STANDARD FEATURES
  • The Turbulent-class is outfitted with all the features and facilities one would expect from a vessel of its size and purpose, among these:
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • The Turbulent-class is outfitted with a SLAM Drive designed to provide the bursts of acceleration needed for pursuit and ramming scenarios, at the expense of manoeuvrability and weapon power; combined with its Vanguard-built Microdrive, this makes the pocket star destroyer supremely well-qualified to get right up in the enemy's face and smash it in.
STRENGTHS
  • Budgetary Restraint: Cheap materials, a general lack of fancy features, and low crew requirements; an accountant's wet dream.
  • Plain Practicality: The Turbulent-class is neither pretty nor graceful, but it can dish out serious punishment and take it in turn.
WEAKNESSES
  • Blunt Instrument: These vessels are built to get in the enemy's face and smash it in, not fancy flying or long-range engagements.
  • Full Speed Ahead: The Turbulent-class has few rear-facing weapons and prominent engines; better keep the bow towards the enemy.
DESCRIPTION
In sharp contrast to the ever more high-tech vessels fielded by most well-funded militaries, the Turbulent-class is a strange mixture of low-end and advanced, all to bring down expenses without unduly compromising field effectiveness; mind-machine interfaces are (normally) used to limit organic crew requirements alongside swarms of droids, and its Microdrive was seemingly only included to "get up close and starting shooting".

Utterly graceless though it may be, it remains undeniably effective in close-quarters combat and reasonably priced.
