Private Troublesome Pranks and Wholesome Friendships [The Troublesomes]

Blue was a good color, and all the shades between.

Turquoise was better, but black to turquoise is a hard thing to do in just one shower.

Tabitha ran through the halls of Adara Raxis Adara Raxis 's royal residence on Vena, trying to keep her laughter under control and not drop the bottles of bleach and blue hair dye as Fred Gred Fred Gred chased her through the halls.

"TABITHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"

"I think it looks good!"

As Fred chased her through the halls, Tabitha couldn't help but wonder how Amma Dib Amma Dib would think of Fred's new do...

"TABITHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"

To say Fred wasn't too happy with his friend right now was an understatement. He was chasing her, in shorts and a t-shirt, without his left arm, and, the kicker, his hair was blue! Blue! Tabitha had put dyed in his shampoo and turned his hair blue! Right now he felt like throwing her in a rancor pit. He really didn't want anyone to see him like this, but Amma was the first one that came to mind.

Still, he was more focused on getting back at his friend for this dye prank. "When I get you you're gonna be sorry!"

Twas a brilliant sunny day on the feminist monarchic planet of Vena. The raptor-swans were chirping, and a chorus of mushrooms practiced a musical number for the equinox festival a few measly weeks away. All was perfect in the realm of the Arch-Duchess Adara Vigdis Nussyn Fitz-Kierke Raxis. And being back from her trips abroad, the Arch-Duchess spent the night and early morning hours acquainting herself with the business of her monarchy, business which had the teenaged girl on her third cup of bracing tea.

The dainty Arch-Duchess was at this early hour on her throne draped in a pink empire waisted light gown, with prim cap sleeves and her hair in a simple braid under the circlet of her authority. She struggled down a yawn, as a farmer Berthe and a butcher Candice nattered on back and forth about various co-operative farming structures and the useage of a spit of land no wider than one of Tuuli Miles Tuuli Miles ’ shuttles.

“Grain!”
“Meat!”
“Grain!”
“Meat!”
“GRAIN!”
“MEAT!”

“Ladies!” Adara barked, using the term loosely. “Settle yourselves. Goodness gracious me, no one can plant grain on a hillock. Nor will the livestock find it particularly desirable. Candice, you may allow your herd to graze the palace lawns… but not the herbal flower beds or the vegetable gardens. And Berthe, for all our sakes, plant some orchard trees or such on those hills! What good is bread without jam?

The idea is to maintain our self-sufficiency, not prattle on like…”

”TABITHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!”

“… oh drat.” Adara’s lip quivered. The resounding echo of Fred Gred Fred Gred and Tabitha Solus Tabitha Solus ‘ fiasco slammed across stone walls of the castle structure, and settled on the ears of all at this early morning session of Court. “…. recess?”

Adara rose primly from her throne, and took the hand of one of her honour guard to descend the small steps. She walked down the middle, women on either side giving deference as the whispers grew.

“Shall we reconvene after breakfast, everyone? Thank you.” Adara gave her most official wave, and exited the throne room for the hall. From there, Adara booked it, full on down the hall toward the sounds of Tabitha and Fred.

“Alright, Stabby, what did you d-ooohoohoohoohoohoo!!! Oh your hair!!” Adara snorted out a giggle, covering her mouth with both hands.

All in all, Amma had to begrudgingly admit one thing. Adara’s castle was pretty cool. Built hundreds of years before Adara was born, the structure gave Amma enough architecture to investigate, when she was up at night and hadn’t quite managed to sleep on such a comfy bed.

What if she dreamt of something terrible and lit it on fire? So, what was a teenaged Dib to do? Knock in her brother’s adjoining room door and with pillow and blanket in hand, sleep on the couch in his room instead. RhaeRhae wouldn’t let her burn down Adara’s castle…

… or would he… well, this once, Amma trusted her brother.

That trust landed her this fine morning curled up not on the sofa, but in the bed, while RhaeRhae snored from the couch. Amma stretched and smacked her lips, the mop of raven curls going to and fro along her head and shoulders. Rhae Rhae was a true gooder when he wasn’t trying so hard to be cool. Ready to flop back and check her comm for the usual prompt good morning sparky message from her father, and ensure that he had the right nutritional guide for the breakfast he would of course make himself and mother back home, Amma instead heard the yell of Fredgred as he skittered down the hall.

