The Umbral Route Reweaver Bypass (URR-B) Mk. I is the Kainate answer to an old, experimental premise: The idea that a pilot should be able to change hyperspace course without reverting to realspace first, the same core function attributed to the earlier N-CRAB bypass concept. Where the older approach was framed as an astrogation bypass that slowly integrated new coordinates into an existing plan, the URR-B is engineered as a doctrinal navigation weapon. Asealed overlay that treats a hyperspace jump as a living route, continuously re-evaluable under pressure.

Its design philosophy is simple and Sith to the core: Motion is control. If an enemy can predict your vector, they can plan around you. If they cannot, they must react, and reacting is how empires bleed. The URR-B achieves this by performing mid-transit vector splicing through redundant calculation tracks that constantly cross-check one another, allowing course corrections to be attempted without gambling the vessel on a single thread of math. When conditions are favorable, it can reweave toward a new destination with far less delay than a full drop-out and recalculation cycle. When conditions are hostile, jamming, pursuit pressure, turbulent lanes, it can degrade intelligently into conservative behavior rather than committing to a catastrophic misjump.


Crucially, it does not pretend to break the laws of hyperspace. It cannot casually reweave through mass shadows or ignore interdiction realities. Instead, it excels at the kind of revectoring that wins campaigns. Small corrections that ruin enemy predictions, chase-path adjustments that keep pressure on a fleeing target, and evasive re-alignments that make pursuit traps unreliable. In the hands of the Kainate, the URR-B becomes less a convenience and more a principle, one more way their fleets refuse to be where enemies expect them, until the moment they arrive exactly where they are needed.
