Trouble Over Tarhassan [SJO Dominion of Hex Z-31]

Simona Campos

Guest
Location: RV Point 1, Deep Space, Harron Sector
Objective: Base Building (BYOO)

It was chaos at Aurora Base, but fortunately, Simona's contacts had made pledges of support. Most surprising to her was the appearance of the Siel Manta. So she had made a good impression on their leadership, wherever they were. (Could be a janitor on her sip right now!)

More data was flooding in from base and ships on the scene, identifying the threat as likely being Menacers - thousands of them - a new kind of Sithspawn that been created especially for EVA operations. It had been a while, but it seemed like the Sith were making heavy use of bioweapons once more.

"Thank you all for your support," she replied to everyone at once on a shared encrypted line. "New data is coming in from other vessels on the scene. The Sithspawn are attacking everything in sight and we've already lost five ships to them. Our other cap ships made a tactical retreat out of the asteroid field, but now Aurora base itself is under siege."

She passed them a few files from Rebel's database. "All signs point to a Menacer swarm attacking Aurora. For all those not familiar, they're nasty buggers. They spew acid that can eat through starship hulls in seconds, they're fast as fighters, they feature a tough hide that can withstand most forms point defenses long enough for them to get on target. However, they are useless without the tentacles they used for guidance, and their own acid will eat through them. My recommendation is to join the other Rebel ships and keep at range while trying to corral them for concentrated attacks. Flak guns and flechette missiles have been shown to work best against them, but any kind of weapon with a large blast radius will do at this point."

"Datalinks have been established between us and the Rebel forces and us if you choose to accept. You'll see what they will so you won't be taken by surprise. We to get in there ASAP and relieve Aurora, but not axe our own ships in the process. Coordinates to Aurora have been transmitted - move out at your discretion."

She turned her focus to Adele and Drystan. "The carrier has to stay here to guide in any other people that may have been coming in, so we'll be taking the X-wings. Let's get to it."

Objective: BYOO (Base Building)

Adele listened and tracked what was going on from the other ships. Sithspawn were attacking and that meant there had to be something more out there along with them. She kept a neutral expression, there was no need for her to show her dislike of the sithspawn, it was a shared feeling from the group. Simona linked them together, letting them all in on what was occuring. Aurora was still being establish for the most part - this could devastate the Rebels.

Once orders were received, attention was put on her by the Major. Looking over at the woman, she nodded. “Music to my ears, Simona.” The Corellian stood and dusted herself off, she made her way towards the hanger and to the X-Wings. It didn’t take long for the woman to find her machine. She patted it down on the side as if to wake it from its slumber.

Climbing in, the tech smiled at her and handed her the helmet. Such a difference between her experiences with techs and mechanics, but Adele smiled back and began to flip her comms open and receiving the links provided by Simona. The X-Wing came to life and Adele guided it, preparing to launch.

“Azure 2, locked in and awaiting take off.” She was waved down by the men with the flags and the happy Corellian piloted X-Wing shot forward. She hung out waiting for the others to tag in and she could fall into formation.

"Azure 2, Azure 4. I'm circling back around the cruiser and I'll join you from below. Taking your starboard."

Drystan released the transmit key and peeled to the left, angling her x-wing to fly parallel to- then below the large cruiser. Her engines flared like twin sunbursts and the agile fighter responded immediately to her practiced hand. Within moments, Azure 4 had joined up with Allyson and the two of them formed the beginnings of a Wing.

She would continue to wait to her from her companions, and would take part in whatever attack plan they devised.

OBJECTIVE: BYOO

Tancred sat up in his seat at the mention of Sithspawn; he had known of their malevolently destructive presence in the Battle of Mirial, yet he had felt confident enough to adjust a strategy around such mindless barbarism. An old friend told a tale of multiple Mirialan soldiers surrounding one, having utilized it's capacity to chase any offered-bait into the defender's trap of choice. On this said occasion, the trap was an ambush of pulse and bayonet.

One Sithspawn, or a few, would prove useless on a battlefield of Mirialan choice, yet the corrosive, acidic hazards would remain present throughout this operation. Tancred's mentor had told of their nasty acid burns, suffered from survivors of those that had been annihilated by such creatures.

