- Synthetic Netherworld Crystal
- Ilum crystal
- Bifurcating cyclical-ignition pulse
- Silvery green blade
- Bonded: The Ilum crystal is bonded to Nimdok. He can sense its presence (within reason - if it's on the same planet as him, certainly, but not if he's on one world and its on another) and track its location through the Force.
- I Call Upon the Sword: The Netherworld crystal makes the blade deal more damage upon contact with Dark Side or Netherworld-originating entities, ranging from Sithspawn to Shadows, Shrouds, demons, and other immaterial beings, including those possessed by such spirits. It is less effective against corrupted individuals, and has virtually no effect on Light Side entities such as the Luminous and non-malevolent Force Ghosts.
- Waterproof: Unlike most lightsabers, this one can function underwater.
- Projecting Your Weakness Onto Others: Not many people know this, but uh... Nimdok himself is a Netherworld entity. He is possessed by the spirit of a dead man who used his body to hitch a ride back the to world of the living. If someone were to get a hold of this lightsaber and turn it against him, it could very well banish said spirit back the Nether. It would also hurt a lot, y'know, getting hit by a lightsaber.
- Blade's Bane: Cortosis, songsteel, and phrik are all lightsaber resistant materials than can block or short out the blade.
- The Sword That Can Be Broken: Damaging the hilt (which is encased in durasteel, a non-lightsaber resistant material) or frying the circuitry with EMP, ION, or lightning may cause the blade to short out or even render the weapon totally unusable until it is repaired.
- Force Voids: The Force-related attributes of the lightsaber, particularly the benefits afforded it by the two crystals, will be nullified if the weapon is within range of a Force-cancelling field.
“My crystal,” he whispered, breathless and shivering. “Is somewhere over there…”
He turned and pointed even as his feet carried him over to the pale glow within the cavern. His fist closed around the light and he yanked the crystal free of its nest. Clutching his closed hand to his chest as he stumbled back to Desbre, he felt as though he were holding a moonbeam. He opened his fingers a crack just to make sure it was really there.
The gem which sat at the center of his palm was viridian. It would produce a silvery-green blade, a rare color among lightsabers, but there was otherwise nothing special about it. At least, nothing save that it belonged to him. - Tom Kovack, "Ice and Kyber..."
Tom Kovack was, for a time, a persona adopted by Nimdok in order to blend in among the other Padawans receiving training from the Silver Jedi. He got as far as the Gathering on Ilum, in which he sought out a crystal. While attempting to reach one that was calling to him, he fell into a pit in the icy floor of the cave and had to be rescued by fellow Padawan Desbre Gensan. He then took the crystal, which was viridian in color (not to be confused with viridian crystals from the Viridia system) and constructed his own lightsaber with it.He turned and pointed even as his feet carried him over to the pale glow within the cavern.
