DESCRIPTION

The collapse of the Imperial Confederation further enforced the reality that the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant had been relying too much on Confederation assistance to defend itself from its many foes. To rectify this issue, the Imperial Remnant, in tandem with the N&Z Umbrella Corporation, has begun developing a series of defense turrets that can be installed to protect critically important infrastructure and military bases.

The first of these designs is the so called "TIE Taurus", a combination of an AT-AT and a TIE Fighter. A TIE Fighter cockpit was mounted to the foot unit of an AT-AT and equipped with a pair of NZ RTL1 Launchers, while still retaining its L-s1 Laser Cannons upgraded with Dornean Plasma. An NZ SAP-2A SSA, NZ C.H.A.R.M.01 Reactor Unit and an NZ SS-1 Primera Shield System were all installed within the chassis of the turret, further increasing the effectiveness of the TIE Taurus against a variety of different targets.

That being said, the TIE Taurus is especially well suited toward taking down aerial targets, though it is still quite effective against both vehicles and infantry. Of course, the TIE Taurus, like most defense turrets, suffers from the fact that it is a stationary target, being unable to dodge incoming fire or pursue retreating foes.