"Orders received, Ma'am...."

Tancred loudly whistled to his Lieutenant (also his own chief-of-communications) then rotated his index-finger in plain sight, to wrap up the decrypted call and vector another to the inbound personnel-carriers. A report to Narses' staff would then need to be made shortly after Tancred's infantry redirection, which would officially-affirm their operational commencement.

<<<Patching you in to the carriers, sir.....>>>
<<<To all of them, Lieutenant?>>>
<<<Yup, all of 'em, sir! Signal's strong, too....>>>

<<<33rd Battalion; redirect your carriers to the Aurora Base! We'll guard your approach with the M.M.S Shahanshah, and scramble fighter-squadrons to sweep and reconnoitre the approaches to the landing-grounds! Objectives, coordinates, and mission parameters are being sent as we speak! Ready yourselves!>>>
<<<And a New Dawn Shall Rise, sir!>>>

With the carriers' connection severed until landing, one last set of orders were to be issued before reporting back to the staff on Narses' ship, most likely to be Captain Sadri (Narses' own chief-of-communications). Tancred then loudly whistled again to his Lieutenant, silently (yet animatedly) bidding him open a link with the ship guarding Tancred's topside, pointing up above his own head, towards the hulking form of the M.M.S Shahansha.

<<<You want to test the Black-Cats, sir?>>>
<<<Better now than never... They can dogfight, and offer high-quality surveillance; that is, if they get enough breathing-space! Our men on the ground need them more than we ever would, up here!>>>
<<<Yes, sir! Comm-link is open!>>>

<<<Captain Tancred, do you have orders for us?>>>
<<<We need you to guard the personnel-carriers' approach to the gravitational pull, and offer as much firepower-defense as your cannons can give! You will then be needed to link back up with the rest of the cruisers, for our dogfight above! Understood?>>>
<<<Yes, Captain Tancred... Anything else?>>>
<<<Send the Black-Cats to sweep and guard the landing-grounds; secondary-objectives are to get decent reconnaissance-images of what the 33rd Battalion could be facing, down there! Can they manage this?>>>
<<<Yes, I'm sure they can!>>>

The King of Ergonomic Assessments
Objective 3: BYOO (performance of ergonomic assessments)
Location: Dandahass

"We're going to get expropriated, we're going to make the local authorities pay for this expropriation!" the boss joked. "On a serious note, about 250 stations"

"Which means you're getting the bulk discount"

People that waited until they had to be handed court orders to have ergonomic assessments performed often fail to realize that they can be eligible for group, bulk and wholesale discounts, in ascending order, and the level of volume discount available is the logarithm, in base 10, of the number of work stations being assessed, rounded down. And with volume discounts come various levels of payments on account as well. Since Tabder's Radiation Launchers were forced to get ergonomic assessments on a bulk basis, they were getting 3/20, n/90 for payment terms. Meanwhile, Tiffany was out assessing the other work stations, away from the ammunition assembly line. The Jawa was busy informing the manager of all the implications of billing the ergonomic assessments the courts ordered him to take. And, somehow, since the Jawa had no idea that the earlier suggestion of the manager was a joke, maybe the dishonest manager would be on board for having the local authorities on the hook for the console to make them look they are complying with the court order.

"Just order the console, and let the local authorities deal with it"

When it raines... it pours.
Objective #2
Nehass streets, helping to evacuate
sjheaderpurple.png

"Hmm," [member="Finley Dawson"] started, looking into the front of the truck to find her wire job. "The good doctor is quite full of surprises."

"Indeed I am... when the need arises," Sam nodded back with a small grin gracing her features.

Samara's sea green orbs followed the other Knight's down to the man, then back up to him as he spoke. "Since we don't have cot to roll him on, we can lift him inside together with TK (telekinesis). Is there anything soft inside we can rest him against?"

"Sergent, would you mind getting the lady seated as we move him?"

