New Year's Eve

Objective 1 : Party.
Objective 2 : Watch the festivities.
Objective 3 : Meet and discuss serious issues.
Objective 4 : Free (DBAD)

Bringing together disparate groups was difficult, and even dangerous, as it could even spark conflicts. However, the Commander believed the value was worth the risk. She'd seen what greed and individualism had wrought, and wanted to see better. Though she herself had held reservations about tying her own family, the New Star League Remnants, to others, it had been a positive experience overall, despite the setbacks and challenges. For this evening, Invitations had been made, and a HoloNET news addendum ensured the event's time location and dress code was available.

The venue for the Federation meeting had been UGF headquarters, and then the strategium aboard the Defender, before Arla had changed the final location to her home in New Alula City. This would be a gathering of some note, but also the beginning, she fervently hoped, of new friendships. Her bond with Serrin, Arla hoped, would bring the Night Sisters together with the Lilaste Order and the Remnants, in the United Galactic Federation. The views from the apartment complex were spectacular, of the cityscape just turning from evening to night as the sun's light faded and the artificial glow of the city planet lit up the darkness in a variety of colours.

The expansive penthouse was decorated gently, not ostentatiously with some Federation banners, and she'd hired a temporary staff for the evening to see to the food and drink service, as well as providing entertainment. Holoprojectors turned otherwise bare spaces into beautiful vistas of various planets. It was like visiting a planetarium, inside an apartment. There was a hell of a good supply of both food, and drinks, enough to satisfy most any taste and appetite. The entertainment consisted of a band and a dj, with each sectioned off artfully with sound dampeners so as not to overlap.

Arla herself was dressed, she thought and hoped and prayed, spectacularly. A friend had contacted a vaunted Qenan tailor to produce her gown, and surprised her with it on the eve of the function. She could hardly have refused. This would be half party half meeting, and she hoped that the good vibes would lead to a successful uniting of their groups.

Or, no one would turn up to her party, and she would be very, very sad. She hoped that didn't happen.

A diplomatic event from disparate and potentially dangerous groups, in her own home? Arla's decision baffled Asaaj, but she could only assume she had some ace in the hole that would ensure everyone was kept in check, Asaaj knew for one that she would not be inviting foreign powers to her own similarly named home in the Qina System. She looked at her hand as the last few embers of the teleportation spell died down and then walked onto the apartment. Apartment was a very loose term for this penthouse, it was nice, a bit too extravagant for Asaaj, but it did seem like a worthy venue for diplomatic talks. Her ship was a lightyear away, awaiting her return if she wished a hasty retreat, but she intended to enjoy this event.

Other members of the loose coalition of nightsister clans were here, some she was close to, others, she barely recognised, she had long debated the value of the sisters opening themselves up to other factions. Serrin was convinced that the dathomiri needed the protection of this federation, but Asaaj herself was not fully convinced. Either way though, she would play the game and see what they offered, she had done it with the Eternal Empire, she had done it with the Braxant Covenant, she would do it with whomever came next.

"Commander Susni, your home I beautiful, thank you for your invitation, it is a pleasure and i lppl forward to seeing how we can cooperate." she smiled graciously and bowed her head gently at the woman who was dressed almost entirely in opposition to her own outfit.

Niara was cautious of this Federation. She understood, just as she understood a united dathomir was more capable of defending itself, that this had it's potential. Yet at the same time, she didn't know these people. She didn't know how aggressive or commanding they'd be, or if they'd really just all be cowards. Either way, that'd make them a detriment to their people, and more importantly her own clan.

The Felacatian Nightsister didn't usually dress up, but if she was going to figure out how these people functioned. The attention needed to be less on her. She might not want to go so far as to use spell of mimicry, at least, not yet. But she could something on for it. Something they'd find casual maybe. She wasn't really sure, it had been a long time since she'd done anything off Dathomir. When she was still very young. She knew she could change it if she really wanted to, magic could do quite a lot.

Still, she knew her spells well, in particular teleportation. Though she'd taken advantage of another ship to guide that. Niara would make her way up to the door, in the process spotting Asaaj En Kelsani Asaaj En Kelsani . She didn't know her well, but she remembered her from The Night Solstace.

"Yeah it's pretty nice." she agreed nodding her head towards the two of them, "Niara. Of the spiderclan." she introduced herself pretty simply, mostly just looking around until she could decide just how she was going to observe them all.
