Trophy Hunt

When she spoke, Jairdain knew she had taken the wrong choice of the many that had been left to her. She threw that barrier up around herself in the time it took Koda to bring his blaster up. He again said she didn't know him and then fired at her.

Not wanting to get caught against him trapped in her home, she cloaked herself. The barrier did its job and kept his shots from reaching her, but then it went away. Reaching out with the Force, she attempted to shove Koda down and run from him.

If he really wanted her dead, Jairdain was not just going to stand there and let him shoot her. Now the knight needed to figure out a way to keep herself hidden from the many sensors he may have in his helmet.

At the moment, she would be invisible to regular vision. Knowing that wasn't all a hunter would have, she was at a loss to what else to do. Moving and running away, even though it was unlikely he would see her with her eyes, she couldn't control her body temperature like she had before. Distance was what she needed right now and that is what she focused on.

Fett had been pushed backwards into the door frame, bouncing off it to see the woman disappear from view, she'd vanished in an instant. No doubt through the use of the force, his vision was quickly cycled into thermal vision through the use of facial expressions. The Knight continued to gain distance on the Bounty Hunter, although he was hell-bent on ridding her from this pitiful galaxy. With the raising of his right arm, and the movement of his left towards his right wrist, an arch of flames protruded out, engulfing the room in fire and hopefully Jairdain if she hadn't gotten too far away. Keeping a keen eye on his sensors, if she kept moving, Koda would pursue.

Her Force shove allowed her the opportunity needed for Jairdain to get out of the house. Sadly Koda decided to set it on fire in his anger at her words. He had torn her first house up, now burned the second. If he didn't think it would upset her, he was mistaken.

Not knowing what all sorts of tricks he had up his sleeve, she knew distance was the most important thing. Free of the house, she could now Dash away. While it used up some of her Force, it wasn't a great strain on her and recovered it quickly. The direction she picked happened to be the same as his ship and then probably her most evil thought entered her mind.

What had happened between them in their previous meeting and the irritation caused to each other was entirely different than now. Before a simple and easy and to clean up mess had been made. Now with the burning of her home, she would take what he prized from him. His ship.

Calling in the Force again, the knight did what she could in the short amount of time she had. Briefly coming out of hiding to focus on his ship, she did two things to it. The first was fire off a couple of zaps at the ramp entrance. If they connected like she intended them to, the ship would be sealed. The second thing she did was attempt to agitate the air molecules within the engine area of the ship. If any of the sparks caused by this worked, then that ship would go up in a ball of flame.

Disappearing once again into the Force, Jairdain slowed down to allow her Force to regenerate. Attempting to slow the beat of her heart down, she hoped it was enough to keep her off his sensors.

The Bounty Hunter chased her outside, though she was a considerable distance ahead of him. At the sight of her getting into his ship his blood boiled, she was as good as dead now, and Jairdain most likely knew of this. With the activation of his jetpack he soared towards his vessel, the only real thing he had left in this galaxy. The trophies were of worth, but this ship, this was his everything. With the door sealed he landed with a thud at it's entrance, mag-locking his boots in that instance it began to come off of the ground and sail up into space itself. In his attempt to open the door, he found it was sealed, though quick-thinking excelled at this moment. The reaching down to his ankle pocket proved fruitful, snatching at a skeleton key that would cause the sealed door to open wide.

Fett barged in, and luckily for him, nothing was set off - otherwise he and Jairdain would be dead - with carbine in hand he kept a keen eye on motion sensors, advancing cautiously into the ship, ready to fire at any second. He may have looked like a man with a gun, but his skills in hand-to-hand combat were undisputed. If it came to it, he was more than ready to take on this Knight in such a manner.

Letting out a silent curse as the door opened easily, Jairdain remained totally motionless. Her heart slowed down along with her breathing. If needed the knight could go into a form of hibernation trance, but in doing that she would very likely become visible to him. For now, she would stay where she was and deal with Koda if he found her.