"There is a towel in the cab of the truck. We can place his head on that. Per my med-scanner there were no bleeds noted just a concussion, but will still need to monitor for any neuro changes as we transport him. The air cast I applied should be sufficient to stabilize the break until we get to the first aid station," she said, then quickly grabbed the towel and folded it over before putting it in the truck bed along with her medkit.

Stepping back over to the patient, the healer gave the injured man a reassuring smile and patted his arm, sending a wave of calm and feel good vibes through the Force to alleviate any anxiety and/or pain. "My fellow Jedi and I are going to lift you up into the back of the truck using the Force. Do not be scared, just relax. We won't hurt you, I promise."

In the meantime, [member="Roona Osmari"] had gone to retrieve the elderly woman just down the street, bringing her back to the truck.

“Just a moment,” the Sergeant said, indicating that the injured man would be loaded first. Together they stood on the sidewalk, and watched the two Jedi at work.

Outstretching her hands towards the patient palms up, Samara nodded to Finley. "Okay, ready... slowly on three. One, two, three, lift," the blonde called out softly, then using telekinesis she matched her partners efforts for a smooth transition levitating the man's battered body from the ground up into the truck bed, gently putting him down.

// Thanks! We make a good team. // Sam sent telepathically to the Librarian, then she looked over to the waiting Ranger and woman.

"Thank you for your assistance, Sergeant... Perhaps the front passenger seat would be the most comfortable place for your charge there, then Knight Dawson can drive while I ride in the back with my patient. You are more than welcome to join us," the Liann offered kindly, then jumped up into the back to tend further to the injured civilian.

So much going on, so many lives at stake, so little time... In the background, the Jedi Master was moving through the shadows, using Force Speed as he would begin scouting through the streets in search of anyone who might be unable to reach the safe areas in time. While he was doing so, he had begun to focus on Battle Meditation, using it on the people of the planet in order to calm them down, better coordinate them and make them easier to herd and move to safety.

Josh just hoped that it was enough. He hoped that he would be able to save as many people as possible... He honestly wanted to be up there, stopping the ship. In action. But he knew that it was being handled. Here... Here was where he needed to be. He needed to be using his abilities to save lives, in the best way that he could. This was where he belonged.

BATTLE MEDITATION ACTIVE ON CIVILIANS - CALMNESS AND COORDINATION INCREASED.

With the updated reports on the Sithspawn they'd be facing, Errreembuhr changed tactics. He made his way first to the navigational officer, who'd begun to punch in the coordinates of the base to begin plotting a route there.

"Here, stop just short," the Wookiee said to the Tach-series droid at the chair before speaking back into the Rebel channel supplied by his allies [member="Simona Campos"] and [member="Adele Crawford"] . "We'll bring the Shadowclaw out of hyperspace a short distance away from your location and launch our fighters from there. They can hold these creatures at bay along with your X-wings while my cruiser moves to cover the base itself."

Next he put in an order for the hangars. "Replace all concussion missiles on the TIEs with baradium missiles. Synthetic or otherwise, these beings are organic. Baradium explosions will wreak havoc on them."

With his orders relayed Errreembuhr awaited the command to jump to hyperspace, the droid brain controlling plotting finalizing a path for them with a few beeps at the terminal.

Objective: Byoo

That she felt out of place on a troop carrier was an understatement. Private Caya Lumira had never even entered a combat zone prior to recruitment, she was headed straight for one.

<<<If you stay in the back you’ll be fine,>>> a man said to her with a grin that was nearly invisible due to his massive gray beard. He towered over her but for a man of his size, his voice was surprisingly kind. His words were meant to be reassuring but she could not look past the fact that everyone around her was wearing the dark green armour typical of the more organised and well trained elements of the Siel Manta. The young Mirialan soldier was armed with a Valken-38x and a large vibroblade sword given to most members of the organisation. However, she had volunteered so she had to smile back at him.

<<<Thanks, but I think I can keep up with an old geezer like you.>>>

He let out a hearty laughter that was irritatingly infectious. She felt better for it already though that was cut short by her stomach growling. They had given her some grub but she was having some trouble digesting it. She’d been living off ration bars for close to a week and that couldn’t be healthy.

