Private Transmutation of Lead into Gold (Saki)

Another world was consumed.
It could be seen from orbit, a wave of decay and rot spreading across the continents at a frightening pace. The oceans lost their sapphire luster, turning brown and stale as the creatures within died by the thousands. Trees blew in the sways of a fetid wind, withering away into dead husks as everything that was green and good was shorn from the world. As the haze of decay settled over the planet, there was nary a sound to herald its coming save for the howling of the wind as it swept through empty cities and barren prairies.
The multitude of ships anchored in orbit bore witness to the desecration, their crews varying from cold indifference to rapt veneration of the atrocities their eyes had so clearly beheld. Individuals stumbled over their own words in their feverish haste to preach sermons of abrogation with wild eyes and frenzied gestures. They cheered and screamed as a lone shuttle rose up from the dead world's surface and docked with the lead flagship, the Eternal Rule.
Marching out from the shuttle was the object of the crew's immense adoration and devotion, a titanic being dressed in dark finery that walked with authoritative purpose. He was flanked by dark-clad creatures, stalking monsters that shadowed his every step and permitted none to come near their Lord and Master.
Rising up through the ship's decks, Darth Carnifex emerged onto an observation platform located near the prow of the Eternal Rule. Waiting for him was a single individual, a Togruta red of skin and voluptuous of shape. She was dressed in the vestments of an officer, the symbol of the Sith Eternal at the center of a gear emblazoned on her jacket breast. Around her waist was a utility belt containing various instruments and tools natural to her station, as well as a powerful stun-baton capable of incapacitating even the brawniest of men. She had her back to him as he entered, but she quickly turned and displayed the proper respect for his Lordship.
"Rise," he said with a commanding voice. When she did, he walked over to stand beside her as his eyes glanced from her to the wide ceraglass viewport that dominated the wall. Below was the world that had just been sapped of vitality, an ugly stain on the blackness of the cosmos.
"The world has been drained, and now its resources belong to us." He glanced back down to her, his gaze piercing and uncompromising. "What is the status of the fleet's production?"

She could feel the very life of the planet disappearing from the force, watching the very planet die before her as she stood watching indifferent of the matter. Why should she care? No one cared when she was forced from he planet, when her husband, her king had all but disappeared, when she was adrift with her loyalist low on fuel and supplies with all but no hope. Then lord carnifex came to her and offered hope, love, home, purpose and above all ensured she needed but nothing.

Unlike these frenzied devotees, she was not disposable in her eyes, her work and expertise with working on the massive war machines was key to all before them. Hearing the doors opened she turned and was down to a knee bowing respectfully towards her master, slowly when commanded she stood and turned back towards the view port as she raised a head hearing what she know already. Turning fully to face him she spoke

minor delays the...volunteer work force got a bit rowdy but of course nothing that I couldn't handle myself and I am proud to inform we are on time and on schedule to meet peak quota. With these new rescoursces from this...rock we will be able to ramp up production even more

Formal, just like a business woman would be, yet in her own was like these fanatics this was her devotion to him, her purpose, the one purpose

To serve him

"Very good," replied Carnifex.
Malsheem's automated factories and shipyards had been working overtime in preparation for the inevitable struggle that Carnifex had predicted would arise from the conflicting engulfing the Tingel Arm. A new power was rising, one that had long been buried and forgotten.
He could feel in on the wind...
The Dark Side was strong.
But, for the first time in a long time, it made him feel... uneasy. Something was different, something was off. Carnifex couldn't pinpoint what exactly made him feel this way, such a rare experience for one so often in control of every aspect of his being. It disturbed him, and thus he had thrown all of his resources into producing an army at breakneck speed. Fortunately, he had a capable administrator and taskmaster like Saki Lin at his disposal. There had been some reservations at how one of his concubines, ostensively there just for his own amusement and pleasure, could fulfill such an important role as Chief Engineer; a function that was often given to someone with a more appropriate background.
But Saki Lin had done as he had asked and had proven herself worthy of his trust.
Reaching out, Carnifex cupped her chin in his hand and rubbed his gloved thumb over her plump lips as he stared into her eyes.
"I am very pleased, pi'nid. You have performed your tasks exceptionally."

She knew the challenges, many within the organization didnt see her worthy of such a position given she was just a mere concubine to lord carnifex. What none of them knew was she had past experience design and even building ships long before they were even born and as such she maybe sure to hide this skill to all but her master

She felt his touch and a sense of euphoria came over her as she closed her eyes and took a shaky breath and then let it out as she sighed and opened her eyes with a big bright smile of pure unwavering devotion to Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex

I live to serve you my master, and i will serve with every fiber of my very being if i need to...i will not fail my tasks given

"I do not anticipate that you will fail me."
Outside the viewport, dozens of ships started descending on the barren ruined world. They were great wheeled ships, wrought of gnashing teeth and grinding gears. The world would be whittled away beneath their trespass, reduced to nothing as the earth was scoured of all material wealth. This wealth would be the fuel that propelled his ambitions forward.
Millions of years of evolution, thousands of years of civilization, wiped away in the blink of an eye. Carnifex would not mourn them, none among his following would. Those who might have mourned were gone now, consumed by the darkness which he had unleashed. Those who did not perish were made into slaves, their thoughts expunged and their minds reduced to little more than empty shells. They were being assembled down below in the ship's hold, prepped for their new existence as slaves.
"I want to show you something," he said in a husky whisper, turning away from her to face the door he had previously entered. A moment later two guards entered, a magenta-skinned creature clutched between them and bound in metal shackles. The creature struggled against their bonds but was not strong enough to eclipse the strength of the two guards holding them. Their chest rose and fell in rapid succession, clearly terrified by their surroundings and their predicament.
"This is an Asa'nyx, a creature whose people are scattered and divided. There exists little more than sixty thousand in the whole galaxy, barely enough to fill a starcruiser. I have brought this one here because I believe that it can be useful to us. A stepping stone to one day enslave all Asa'nyx and create an easily controllable servile race, one that will serve the needs of the cult families on Malsheem as well as ourselves, naturally."
