STRENGTHS
- Multi-purpose: The Type 61 repeater is designed to fill various roles.
- Powerful: With a high damage output and controllable rate of fire, the weapon is incredibly powerful.
- Targeting: With a HUD linkage, integrated targeting computer, and a display on the back of the repeater, it is a very accurate and efficient weapon.
- Ammo: When linked up to a power generator, the weapon can theoretically never run out of ammunition.
WEAKNESSES
- Recoil: The Type 61 has a lot of recoil, especially when firing automatic, making it difficult to stay on target reliably
- Ammunition: When using power cells, the repeater might fly through ammunition at an alarming rate.
- Bulk: While ergonomic, the repeater is big and heavy, making it difficult to move around.
- Recoil: Despite the slower rate of fire and weight, the weapon still falters under high recoil.
DESCRIPTION
Designed as a weapon to be used either by foot soldiers or mounted onto vehicles, the Type 61 repeater is perfect for any army looking for a cheap and easy means of heavy firepower on the go. The repeater made a name for itself in the horrid terrain of Nimban, where it was commonly mounted on the back of speeder trucks for a fast and lethal package.
The weapon does have its drawbacks, though. With a heavy design and limited ammunition capacity in its portable power cells, it isn’t always ideal for troops to carry around on foot.