<<<Alright listen up!>>> the battalion leader said, calling for attention. Caya looked to the ramp of the cargo hold and so did the geezer. The ship had several modified speeders parked along the outer walls of the hold – Cayas among them, but there was still plenty of space for the 100-odd troops their unit consisted of. The leader was a tall, rough looking Mirialan commander with tied-up brown hair. Captain Sadri wore segmented body armor with a Dark green camouflage pattern just like everyone else, but on his head was a thick Shemagh with the rank insignia of a Sergeant in the middle of the covering. Most of his kit didn’t fit a single biome and at a glance, Caya might have categorized him as a bounty hunter or a mercenary, but that was unlikely. As the man was waiting for everyone’s private chatter to die down, he glanced across the men and women who he would be commanding; many of whom were battle hardened veterans. When his green eyes reached Caya, she knew that this leader was made of the right stuff. That was reassuring.

“We’re going in hot,” he began. “We’ll be landing at the bay on the east side. The ghouls will be swarming that base and they’re most likely busy looking for an entry point, but we’ll still be going in guns blazing and setting up a defence line for our friends above.”

A nearby detonation rocked the troop carrier but nobody moved an inch. They were paying close attention to their commander and that meant she probably should as well, but she couldn’t help herself staring. They all had severe faces and their equipment bore marks of excessive usage. More than a few had highly customized rifles or headwear and that was enough to convince her that they had to be hardened soldiers – veterans perhaps. Whatever cell these men belonged to, they had a much tougher job than hers.

“All we gotta do is go in, pile the ghouls up high and not let a single one of the fethin b!stards live. Simple in and out mission. Any questions?”

Nobody spoke up.

“Alright, lock and load! We’re going in in five!”

OOC info: Ghouls is an affectionate general nickname given to Sithspawn by Siel Manta soldiers, in particular ones who formerly served in the Mirialan military who had extensive prior experience with the things.

The King of Ergonomic Assessments
Objective 3: BYOO (performance of ergonomic assessments)

"Boss, the lead time for the console is six weeks, and that's the fastest; it's billed FOB destination for what it's worth" the accountant told the manager.

"Good, let the local authorities pay for it, equity or cash, and same goes with the ergonomic assessments"

Utinni: they no longer sound like a business that is expropriated despite their best efforts: they are trying to use the expropriation process to milk the local authorities for their liabilities, he thought, while keeping those thoughts to himself, and issuing the bill for the ergonomic assessments. A last-ditch kick in the ass forced them to have repairs made but just because the leak is repaired, one must ensure that the leak being repaired would then allow safe operation of the radiation launcher ammunition's assembly line again. Because it's not enough to repair a leak: a shoddy repair is often no better than no repair at all in radiation cases. Yet, the ergonomic assessments were mostly complete thanks to the team of assessors that fanned out across the factory to find out whether there are health hazards for the workers.

Tana's search took longer then expected, though eventually the young Jedi cam across another escape pod from the ship, though this one was no as lucky as the last. Said escape pod had plowed into the side of a cliff, the front dented and mangled, the small hint of blood wafting into Tana's nose as he came closer, "uh oh".

Racing closer she could see someone laying near the pod with a hand clutched over his chest, their eyes falling upon the Jedi Padawan with a sense of 'oh thank fuck'. Running closer Tana wasted no time placing his hands against the wound, using the force to slowly heal the laceration, "i'd ask how you are but anyone could see that wound, but where are the others"?

"Knocked out, crash was quite hard, tried to get out but realized I'd been cut when the front caved in, glad you cam along when you did". Sealing up the wound he gave the man a small pat on the back, briefly looking into the escape pod, the other crew members laying in their seats, both breathing but as the first person aid knocked out. "Tharr, Tana here again, got some wounded over on this pod, think you can call in a med evac to my location"?

Tharr was helping the local authorities evacuating the crew of the first pod when he got the call.
Turning to a med team he said:
"We found a new pod, they have wounded, follow me i will get you there."
Just as he finished he got on his speeder and speeded of as soon as the med team was ready.
After awhile they finaly got to the location and the med team immediatly started to work, relifind padawan Yumi from his duty. They both helped get the crew on board the med vessels and watched as they whent to the city.

