OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: I tend to spend a lot of my time just creating worlds out of boredom and for my own enjoyment, so instead of just vomiting it all up on a google doc I thought I'd just go ahead and add them here. Add some random places for people to visit and etc, just trying to enrich the Forums a tiny bit. Eitherway, this is my first attempt to do that.

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
  • Gravity: Standard
  • Climate: Temperate
  • Primary Terrain: Oceanic hilly Savanahs, A massive rainforest bordered by mountains, and one collosal ocean.
  • Atmosphere: Type I
  • Major Locations:
Tyra'Theed: The largest city on the planet hosting around 72 Million individuals, and the capital of the Planetary Republic, Tyra'Theed is a truly beautiful sight to behold. Named after its counterpart on Naboo, Tyra'Theed's skyline is filled with arching ornate domes, great skyscrapers of various shapes and designs, and grand cathedrals dedicated to a variety of deities. And just like the Naboo, those within Tyra'Theed incorporate nature into their architecture. The great sky-scrapers are leveled, almost like massive and steep ziggurats piercing the sky, every level hosting a variety of purple, blue, or white leaf trees. Great vines crawl up the sides of buildings, flowering into all sorts of bizare and beautiful colors. Most neighborhoods almost look like public parks from the air, as great gardens maintained by the city accompany nearly every suburb. Yet by far the most intense part of Tyra'Theed's architecture is The Arch.

The Arch is a great bridge within the center of the city made up of duraglass and other strong see-through materials. It was created because when Tyra'Theed was founded, it was discovered that it laid directly in the path of the Panakadon migratory route. After an initial attempt to dissuade the Panakadons to go elsewhere, and several destroyed buildings, Tyra'Theed officials designed a great bridge in the center of the city to allow the Panakadons free passage whenever they should arrive at this leg of their journey. During the Panakadon passage, a great festival is held, honoring the great animals that both serve as cavalry mounts and beasts of burden for the cities across the great plains and who's feathers inspire many of the styles across Tyra'Theed.

Yet this constant migration has caused predators to move into the city, yet they have been integrated with much the same vigor that the Panakadons were. The Theedian Dragons roost in the tree layers of the ziggurat-like skyscrapers and fly down to feed from great ornate bowls the size of small houses which act as a city-wide trash bin for extra meat produced from the great butcher factories littering the area. The strain of Theedian Dragon within Tyra'Theed have been selectively bred and trained to ignore humans, and have become completely content to scavenge the vast left overs left behind by the cities occupants, and the occasional Panakadon that strays behind for too long. The Theedian Dragon has become such a common sight and integral part of Tyra'Theed that it is the official animal of the planet, and is depicted on the local currency as well as the Royal Seal that is used to stamp official documentation.

Tyra'Theed is also home to a small jedi temple, numbering only a dozen actual force users now and apart of no actual order, this Temple mostly chronicles the history of Tyra'Theed and act as spiritual guides to the population, occasionally finding a force sensitive and requesting that they come join and be trained in the way of the Jedi.

Little Oxon: Little Oxon is a smaller city comprised of around 37 Million individuals which acts as a great trade hub. Located directly in the center of the only continent on Tyra'Weilen, Little Oxon is the main space-dock on the planet, and acts as a capital for the Space Corp. Other cities across the globe ship their goods to Little Oxon to be exported off world, rather than pay heavy prices at the greedier and smaller corporations in the other cities compared to the fare prices in Little Oxon. Designed very similarly to Tyra'Theed with it's architecture, it is far more diverse. It is home to the Oxon Inter-Species Academy, home to much of the Omwati population on the planet who were invited here as a form of cultural exchange. The Omwati have integrated well into Tyra'Weilen society, favoring the music produced by the Naboo people. In exchange, their excellence with computers has led to several technological breakthroughs in Little Oxon and has kept the city running extremely efficiently. They've also influenced much of the architecture of the city, far sleeker and white designs dominant the sky-line rather than the tans and grays of Naboo architecture.

The Great Weilen Forest: The Eastern part of the continent is primarily dominated by a great purple rainforest. This forest is host to a variety of massive predatory creatures, constantly feeding off one another and sometimes venturing through the mountains to get to the herds of herbivores on the grasslands. Very little civilization lives within this Forest. Any installations tend to be intended for research only and are nestled comfortably in the canopy of the forest, far above the hulking beasts below.

POPULATION

  • Native Species: Panakadons, (WIP)
  • Immigrated Species: Humans, Amarans, Omwati, Sullustans, Kaduu, Peko-Pekos, Shaaks, Nerfs, Voorpaks, Umgullian Blobs,
  • Population: Moderately Populated
  • Demographics: 76% Humans, 14% Amarans, 7% Omwati, 2% Sullustan, 1% Other
  • Primary Languages: Naboo, Galactic Standard
  • Culture: Daily life in Tyra'Weilen is simple and laid back for the common folk while slightly more hectic for the Aristocracy and Merchants that have brought so much wealth flowing into Tyra'Weilen's ports.

Commoners in the countryside tend to lead simple yet enjoyable lives tending the great herds local wildlife or imported beasts such as Nerfs and Shaaks that travel around the planet grazing on the yellow grasslands. Life is easy although a tad repetitive, wake up, feed the animals, follow the animals around waiting for the animals to gather up for the night, set up camp when the animals do bunker down for the night, repeat the process. This routine is only broken occasionally by visits to nearby cities or the two annual weeks of the year that parts of the herds are harvested, butchered, and shipped to cities for processing and shipping. Yet it is not a danger-free life, as the great predators of Tyra'Weilen will often attack these great herds. Most of the time the farmers let the small predators take one or two rather than risk lives to save the cattle. Yet the larger beasts which can kill a few dozen must be scared off and hunted down before they do too much damage.

