SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTHS
  • Droid: Droids can survive in far more hostile environments than any organic soldier can, and they do not disobey orders nor do they deviate from any supplied battle strategy.
  • Durable: The Titan's laser-reflective armor is highly capable of protecting its internal circuits from exterior damage, enabling it to soak up damage when in battle.
  • Powerful: Its array of weapon systems are well-equipped to destroy nearly any enemy that comes across its path, as well as melting any obstacle impeding its advance.
WEAKNESSES
  • Droid: The same programming that enables the Titan to carry out orders ceaselessly and without deviation also leaves no room for creative ingenuity or improvisation.
  • Slow: The Titan's hulking form and marching gait do not lend to enhanced mobility, and the war droid is more akin to bipedal tank than an agile soldier.
  • Heavy: Coming in at two-point-five tons in total weight, the Titan war droid is a massive piece of military hardware that requires special equipment to move into battle.
  • Specialized: The Titan is designed for only one method of use, and that is the facilitation of war and the destruction of the Empire's enemies. It has no, and knows no, other purposes.
  • EMP: While portions of the Titan war droid are better protected against electromagnetic and ion attacks, enough concentrated assault via these methods can lay the massive war droid low.
DESCRIPTION

When the Sith Empire attacked Balmorra during its earliest excursions in the Core Worlds, they absconded with several technicians, engineers, and large swaths of technical equipment as they left. These captured assets were placed under Chief Engineer Sakarbaal's authority and their brilliant minds were put to use in designing new combat automatons for the Sith Empire's military.

Primarily inspired by the Balmorran SD series war droids, the Titan heavy war droid adopted many design cues from that series and added several layers of Imperial aesthetic design overtop of it. The result was a towering droid armed to the teeth with cutting-edge weaponry, internal components, advanced servomotors, targeting systems, and other highly developed technologies.

Though full production of the war droid was not in full swing until after the Siege of Commenor, the droid's usefulness became readily apparent as it was deployed to frontier worlds to aid in the Empire's expansion across the Tingel Arm.