"Do you think there are more pods, or can we go back to the city? I think they may need help to evacuate the crowd. Or we could get some Silver jedi, but them on the roofs, so that we act like the last defense line. If the freighter gets to the city we can always Force pull it away."

Roona watched as the blonde healer went to work. And once she was prompted, she walked the elderly woman over to the side of the cart. The woman’s knees were stiff, making the step up into the small vehicle rather difficult. Gently, Roona moved to grasp the woman’s waist and gave her a bit of a boost up and into the passenger seat.

Now that the passenger and the patient seemed to be taken care of, Roona took a step back.

“Proceed to the shelter, go straight and,” Roona turned her gaze towards the street ahead. “Follow the crowd.” After all, there was still a rather large flow of people to contend with. However, she had to admit that there was an odd sense of calm that had overtaken the people in the streets – Roona felt it, too.

Nodding a farewell to the healer and librarian, she moved back into the street to bring up the rear.

At the moment, even the stragglers were beginning to catch up.

“Clark – we’ve got a small cart coming your way. There’s injured. Once you’ve reached the shelter, keep an eye out for them.” She warned her fellow Ranger and listened as he gave her a quick ‘affirmative’ to confirm that he’d received her.

Keeping alert, she made her way after the others.

OBJECTIVE: BYOO (Attacking Aurora Base and Joining Dogfight in Orbit)

The objectives were made clear and simple for Captain Sadri's inbound ground-troops, with specific orders to split into five separate 75-man companies as soon as the bay had been reached. This was for five differing large-scale traps to be set for whatever Sithspawn were dumb enough to run into them. Tancred had given them coordinates for five different locations in the eastern-sector of Aurora itself; once the courtyards had been reached safely, Sadri's forces were to make the best use of these bottleneck-or-ambush positions.

Sadri's methods of baiting said-Sithspawn eastward were very likely to differ to Tancred's, so those short-term specifics would be left to Sadri, who would have more insight of the situation from ground-level, much more so than the readings that Tancred would be getting from above. To give even more support, Sadri would be in constant contact with the Black-Cat squadron, giving air-support to comb the ground ahead of the infantry host. If the Black-Cats were to meet any resistance, they were already cleared to shoot-to-kill, despite these combat orders being secondary to the primary reconnaissance-objectives. If the warriors below them knew exactly what they would be fighting, then the 33rd Battalion could adapt accordingly; adjustments could be made before they had even reached their marked locations, so this intelligence sweep of eastern-central Aurora was vital enough to be considered the primary-objective.

Tancred had briefly made his way back to the officer's cabin and given his confirmation of mission-commencement to Siel-Manta High-Command, before brusquely returning to the hive of activity at the bridge. The trade-mark loud whistle for his Lieutenant was still easily heard over the noise, and so the order of attack for the 3 cruisers (those still in battle-formation) was soon to be given. Full-control for his part in the battle to come was fully-cleared and given in good faith, now it was time for Narses' forces to show their worth to the entire galaxy.

<<< What's the Progress report, Lieutenant?>>>
<<<Black-Cat squadron has entered the stratosphere, currently bearing down 200-feet above the APC's and gaining, sir! All-unchallenged as yet, and the same goes for the Shahanshah!>>>
<<<Are they rejoining the formation?>>>

With deft precision, he brought up the enhanced blip for the Shahanshah for Captain Tancred (and his other Lieutenants at the bridge) to see more clearly. Nodding, Tancred allowed his young Lieutenant to continue with his progress report. The Shahanshah was needed up-top, new formations were needed to aid the revel-and-Jedi attack from that left flank, and the one he had in mind would be of great help to those above-and-below their current-positions.

<<<They've just rolled into position, trajectory says they are making towards the rear of the formation. Shall I redirect them, sir?>>>
<<<Yes, I want them leading the formation above, and from our port-side, Lieutenant! Set orders for Ladder-Echelon Formation!>>>
<<<Sir???>>>
<<<We may need to pinpoint our arcs of fire; also, I don't want our ships trading-paint in sight of the ghouls or the other fleets! We can't have that now, can we?>>>

Objective #2
Nehass streets, helping to evacuate

Having been in the middle of a holoprojector conversation down a sidestreet he had missed the initial events during the celebrations at the main street. Sam's calming force powers had also reached him which stalled him a couple of more seconds. Soon, the unusual bustling and the familiar voices of his comrades had reached him and snapped him back into reality, quickly finishing the call and turning back to aid in some sort of distress.

