DESCRIPTION
The TIE/rex is an elite space superiority starfighter developed for high-risk engagements demanding overwhelming firepower, rapid deployment, and modular adaptability. Measuring 7.7 meters long and 6.5 meters wide, with a reinforced hull of Ersteel 1333 and solar arrays integrated into its wide-frame wings, the TIE/rex reflects the pinnacle of advanced starfighter engineering. Its viewports, crafted from reinforced quinta polycarbonate lamellar compound, provide exceptional protection without sacrificing pilot visibility in high-stress combat environments. Operating in elite squadrons of twelve, the TIE/rex is a rare but devastating presence on the battlefield.

Armed with eight precision-aligned maser cannons and a twin modular torpedo launcher system, the TIE/rex offers adaptable offensive loadouts tailored to specific mission profiles. Heavy strike missions can equip up to 20 heavy and 50 standard proton torpedoes, while lighter configurations trade munitions for agility. The trade-off is tactical—heavier payloads reduce speed and maneuverability, forcing commanders to weigh explosive firepower against dogfighting finesse. Once torpedoes are depleted or no longer necessary, the launcher modules can be jettisoned mid-flight to restore peak performance.

Internally, the TIE/rex is powered by the cutting-edge NZ C.H.A.R.M.01 hypermatter reactor and guided by an array of advanced systems, including the FAE/S-06 Reactive Targeting Matrix and the Bloodhound magnetic targeting sensor.
