What types of 'crops'? How do you get enough energy from the crops to grow new ones? If your space station isn't orbiting a planet with a decent sun it won't get enough sunlight for solar. Doesn't mean it couldn't have a backup system like a gas or efficient generator of some type.

[member="Judah Dashiell"], the crops are used to create ethenol. I'm still trying to find plants in star wars that are both edible and can be used to do so. Large domes will house farms, the water itself will be replenished every few years as it will steadily be used. Solar Power will agument the biofuels as a secondary power source, and nucular power can replace it if needed.