Wearing the battle dress uniform of the Antarian Rangers, along with his own well-worn but sturdy, desert brown tarisian combat boots on his feet and a olive green utility belt around his waist.

He reached the rather unexpectingly calm crowd marching in a slightly hurried but quite orderly manner down the street. Sam's force magic had done the deal, question was for how long...

From the corner of his eye he registered a hover truck following the crowd and closing in on him. He recognised the familiar face of sergeant Osmari by the wheel and took a leap forward when it passed, hurling himself over the railing and landing beside Sam and the injured man. Not expecting them there he looked up at her, slightly surprised for a second.

''Sam?! What's going on?'' he exclaimed before getting to his knees by the injured man. Fortunately, he had brought some med packs in his belt just in case there appeared a bleeding finger or two in the celebrations.

Objective #2
Nehass streets, helping to evacuate
sjheaderpurple.png

A familiar aura surfaced in the sea of people on the streets of Nehass, and it was coming ever closer until the owner of such jumped up into the back of the speeder truck. [member="Tyrell Caphey"]'s presence was a pleasant surprise indeed. The Ranger and Jedi seldom saw each other with so much going on nowadays; each of their duties taking them in opposite directions until now.

"Hello, Corporal Caphey," Sam greeted in a formal sense though with that was included a small smile and a twinkle of delight in her sea green eyes at seeing him again.

A great feeling of serenity was flowing anew on the currents of the Force in and around them. It was much more than what Samara had sent out earlier upon the first call to evacuate. Only a strong Jedi Master could enact such a feat upon the citizenry, who previously had been fleeing in a much more frenzied state before now.

"We are just about to transport this injured man and the elderly woman up front to the shelter. I am glad you're here. Would you mind catching another set of vitals on Mister Davies here for me please?" the blonde asked of Ty sweetly though with a directing tone, then leaned forward and rapped her knuckles softly on the glass that separated the truck bed and cab indicating to [member="Finley Dawson"] they were set to move out.

The Jedi doctor's head turned to look at [member="Roona Osmari"], who was giving instructions while standing at the side of the vehicle.

"We will, Sergeant. Thanks again for your assistance... and the loan of your medic."

The Warfighter
Drez and his fellow Fett clone troopers were stationed in the hangar during the attack from the so called 'Sithspawn.' They've never heard of the creature before, so they obviously figured it was a creature genetically engineered by the Sith, judging by it's name. Reports say, however, that it was a very large and ugly looking creature with tentacles and teeth that is able to spit globules of corrosive material, strong enough to dissolve ships' hulls. It was definitely something they did not want to face.

Kano, the 501st clone, stood near the edge of the hangar, watching the dogfight battle, through macrobinoculars, intensify between the forces and the Sithspawn. "That is one nasty looking creature. Are you seeing this Lieutenant?" Kano asked Drez, shuddering at the appearance of the creature.

"Oh I'm seeing them alright." Drez replied, studying the Sithspawn's shape through his pair of macrobinoculars.

"Well, as long as none of them approach the hangar, we're about as good as it gets." Lex, the 212th clone, chimed in while moving crates around. He was setting up a barricade near the hangar's entrance to the city, along with a couple other clone troopers, just in case something happened to get into the hangar.

At the moment, something crashed into the area right beside the hangar, violently rocking the hangar and causing the troopers to lose their balance. "What the hell was that?" One of the clone troopers asked.

Acid started oozing in through the hangar's ceiling. The hangar itself was starting to give out creeking sounds as the hull started to weaken. Drez walked across the hangar and examined the hole where the acid had dropped from and saw a hideous creature trying to get itself into the hanger through the hole. The troopers watched as the beast tried to squirm itself in, though with little success.

