While a nice post, it doesn't explain a lot of chaos tbh, I was quite confused when I first used the site
The toughest part about putting together material that helps roleplayers is, getting information from roleplayers about how to better the systems is like pulling teeth. I don't say this to be rude, but to illuminate the issue about getting a message like the one you just posted.
For example, the first things I do is:
1. Who is this person making the complaint?
2. Why did they make this complaint?
3. Why now?
These questions provide the context to better address the complaint. So, I see you have recently become active, after maybe getting confused 2 years ago after account creation and giving up. What I don't understand is, why you ended back here and responding to this thread.
So with the introductory "context" out of the way, the biggest most obvious question remains:
1. What was confusing about it?
The guide is pretty dated I admit, but still stands as the best written guide for a lot of our mechanisms on the site. And this big boy question that needs answering if any productivity comes out of this necro'd thread is, the context doesn't seem to make me think you're here to just complain or just troll... so what was confusing? Everything? I hope you can see how unhelpful that is. I'm not asking so you can rewrite it yourself, I'm asking so I can have some semblance of understanding what a new roleplayer experiences here. I imagine its a lot of feature bloat to deal with, but most importantly, I'd love to understand better how you ended up back in a 2 month old thread to make a generic unrealized complaint about a tutorial guide that has been pretty foundational to new member's experience.
