their predecessor would have passionately proclaimed the rhetorical question, "Have I not already been acting in impunity?" to L.O.H's slighted jib and tone, Ayra's successor remained quiet and resolute. Her would have to be more cunning than Ayra, and the Nomad, if she was to complete Bane's work and fulfil their shared destiny.

It took an extraordinary amount of self-restraint to keep themselves in check with the L.O.H. Alienating someone like him would be far more disastrous than the failed Brosi campaigns. Quietly, cunningly, Her would have to endure the way that this Sith spoke. Oh, yes, she was confident that the L.O.H was a Sith Lord in hiding in the shadows; working to an end which was to yet to be revealed to a supplicant such as Her, and yet, she hadn't figured everything out about the man, and that gave her pause as it came towards his inevitable demise at her hands.

Bane would appreciate her hand remaining still in a moment like this, Her quietly summarized, as she listened to L.O.H dictate terms of the N&Z's acquisition of Tarsai Vigil. It was always an easy thing for a Sith Lord to slip into frenzy and unleash their fury upon another foe. Yet, a cunning Dark Lord of the Sith always kept themselves in control.

Erasure could wait a few more years.

Her took another drag of the cigarette while L.O.H articulated the arrangement.

Naturally, the N&Z would disown and even discredit anything to do with Her in the event that she was responsible for another incident that the company could be drawn into. Umbrella had learned a thing or two from the debacle involving the Mahporeem stations and the former Mandalorian personnel who Her had tried to seize with the old I.C.D during the middle of a diplomatic summit with the Mandalorian's leader. Disavowment would be a common verse that Visconti and her cronies would play to the tune of as it pertained to their business connections with Her, she summarized.

Yet, it was almost laughable that L.O.H considered to even take the time to try and draw the box in that Her willingly jumped into as if it would be impossible for the wily, cunning enigma not to simply leap out when she felt like it. As it pertained to the individual self, Her felt like there were no rules which would confine her to such a modus operandi. It was Mendacium who taught his apprentice that a true Sith Lord could enter anywhere and everywhere without being perturbed or prevented from doing so. Limitation was for the imperfect being and the Sith should strive for perfection, he had also taught.

The tapestry drawn by the likes of Umbrella, with all their schemes, rules and connections, were merely one of many which Her traversed without any hesitation or disturbance to what they wanted. It was the same for the Empire of the Lost, when Alicia Drey founded the Fifth Wing in order to instigate war with the Kilran administration and the Thandon Star Cluster. So to was it the same with the Imperial Confederation and the clandestine Project Tion that had been created for the same purpose as the treasonous seditionists which Drey had recruited to drive the first Imperial-Sith hostilities since the Second Great Hyperspace Wars.

Even the laws and regulations of the High Republic were seen no more than mere guidelines which could articulate and define the line that was to never be crossed. Only Her would always cross that line because there was no limitation on themselves or the purpose that she was working towards.

Perfection could not be limited.

Not even by the Lord of Hunger.

The Lord of Hunger said:

"No," Her replied curtly to L.O.H's suggestion that she would be far more useful in a more discreet role than the one awarded via the position of Umbrella-Tarsai's Director. "Besides... Hiding in plain sight is a superior disguise."

Her licked their lips and felt the familiar broken skin on her tongue. Parched although she was from smoking, Her took one last final drag of the cigarette and then stomped it out beneath her heel. It was all part of a quick ritual to fortify their senses and attune them to the work at hand for Her was so, so disgusted by the man who had been a powerful, quiet ally over the past three years. By the time Her turned around, to finally look L.O.H in the eye, all traces of disgust and malevolence for Umbrella's owner were hidden behind a well practiced mask designed to protect the enigma from his wrath.

"I will handle setting up Umbrella's ties in the Mid Rim systems. This expansion will be good for the company given the status of it's portfolio in the Outer Rim. Tarsai has the infrastructure and is already operational under the legislation signed by the Five Veils restoration project. By 910, Umbrella can be the preeminent corporate power in the so-called Southern systems around Naboo. So permanently entrenched that not even the Trade Federation could rival it and the duopoly that Umbrella can come to own."

Folding their arms across their chest, Her concluded the pitch for Umbrella's acquisition of Tarsai Vigil. "Visconti can call a company wide summit to be hosted on Enarc. There I will outline Tarsai's plan, so that by 910, Umbrella will be in prime position to move in and buy-out the infrastructure, resources, and commerce in the Trailing Sectors. If approved by the board then an offer can be made to the Cortessan which will be accepted. I will ensure it."

"Have I not already been acting in impunity?"

Like a fox, a wily manipulating beast of primal nature, the Lord of Hunger only grinned, his lips curling into a devious, even sinister smile which alluded to the nature behind the handsome exterior he bore at present. He was well aware of the woman's ambition, her desires and her 'nature', yet he also knew she had not delved deep into the very organization, the very shadow she was utilizing to her own ends and needs. While she had without question a good grasp on the nature of Section C, it was clear from how she seemed to behold the Lord of Hunger, that her actual understanding of the organization was at best limited.

He didn't mind though, to have her think she was using him, to have her think she had a proper grasp on what and who he was. Where she might've thought he had sought to uncover her own identity, he had no need for such information. She was a pawn, a piece on the board, a useful one without question, but also a troublesome one. He knew he could not fully control her, for her sith nature, her devotion to the abolished and long ignored rule of two had made her into a fine weapon... fine, but unpredictable and as such highly unreliable. Yet, even that unreliability, that unpredictability and general lack of loyalty to the monster standing before her had a multitude of uses. Ironically, all those traits she bore made her all the more predictable and all the more reliable, for it was always easier to expect betrayal from those who had not shown loyalty to begin with, therefor easier to predict and to counter any of their schemes.

This felt like nothing more than an attempt of the little sith to try and wrestle control from the N&Z away from the Lord of Hunger, but she was clearly underestimating him, clearly ignorant of just how deep his roots had taken within the very company which had been founded under his reign and which had rebounded the very moment he had begun to wake into real space once again.

"Besides... Hiding in plain sight is a superior disguise."

"It would be if you were ready to take on any adversity without flinching," The man's head tilted slightly to the side, his eyes squinting a bit. "But you've never truly been in plain sight, haven't you? You have always hidden yourself, behind names, wearing masks and manipulating the very image you present or represent."

"I will have to review the operations and the oversight the Tarsai Vigil claims to maintain on the Five Veils," With his smile vanishing, his eyes dulling slightly, as a stern and somewhat blank corporate expression took over on his face, Credius made it quite clear and obvious that he was always a corporate titan, he was the lifeblood of the darkness within the N&Z, he was the black heart whose thumping roused the industry of the corporation, whose devious nature had set the rules for the company long before Tertius had even deigned to look at the company's structure. "If their operational activity, their reach and their structural solvency are to be assessed as positive in balance, you may begin proceedings to integrate them into the security division of the N&Z. If they end up being assessed negatively... a strict, no-nonsense reorganization will be required before integration. Is this understood?"