"Ha, they don't seem so smart after all." Lex remarked, though he spoke too soon. The creature came crashing down onto the hangar's floor. The ceiling, however, didn't come crashing down. Instead, it was being sucked into the vacuum of space.

"Oh that mouth of yours!" Shock, the 104th trooper, remarked.

"Run for the door!" Drez yelled. The troopers immediately started sprinting towards the hangar's exit without second thought. However, the hangar's shields deactivated, causing even more air to rush out into space even quicker, sucking almost everything out of the hangar, or what was left of it.

The troopers were immediately thrown backwards and were quickly being sucked out towards the open space. Fortunately for them, with their quick thinking and reaction time, they shot their cables from their rifles, attaching them to the wall. The creature was gone as well, for now at least. The troopers slowly crawled up the cables, still experiencing extreme amount of rushing air, though it decreased as time went on.

Shock made it to the door first, and secured himself behind a ledge before helping the other troopers out of the hangar. When all of them were finally out of the hangar, still hovering in the air, Kano slammed the button, sealing the door shut, causing all the troopers to fall down onto the ground hard, groaning on impact.

Objective 1

Charlie made a little face at Kat, scrunching up her nose and lips – crumbs from her bread still clinging to her face. The Echani woman was much like her Master, except Kat didn’t have the same ‘grace’ Jyoti had. Still, the young Seoulian felt comfortable with the other padawan. Standing with Mr. Locke, Charlie listened to the assessment, which only just gave grave news. Frowning, the girl brushed off the crumbs and sighed.

“If tractor beams aren’t being able to latch on – we might have to board. There has to be something guiding it.” At least she would be of use if they boarded, without a ship Charlie felt a bit useless. Pointing to Kat, Charlie smiled happily. “She’s a mechanic, maybe if you could get us onto the ship we can shut it down. Jyoti taught me how to pilot a bit.”

Hopeful, but it was the only idea she could come up with. Remembering that there had to be others, Charlie quickly asked. "Do we have any one else out there? Any fighters? Other ships? We should contact them and see if they can have anyone else board with Kat and I...at least let us know what we're going up against?"

[member="Kat Decoria"] & [member="John Locke"]

Kat scratched her chin as she thought on the issue. Were the engines on if the tractor beams were not working? Moving too quickly to be caught? It was a puzzle that Kat needed to come up with a solution. "We need to board that ship, I can either switch the engine on and guide the ship away or if they are on like I suspect, switch them off and fix the steering. Has no one thought of ramming the ship off course? If I get the engines off then that could be our best course of action. I am sure there is a safe location to crash outside of the city."

Kat tapped her comms and got in touch with Shorty. "Hey Shorty! Have you got the schematics for the ship that is on course to hit the city? Yes, I need them now, need to find the engine room. I'm going to stop the ship. Yes I can do it without you. Yes I can. Stop. I'm not having this discussion... Pout all you want. There ain't time to pick you up. I have done mechanic stuff long before you were made. They were not worse than now! Take that back! Shorty! Oi! Hmmmm..." Kat growled as she switched her comms off. Droid was getting too cocky for his own good.

Looking at John and Charlie, Kat let out a shy smirk. "He can be tricky to talk with and moody. But I got the blueprints, if Charlie and I head to the engine room, John you can head to the cockpit and check the steering of the ship." Kat nodded her head, that sounded like a plan to her.

He gave Sam a short smile in return to her appreciation of him being there, the situation not admitting a whole lot of small-talk. As always, he was glad to see her face again, though. He knelt down at the side of the injured man and detached the FastFlesh medpac that was attached to his utility belt.

''Yeah... I wasn't about to come along at first, but... Typical coincidence this would happen!'' he said while opening the medpac on the truck bed and begun to attach the diagnosis unit to the mister Davies. ''I'm glad you're here to, Sam.'' he continued and looked up at her, meeting her well known sea green gaze and offered her a slightly larger smile.

He greeted sergeant Osmari and the other jedi knight in the front of the truck with a nod each before checking the small screen on the medpac.

''Seems stable. He'll be alright when we reach the shelter. I'm not carrying much medical supplies, unfortunately. Is there more at the shelter?''
