  • Anti-Capital
With dual MG-12 Warhead Launchers and proton ordnance chutes, the Punisher-series heavy bomber is designed with anti-capital ship operations in mind. When deployed en-masse, they are easily capable of threatening any class of starship - be they corvette or battlecruiser and beyond.
  • Ground-Pounder
True to its namesake, the Punisher is a sight to behold when deployed against ground targets, as it can accurately deliver heavy payloads in both high-altitude strategic bombing and tactical low-altitude strafing missions.
  • Defensive Spec.
Contrary to their predecessors and related strike-craft variants; the TIE/ca Mk. II possesses significant defensive upgrades to improve operational and crew survivability, including an advanced shield system, comprehensive countermeasure packages, and a set of swivel mounted point-defense turrets meant to dissuade fighter interception.

  • Slow
Although the Punisher retains an average level of maneuverability, aiding in evasive action; it is still markedly slow given its tonnage.
  • Large Target
Despite possessing significant defensive upgrades, the TIE/ca is still a large target compared to its cousins - increasing its exposure to point-defense batteries.
  • No Hyperdrive
As a heavy bomber meant for en-masse operations, the Punisher lacks a hyperdrive in favor of design simplicity, efficiency, and weight optimization.

There are times when the overwhelming firepower of a Star Destroyer is not equal to the task of eliminating a threat. That is where the role of the TIE/ca Mk. II Heavy Bomber was born. She possesses a formidable array of anti-capital and air-to-ground armaments, in the form of twin warhead launchers and twin bomb chutes - providing tactical flexibility where direct missile fire or carpet-bombing applications are required. The Punisher becomes an exponentially greater threat when deployed in massed squadrons, capable of severely crippling enemy starships and rendering ground based targets as mere craters; all with an increased survivability by virtue of her enhanced defensive systems.