It is this occasional brush with danger that causes many to return back to the great metropolises that litter the city here and there. The great tan, gray, and gold cities are fitted with top-notch technology and service the roaming farmer groups with speedy healthcare by a network of jet-ambulances and state-of-the-art medical droids. Commoners in the cities tend to fall into one of four groups. Butcherers, those who furthermore butcher and prepare the meat sent in by the farmers. Clerks, those who serve under the Aristocrats and Merchants as warehousemen, salesmen, and various other jobs needed to run corporations and merchant enterprises. The Producers, who also work under the Aristocracy and Merchants, producing plasma or various cultural artifacts that can be replicated like sculptures or cosmetic designs. And finally, the Militias who serve as the professional military force of the planet, each City-State having a few hundred thousand men ready in case of any sort of invasion.

The Aristocracy and Merchants are the ones who do most of the organizing and political work on Tyra'Weilen. From running corporations to organizing Blob-Races they make sure everything is running smoothly and as it should, while also treating their workers fairly and giving them an above minimum wage. This upper-class will also search out talented individuals across both Tyra'Weilen and Naboo who paint or write poetry so that they may sponsor these potential artists. Both as a means of enriching local culture and the possibility to make a profit.

GOVERNMENT & ECONOMY
  • Government: Monarchial-Republic of Semi-Sovereign City States. Effectively runs like Naboo's system of government where there is an elected monarch for 4 years who can rule for 2 terms.
  • Affiliation: Considers itself a Colony of Naboo, but independent in all other matters.
  • Wealth: High
  • Stability: High
  • Freedom & Oppression: Freedom is paramount to Tyra'Weilen society.
MILITARY & TECHNOLOGY
  • Military:
The military of Tyra'Weilen has served a mostly ceremonial role for the colony's existence. Military Parades, Guards at government buildings that are mostly glorified policemen, and etc. The most military action most militiamen or militiawomen will experience is the occasional war-game between city-states for practice, the hunting down of some bandits, or the extermination of a nest of particularly nasty carnivores that the local farmers can't handle.

The military is composed of local militias from each city-state numbering around 15% of the cities population, which is roughly a few hundred thousand men and women per city-state. These militias are divided into three branches, the Infantry, Calvary, and Mechanized. Infantry makes up most of the forces with armed guardsmen with standardized blasters and ornate uniforms, usually made up of a conscripted pool of commoners. The Calvary are much less standardized and are primarily Aristocratic Officers, all who ride on the back of Kaadu or some local wildlife that has been tamed by that city-state. The Mechanized is by far the smallest group as tanks, walkers, and other vehicles seem too much of a waste of money and too much overkill for the local nuisances.

The only part of the military that is directly controlled by the federal government is the Star Corp. which is far more Meritocratic. Promising young men and women regardless of social standing can apply for training at star-ports across the planet, and once accepted are sent to an academy where they learn all intricacies of flying. This Star Corp. sees far more action than the ground troops, constant training, drills, simulations, and the occasional fending off a pirate raid keep them on their toes and ready for the day that Tyra'Weilen is invaded.

  • Technology: The wealth that comes from the agriculture on Tyra'Weilen goes directly towards purchasing top-grade technology from across the galaxy.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Tyra'Weilen was first colonized three years after the founding of the New Republic. The Queen of Naboo at the time had quite the adventurous spirit, and although she herself could not explore thanks to her duties to Naboo, she sponsored many a cartographer to explore the systems surrounding Naboo. When the reports came back of this beautiful and nearly serene world, she would not hesitate to petition for colonization rights and then begin colonization efforts straight away. She sponsored artists, scientists, and merchants to flock to Tyra'Weilen, a place where new inspiration could be found. Where the scenery was a host to the most gorgeous and massive beasts which could be painted or studied, or be tamed and sold off like cattle. It worked to say the least.

Hordes of scientists and artists flocked to Tyra'Weilen, helping establish the first cities and cementing the art-based culture of Naboo on this new wild world. The Merchants and Aristocracy came after, helping sponsor these artists and scientists while also beginning to exploit the natural wildlife for meats and leathers to be sold en-mass on the galactic market. This exploitation was carefully monitored by the Naboo government, as they did not want the beauty to be disrupted by capitalistic greed or by invasive species out-competing the local wildlife. They were but visitors on this alien world.

It was during this time that the Jedi temple on Tyra'Theed was established by some of Luke Skywalkers students, and although it has shrunk in size since then, it is still a gorgeous piece of architecture and a part of Tyra'Theed the locals are quite proud of.

The Yuuzhan Vong war never did truly effect Tyra'Weilen, but it was the first time their Space Corp. and ground forces were utilized, sent off to help face the truly horrific invaders. It was during this time that many of the jedi left to help face the Yuuzhan Vong, and very few returned. Thus leaving the jedi temple on Tyra'Weilen mostly abandoned and to never regain it's full strength.

Since then, Tyra'Weilen has mostly stayed out of galactic afairs. And it was lucky enough to be spared from the Gulag Plague. Thus, it simply continues on with tradition hoping to regain some of the glories of its past as a tourist attraction and home to a Jedi order.

[member="Eldrytch"] hi, I'll be taking over judging for this phase of it as the previous judge is unavailable. Most of this looks pretty solid, however this section here:

The Naboo are the native people of the planet Naboo, but species-wise, they're Humans. While the people who settled Tyra'Weilen were Naboo, they should be referred to in these sections as either Humans or Tyriens.

I meant the planet's planetary government which is a republic, I just added that for more clarification though as I can see how it'd be confusing!

Hello there,

This is quite an interesting sub. It looks alright under initial review. I just need you to go back and spoiler your images, and provide links for all Canon locations and species mentioned for easy reference.
