SON OF IRON | FATHER OF ORDER
Tiber Fel is an Imperial commander, statesman, and Force-sensitive who has spent the greater part of his career in the service of governments that no longer exist. Descended from the Fel lineage, he was shaped by the final years of the old Empire and successive Imperial successor states, serving loyally as administrations rose, fractured, and disappeared around him. While others sought prominence, Fel built a reputation as a dependable officer and capable administrator, one entrusted with difficult assignments, sensitive commands, and the restoration of order in places where authority had begun to falter. Competent, disciplined, and politically unassuming, he remained a man whose contributions were indispensable yet rarely celebrated, operating in the shadow of more prominent rulers and warlords.
His path reflects the evolution of the Empire itself. Trained first as an Imperial Knight, Fel later served among the Empire's Dark Side Elite before ultimately assuming the responsibilities of an Imperial Inquisitor. Those experiences forged him into a formidable Force-user and an uncompromising servant of Imperial authority. He is neither a zealot nor a philosopher of the dark side, however. To Fel, the Force is a weapon, governance a duty, and ideology only valuable insofar as it secures civilization. He is capable of great brutality when circumstances demand it, employing fear, interrogation, and overwhelming force without hesitation, yet he rejects cruelty for its own sake. Violence is a means of restoring order, never an expression of personal indulgence. His loyalty lies not with dogma or individual rulers, but with the enduring ideal of the New Order: a stable, unified Empire governed through strength, discipline, and competent institutions.
Now, for the first time, circumstances present Fel with an opportunity to step out from behind the legacy of others and shape the future himself. Entrusted with securing Imperial influence in the Bastion system, he seeks to transform the world into a stable political and military center capable of serving as the foundation for renewed Imperial governance. His immediate ambition is to earn the title of Regent—not through lineage or conquest alone, but by proving that he possesses the judgment, resolve, and legitimacy to unite Imperial interests under a functioning government. Where previous generations fought to preserve what remained, Tiber Fel intends to build something that can endure.

PERSONALITY
Tiber Fel is defined by discipline, composure, and an unwavering sense of responsibility. He is a man who rarely allows emotion to dictate his decisions, preferring careful deliberation even under the most demanding circumstances. Calm in victory and equally composed in defeat, he projects quiet confidence rather than overt authority. His presence alone often commands attention; he speaks deliberately, wastes few words, and expects the same precision from those around him. Officers and subordinates alike quickly learn that every order is considered, every question has purpose, and every failure carries consequences.
Pragmatism governs nearly every aspect of Fel's worldview. He has little patience for ideological dogmatism, political theatrics, or displays of power intended solely to intimidate. Although shaped by years as an Imperial Knight, Dark Side Elite, and Imperial Inquisitor, he never became consumed by the Dark Side itself. To him, the Force is a tool, as are diplomacy, fear, military force, and law. None are inherently virtuous or reprehensible; their value lies only in whether they secure stability and strengthen the Empire. He is willing to negotiate when negotiation achieves the objective more efficiently than battle, yet equally willing to employ overwhelming violence when peaceful solutions have failed.
Despite this pragmatism, Fel possesses a deeply ingrained moral framework, one defined not by compassion, but by duty. He believes authority carries obligations as well as privileges, and he holds himself to the same standards he demands of others. Wastefulness, corruption, vanity, and needless cruelty are among the few traits he openly despises. While he is capable of ruthless decisions, they are never impulsive or vindictive. Every action is weighed against its long-term effect on order, security, and the people entrusted to Imperial rule. In his mind, terror is an instrument to be employed sparingly, never the foundation upon which a government should rest.
As a commander, Fel leads from the front whenever circumstances permit. He is not reckless, nor does he seek personal glory, but he believes command is earned through shared hardship rather than distance. He regularly visits shipyards, military installations, and front-line positions, believing that strategic decisions must be informed by firsthand experience. This habit has earned him considerable respect among soldiers, who see in him a leader willing to accept the same risks expected of them. He values competence above pedigree, promoting individuals on merit rather than political influence, and surrounds himself with advisors willing to challenge his assumptions rather than reinforce them.
Socially, Fel is reserved and private. He neither seeks admiration nor cultivates a larger-than-life image. His humor is subtle and infrequent, usually emerging only in the company of trusted confidants. He is an attentive listener, often allowing others to speak at length before offering a concise observation that cuts directly to the heart of a discussion. Though not outwardly charismatic, he possesses a natural gravitas that inspires confidence. Allies see him as dependable and steadfast; rivals often mistake his restraint for passivity until they discover that, once committed to a course of action, Tiber Fel is exceptionally difficult to deter.
Underlying all of these qualities is an enduring conviction that civilizations survive through institutions rather than individuals. Fel does not aspire to become a legendary conqueror or a celebrated hero. His ambition is to leave behind a government capable of functioning without him, a stable Imperial order founded upon discipline, professionalism, and enduring law rather than the will of a single extraordinary leader.