“Fred? FRED!?” Amma leapt out of bed without a care to the fact all she wore were loose boxer shorts and a floppy sweater, and rushed out of the room as a hail of green sparks popped and peppered to life behind her.

“Woa! Stabby! Where’s the..” Amma darted against the hallway wall as Tabitha Solus Tabitha Solus went rocketing past. Glancing back at the teen, Amma missed Fred rushing after Stabby, until…

“OOOF!” Round the corner he went! And boom! Amma collided with Fred Gred Fred Gred and toppled to the ground in a scatter of (one less) limbs.

“… ow. What’s your damage, Fredgred?” Amma groaned, plucking herself off the ground and offering Fred a hand. She stopped. Blinked… turned her head this way and that as she peered at Fredgred’s noggin.

“…….. blue.” Amma’s lips pursed in the faintest expression of a slight upturn. “Cool. Favourite colour. Didn’t know you were that brave, Fredgred… it.. I… I mean you’re brave, but not like… hair brave, you’re like, Mando pew pew brave but…”

Turning a bright shade of red in her cheeks, Amma grumbled as a series of tiny harmless green sparks peppered out of her hair.

“Looks… cool.”

Planet of vena

Home of her bestest best friend, adara raxis. A lovely planet that was like her mothers planet imahalyan she enjoyed how familiar it was then again she felt at home knowing her cousin was in controlled of the planet meant it was much MUCH more safer then any other planet.

Event better was brigh always, always, always brought a single shipment of raw goods as a gift to adara. Arriving at her usual spot she departed to be escorted to the monarch adara, on her way she heard yelling and blinked...then the words reached her ears and she smirked as she started at a jog...only to get a sight of Fred Gred Fred Gred with blue hair. Brigh snickered then busted out laughing leaning against a wall

Fred was boiling. He was going to get Tabitha, and when he did...

WHAM!

The young Mando had just run smack dab into Amma, and had sent both of them tumbling to the ground. Osik! Not only was his hair blue, but now he'd run her over, and she'd see it! Fred got a bit nervous as he took Amma's hand. It would have been tricky to get up without help, so he was thankful for that at least. Then Amma... complimented him. Fred couldn't help but blush as he finally spoke up.

"Y-you really thing it looks cool?" He smiled a bit, not even realizing he was still holding Amma's hand when he noticed the sparks from her hair. "That sparking kinda looks cool too." Getting revenge on Tabatha was still in the back of his mind, but teen awkwardness was winning out right now.

“Y-yeah, it’s .... wow. You were... really brave.” Amma reached for a bit of hair in front of Fred’s eyes and tugged it back on his head, a light smirk on her face. “Blue’s an awesome colour, it brings out your eyes.”

Adara slapped Brigh’s shoulder with a giggle, covering her mouth. Oh gooses! Stabby did it... she might’ve actually did it!

“Not that your eyes are... or any... and... sp-arks?” Amma blinked and shook her head. A shower of green pixie like sparks sprayed around the two. “YIPES!!”

Skittering behind Fredgred’s armless shoulder, Amma hugged her arms around his neck.

“Don’t blow up! Don’t blow up! Don’t blow.. up... I... we aren’t...” The sparks frizzed in happy sprays, shifting into rhythmic motions which mimicked Amma’s quickening heartbeat. “We’re alright!”

A bright grin dressed Amma’s tanned skin, her naturally chaotic powers dancing around them. “I didn’t light something on fire, and your hair looks cool and... eee!”

Arms still around Fred’s neck, Amma gave a big smacking kiss on his cheek.

“I love Vena!” It didn’t occur to Amma that her lips met Fred’s cheek, or that she’d hugged him until after she shifted away and peered back down the hall after Stabitha. “You... were.. mad at Stabs for something? Wanna join forces, or... or.... oh.... ohhhh myyyyy gooooosh.”

She... she kissed his cheek! Amma kissed Fredgred’s cheek, and her sparks didn’t start a fire! Her cheeks went bright red, more sparks bubbling out from her fingers and curls. Her toes dug at the carpet, hands digging into her hair to try and shake the sparks out.

“Aaaaahhh.... Amma’s not here right now, I... she’s dying of... aaaahh.... dang it Stabby!!”

