STRENGTHS
  • Powerful: The launcher is capable of firing powerful ordnance at an incredible range.
  • Versatile: Designed to fire both missiles and rockets, simultaneously if needed, the launcher can accommodate virtually any type of missile or rocket.
  • Targeting: The integrated HUD and fire control system allows the user to lock on and fire without needing to guide the missiles manually for very accurate shooting.
  • Ammo: The launcher houses two separate tubes in a rotating receiver, allowing it to fire two rockets or missiles before needing to reload.

WEAKNESSES
  • Bulky: While lighter and smaller than most other launchers, the Type 62 has a very bulky design, making it awkward to manipulate.
  • Reload: The two barrels can quickly rotate and fire, but reloading both barrels reduces the overall firing rate significantly.
  • Recoil: Despite having proper backblast and a gyr-gimbal to help keep it stable, the launcher tends to still lurch and kick, potentially interfering with some missiles and dumb-fire munitions such as rockets.
  • Contingencies: If the main computer and scope is compromised, the usability of the launcher is drastically limited to simple rockets and unguided munitions without a proper backup optic.

DESCRIPTION
Quickly realizing the need for more powerful weapons, Hex Incorporated started with numerous projects to better equip its Hellion Private Military to expand the army’s capabilities. One of the project results was the Type 62 missile launcher.

With versatile ordnance and powerful damage potential, it quickly became a popular weapon to mount on vehicles and use on the ground against targets deemed too problematic for simple small arms to dispose of.
