STRENGTHS
- Powerful: The Type 74 is a specialized rifle with incredible power, capable of doing a lot of damage across its different firing modes.
- Modular: With numerous removable panels and mounting points, the Type 74 can accept a number of attachments, including an under-barrel grenade launcher and a suppressor.
- Targeting: With a HUD linkage, integrated targeting computer, and a display on the back of the rifle, it is a very accurate and efficient weapon.
- Silent: The weapon has an integrated setting which serves to dim the brightness of the bolts and muffle its sound when firing, helping the rifle to keep a low profile.
WEAKNESSES
- Stealth: The rifle can only be used in its stealth setting when set to semi-auto and in its normal blaster configuration.
- Ammunition: The ammunition capacity of the rifle is rather low, causing the weapon to burn through cells at an alarming rate
- Numbers: The weapon is heavily restricted to only certain forces within Hex Incorporated and heavily regulated in its sales.
- Sights: Primarily designed to utilize the HUD connection, scope and targeting computer, the Type 60 doesn’t have any standard backup sights.
DESCRIPTION
After several situations where covert operations and stealth was needed, the standard Type 60 rifle of the Hellion Private Military fell short tremendously, lacking in the range, stealth and firepower needed.
Along with a specialized armour and more covert pistol, a new rifle was designed in the first wave of replacements to outfit its more elite units in the Hellion Military, as well as a few select other groups both within and outside of the company.