Tabitha turned the closest corner she could find, and cautiously looked back, just peeking around it, when she heard Amma Dib Amma Dib yell. She watched curiously as she and Fred Gred Fred Gred talked, and grinned when it seemed those two love birds got involved in their own world. She grinned excitedly when Amma kissed Fred's cheek, and whistled quietly.

Wasn't the way she thought those two would start a romance, and definitely not her intention with the hair dye buuuuuuuuuut...

It works!

"Oop. Better go."

Hearing Amma curse her name let Tabitha know she had stayed too long in that spot, and she dashed off through the halls once more.

Fred was honestly a bit shocked at Amma's surprise at her own abilities. Even to the point of running behind him and hugging his neck. She started repeating "Don't blow up," and soon they would both see the sparks didn't blow up, but put on a beautiful display. She got excited that they were ok, and all Fred could say was "That's... that's really cool."

It was then that.... She kissed him. Amma kissed him on the cheek. Fred blushed a lot as he realized it. It seemed Amma was just as surprised as he was, as both seemed to almost shut down a bit. She did offer to help him get back at Stabby though, and Fred gave a nod. "Yeah.... Yeah.... That'd be... great. I just need to... get my arm.... And we need to think of something." He watched with a nervous smile as more sparks fell from Amma's hair, and she nervously spoke about... not being there, and seeming ready to get Tabitha.

"If it make's you feel better, I'm loving Vena too." And with another nervous smiled, he offered for her to go ahead so they could plan, and he could get his arm and Eya.

“Normally I light at least one thing on fire!” Amma hopped on her tip toes, arms staying around Fred Gred Fred Gred 's neck a bit longer than maybe she ought. "You think... Me potentially destroying Adara's palace is........ Cool? You're a strange one, Fred. A likeable strange."

He seemed... Stunned. Not the good kind of stunned, but a horrified, terrified, grossed out sort of never see her again in a million jillion kajillion years sort of...

Fredgred's smile broke the doubt which sparked across her hair, and into the air around her. Tiny sparks congealing into miniature explosive charged in showers of firework-light. A single spark landed on a tapestry, burning a small hole in the dazzlingly colourful fabric. Amma skittered back toward the boy.

"Yeah, something... That she won't kill us for doing.... Or..." The only boy who broke through Amma's fastidious belief that calm and order and steadiness would bring her safely through the day. "... Stuff."

A loud snort made her aware that Adara and Brigh Solus Skirae Brigh Solus Skirae were both there, not far off down the hall. Amma's face turned a bright shade of caramel as she buried her face in her hair.

"Ven-vena is... Almost as awesome as you." Amma scampered in the direction Fred nodded, off toward his room, where his droid and the prosthetic arm lied in wait.

"AAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! AMMA AND FRED ARE SO CUTE!" Adara's voice chased Amma down the hall, and the young Dib just kept running, all the way until she slapped her back against Fred's room's wall. Breath heaving. Little heart-sparks growing out of her fluffy, curly hair.

"So... Ah... We ah... You probably hated th-... um... That... Happened. Do we pretend it didn't happen, or..."

Fred gave Amma a surprised look when she said he was a "Likeable strange." He gave a nervous chuckle before looking back at Amma, asking "You really think it's likeable?" He almost couldn't believe it. Then she noted that they needed to think of something that wouldn't get them killed by Tabitha. She also said that Vena was almost as awesome as... him! Fred blushed a little more as they finally got to his room. Eya looked at the pair, whistle something to her... we Gred's never really acted like masters to droids, so friend... now had blue hair. He looked at her, sighing.

"No need to worry about it Eya. Me and Amma are about to get Stabitha back for some...." He then heard his friend asking if they should just forget about what just happened. He looked at her, thinking for a moment as he started to mount his arm to the shoulder socket. He... could he....

"Honestly.... I... I don't... want... to... forget." He got a nervous look, not sure what Amma would say, at least until Eya began playing some music. He looked down at the little droid, who spun and whirled back to a desk. Fred chuckled a little, hoping maybe that would make things less awkward. After whatever Amma answered though, Fred started thinking about getting back at Stabby.

"So.... Pranking Tabby. I've got a... sorta idea. I've got this stuff for when I can’t weld something." He then pulled out a silver bulb, like a sort of detonator, with an sealed spout. He also pulled out a vial. “And the solvent. We can use that glue to stick her to a chair or something..... Yeah I’m not that creative with it.”

