To Honor the Jedi Order

Well she had seen people manipulate their lightsaber where it happened to be in a reverse grip, she had even done so herself, but she hadn't known their to be a form that had it as a variation. She nodded in response to his proposition, "I would like that very much Master" she said softly, holding on to a subtle smile. Anyone who knew Ru, knew learning and studying never stopped. From the time she woke up she was training, or reading.

"Well, at first, the form is largely defensive, you back it up with force proficiency, but as you learn, you can add more aggressive tactics. Let us start with the basics Sochi, get your saber into a reverse grip." He instructed, taking a training saber off the rack once more. He knew he would have to instruct her further until she gained a better understanding of the form. But Marek was one of faith, and he believed Sochi could have the basics down by the end of the day, she had quite a lot of promise.

Her eyes were wide as she listened to her master. Just the hilt of her blade, gripped by both of her hands, held out in front of her. Another defensive form? Hmm this would prove very interesting. She wondered why she hadn't stumbled upon it yet. She nodded when he stated they would start with the basics. He told her to get her saber into a reverse grip. Her eyebrow raised when she quickly flipped her lightsaber hilt around in her right hand to where she held it reversely. Hmm this would prove really interesting indeed. She focused and prepared for the lesson ahead. She would have to admit the blade wasn't anywhere near uncomfortable in her hand. Definitely not what she was expecting.

"Alright, again, basics, block the bolts from the training probe." He instructed, tossing up one of the ancient spherical devices that Jedi had trained with for the Force know how long. The little ball would float upwards, the fire off small stun bolts at @[member="Sochi Ru"], slowly, allowing for her to react accordingly to each strike. Marek had faith she would stop the bolts, and that in time, she'd be just as proficient as he in reverse grip combat.

Hmm so far this was turning out to be sort of like the training she did with Master Grayson in Soresu. she ignited her lightsaber as the tiny spherical ball floated towards their area. she brought up her blade in its reverse grip form her hand just below her chin, and her free hand, loose, and hanging at her side. the droid floated in an pattern, and one could hear it charging up for an attempt at shooting an bolt at her. Then she suddenly blocked a bolt, that had came quick than she expected. The grip felt a little weird at first, and would take time to get use to, but she nevertheless completed the first part of the task. some of the bolts she failed to block, but with enough time she began to get the hang of it. She maneuvered her arm so her lightsaber would come up across her chest, and she would occasionally flip the blade around deflecting bolts from the droid. Hmm this was easier when she applied wrist movements, and shoulder motions from Soresu.