Her hiding spot was not great, but it wasn't in the first area or the holding room she had been in before. Taking a seat out of the way, Jairdain wondered two things. How long would it take for him to find her? How long would it take for him to calm down from her words?

She didn't move. Her heart slowed. The thermal signature remained. He kept wandering about, his helmet pivoting to look in every nook and cranny he could spot. She was here, there was no doubt in Fett's mind, but where, that was the issue. He didn't know, he couldn't find her. Until, well, until he did.

"Don't bother running." He commented after picking up her signature, "I'll just gun you down." He was angry, yet he didn't come across it through his voice. "The Sith always pay a nice price for any Jedi, as does the Galactic Empire, which one do you prefer..." Fett finalised, he was sinister, cold and angry. The thermal signature inside his peripheral, but it didn't seem as if he was looking at her or even found her for that matter.

Hearing his words and not responding, Jairdain knew he was attempting to bait her out. She had spent time with the Sith, however the Empire was unknown to her. No dealings with them, whatever her answer when Koda did find her wouldn't matter. She would be captive yet again and this time there may be no escape for her. A slight furrow of her brows was the only motion on her body.

He had called her a Jedi again and she wasn't one. Obviously that detail had been missed in their conversation.

When he started speaking, there was no anger through his modulator, however what she saw through the Force was something else entirely. It would only take time now before he found her, but Jairdain kept still and didn't move.

He did try to bait her out, maybe he didn't want to shoot her, maybe he was having fun with having someone else's life in his hands. He wasn't sure, but the lack of response only agitated him. Her thermal signature exited his peripheral, entering his primary gaze. Slowly the Carbine was raised and aimed towards her, "Thought you were smarter than to simply hide." He claimed, squeezing the trigger, but instead of the typical three shot barrage, it was a blue ring, a stun shot that encircled her position.

Like cat and mouse, this could have gone on for hours, but Koda was good at what he did. It was a his job and he found the knight after a quick search of the rooms near where they had entered. Jairdain knew she had been found when he spoke his single sentence. There was no point in remaining in stealth and as he fired at her, that came down.

Along with no point in hiding any longer, there was none trying to avoid the stun shot. She had known she wasn't going to die today and was confident in that.

In a way, there was a look of peace on Jairdain's face as she crumpled and fell over after the shot hit her.

As he watched the body of Jairdain strike the ground with a cold, metallic thud he thought to kill her, though when that subsided he thought to sell her, and when that too vanished he thought to dump her... Whether it was an act of mercy he didn't know, she put up a fight and an admirable one at that, she made him realise something he would never admit on his own, despite the fact that it would never be repeated by anyone in front of him again, unless they too wanted to be shot at and left at the mercy of Koda Fett, something that was rarely given, today may have been the only real exception. So with that, her unconscious self was now outside, laying neatly in the dirt with only one item missing; her lightsaber.

When she would eventually awaken, her lightsaber had disappeared from her person just as Fett did from the planet. Nowhere to be seen, just as his ship was. It didn't take a genius to realise what he had done, retreating off world to take on a new bounty, or to return home. So far that was undecided.

When Jairdain woke up, she was truly surprised to find herself free and laying on the ground of Iridonia. She pushed herself up into a sitting position and stretched to get some movement back into her stiff muscles and rub slightly at her sore head. As she did this, her hand moved to her side and for a moment, her eyes glowed. When they met again, he would pay for taking her lightsaber or she would take it back from him.

Koda Fett was a dangerous person, but so was she in her own way. However, what respect the knight had for him grew by a small margin. He had threatened to turn her over to the sith or the empire, yet had done neither. He wasn't as heartless as he let on and she knew him quite well.

They would meet again of that Jairdain was sure. Standing up, she attempted to figure out where on the planet she was and which direction her home was in. Letting out a sigh at the thought of her home, she shook her head. It was going to be need to rebuilt.