“Ah, yeeaaaah. You’re a pilot engineering guy who has a sense of humour and can survive battle without dying.” Amma snorted quietly, shaking her head. “Your inner and outer nerd is likeable... to me at least. And I’m some magic throwback emotion-allergic monster girl.”

There she was, in her pj’s in a room with a boy. Not only a boy. Fred. Frederick Gred. The. Boy. Good thing Rhae-Rhae was still sawing logs on the couch in her room.

“You don’t?” Amma’s head snapped up, the music in the room hitting her ears like one of those holo-films Rhae-Rhae watched in secret. Hair frizzed on top of her head, contaminating her vision as she casually tried to watch Fred Gred Fred Gred put on his prosthetic.

He shouldn’t have had to, he should have had both arms. But, well. Amma knew how cruel the galaxy was to Mandalorians.

“I didn’t wanna forget it either.” She dug into his bag, grabbed a zipper sweater and tossed it over her tank top, then dug in for a pair of Fred’s socks. They swept up to her knees, and she sat on his bed, refusing to ask permission. Asking?

Pfft. That was something Adara would do.

One knee at a time came up to the bed, Amma’s arms hugging around them in Fred’s sweater. It sloped off one shoulder, and she let it. Ducked her chin on her knees.

“She couldn’t stab us, that way........... what if... what’s the weight yield on that glue? If we, say, mounted the chair somewhere? Like... a wall?” Amma’s smirk grew, hidden behind the mass of curls she used to hide her awkwardly pretty face. Bringing up the hood on his sweater, Amma tried to shove it on top of her curls. It smelled like engine grease, soap and boy.

Like Fred.

Fred smiled at Amma, chuckling a little. “The other things may be true, but I don’t think monster describes you.” He was then happily surprised by something else. Though Eya being... Eya, he heard Amma say that she didn’t want to forget the kiss either, and her surprise that he didn’t want to forget. So... neither wanted to forget. They both wanted to remember. The girl he liked wanted to remember their kiss. To say Fred was happy to hear that would be an understatement.

He also watched as Amma got dressed in one of his sweaters and some socks. She didn’t ask, but he didn’t mind. In fact, it made him go a little red thinking about it. She did look nice in them. He smiled again, chuckling. “Looking good.”

The girls he liked then asked him a pretty devious question about the glue’s strength, and the idea she had in mind made Fred chuckle.

“Pretty sure Aries said he tested this stuff with a speeder bike and a winch. So... I’m guessing a lot.” He then lifted his hand for a high five. “And I think we have a plan.”

Wandering around a castle alone should never be a good thing, but when that very castle was owned by in all technicalities your sister (Taru is the adopted one for all ya dikuts who wonder how a zabrak and human can be brother and sister), well then you have to make things interesting.
It was total chaos everywhere except in the main courtroom cause Adara needed that place clean so that she could do her ruling things. Tough luck on her part for getting the job in the first place thought Taru, realizing that he actually did not know how Adara came to have this planet as her own.

But back to the chaos. It was a PRANK WAR! Wishing that he had thought up the idea in the first place, Taru had set up a couple of harmless traps around hoping to have either Rhaegar or Tabitha run into them and come out all wet and covered in mud, cause Adara would flip for sure if she saw them tracking around the mud which he had piled up in the first place. Well, maybe she'd yell at him first. Nah she definitely would...

Taru scampered off towards the screams of rage that could be heard all throughout the palace, wincing slightly once he heard what had been done to whom because if someone had dyed his horns some random color he would most definitely have tried to kill them.

Tabitha ran through the halls, keeping an eye out for Amma Dib Amma Dib and Fred Gred Fred Gred that were surely coming up with a plan to get back at her. She was so focused in fact, that she failed her perception check, and tripped a wire on a trap Taru Cadera Taru Cadera had set up. Realizing she was about to fall, Tabitha shifted into a roll, but rolled right where the mud would land, and got drenched in it.

As the cold mud seeped through her clothes, and dripped from her hair, Tabitha kept her head down so nothing would get in her eyes.

Adara was gonna kill her if she tracked this further than the nearest bathroom, and then Adara Raxis Adara Raxis would probably do her baby Sith thing and find someway to bring Tabitha back to life, just to kill her again! Turning her head slowly, Tabitha tried to figure out where she was in the palace, and from there she'd figure out where the nearest shower was.
