OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Tintagel
  • Classification: Homestead
  • Location: Cophrigin V
  • Affiliation: Arrius Messala
  • Accessibility: Located on the remote and largely uninhabited world of Cophrigin V, Messala's residence can be accessed by anyone with a starship. The grounds feature a landing pad which can hold small to medium sized craft.
  • Description: "Cloaked in shadows, the abode of the Sith Lord looked quite unreal. A scraggly techno-castle topped by an enormous crescent-shaped structure, it both imitated and clutched at the moon, as though harboring ambitions of dethroning the pale satellite and assuming its place in the night sky." Arrius Messala, "A Dream to Some, A Nightmare To Others"
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • EXTERIOR
    • Landing Pad - Located east of the main building, the landing pad can hold small carrier craft such as shuttles. There is a grassy field between the landing pad and the main entrance. It's a short walk, though it can be a pain if the weather is bad.
    • Entrance/Courtyard - A solid wall surrounds the castle to keep wildlife out. Directly through the gates is the courtyard, an open area, then the entrance to the castle proper.
    • Gardens - Located at the southern end, this is an area of well-kept land devoted to a large, lush garden, complete with walkways, ponds, a gazebo and other similar structures.

  • GROUND FLOOR
    • Main Hall - Room with a staircase and a lift leading to the upper floors, as well as various doors leading to other rooms at ground level.
    • Dining Room - The first room on the right in the main hall, is directly attached to the kitchens. While not extravagant, it is kept clean and furnished with a large wooden table that seats around twelve people.
    • Library - This room is the largest in the house, dwarfing even the laboratory, and takes up three stories. The walls are lined from floor to ceiling with a massive trove of both traditional and digital media gathered from across the galaxy.
    • 857cfa850a3447a3930b21737d0eb358.jpg
    • Study - Attached to the library on the ground floor is the study, a small rustic-style room containing a fireplace, sofas, chairs, rugs, and a few more shelves and curios. This area is used when Messala has private business he wishes to conduct. The walls are soundproofed.
    • Living Room - Small area containing sofas and chairs, tables, shelves with books and gadgets, etc. A round door on the far wall opens to a lift that leads down into the basement.
    • carstenstueben-home-1-7822b4d9-tk2o.jpg
  • SECOND AND THIRD FLOORS
    • Master Quarters - Messala's private quarters, kept locked at all times.
    • Guest Rooms - Numerous rooms are reserved for guests to stay in. Designed to accommodate a variety of different species, the beds and amenities are all adjustable.
    • Children's Quarters/Schoolroom - Takes up the rest of the second floor. Several rooms are reserved for Messala's Children, allowing each to have their own private quarters. Some are yet unoccupied. This area includes the third floor as well.
    • classroom_by_grafit_art_daws6s8-fullview.jpg
  • UNDERGROUND
    • Laboratory - Messala's lab is located in the basement. It is surprisingly small, no bigger than a castle cellar, and quite limited in terms of equipment. This is intentional, as he likes to keep things minimalist and, if possible, mobile. The Dvirat Motina are usually found here, though they are free to roam the grounds.
    • Dungeon - Wouldn't be a true castle if he didn't have one. This particular dungeon's cells hold a number of amber prisons.

SECURITY
  • Security Rating: Maximum
  • Defensive Systems:
  • Security Forces:
    • Organics
      • Sith Changelings - There is one Changeling, a male, who doubles as both a household servant (in a position similar to that of a butler) and a guard/assassin should the need arise.
    • Droids
      • HRDs - Programmed for various forms of combat, roughly a dozen serve as castle guards. Consisting of both human and alien models custom built by Messala, some have been integrated into the castle itself, disguised as furniture and other innocuous items.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Built sometime after the conquest of Cophrigin V by the Sith Empire, Tintagel is the private residence of the Sith Lord Arrius Messala. It is suitably remote and much larger than it needs to be, reflecting the strange hermit who occupies it. The castle also houses "Messala's Children", those whom the Sith Lord has adopted or created. There is seemingly only one living servant, a Sith Changeling who acts as a butler and personal guard. All the other household duties are performed by strange droids.

Messala rarely has guests, but the occasional friend, associate, or Primyn Group member may stay there if they so wish, provided they inform Messala of their arrival in advance. The castle's exact size is unknown, but visitors claim it is huge, possessing hundreds of vacant rooms. Most of these rooms are kept locked, however, and none can say what the contents hold.

Hey there! I'll be reviewing your submission. I am a trainee codex judge, so this will require a secondary approval. That said, let's get into it!

Everything looks good. The only suggestion I'd make is concerning the HRDs listed as security. According to the wookieepedia article, HRDs in production are human only. Now, the change needed for an HRD to resemble another humanoid alien species would be very minor so maybe you could add that these alien HRDs were custom-made for Messala in the sub, if that sounds good to you.

Otherwise, this is a very solid sub!
