[SIZE=11pt]All of this changed with the dawning of a Great Galactic War. The Sith Empire descends upon Thyferra, reducing much of its surface to ash and forcing Alliance relief efforts out of the no man’s land for fear of future retaliation.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]An oppressive, imperialistic hermit kingdom stylizing itself a reborn Galactic Empire launches an all out assault upon the shipyards over Dagobah.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]After violating a declared armistice between their two nations, the treacherous First Order establishes an illegal blockade of Hydian Way trade lanes from within the Metharian Nebula, threatening to choke off the south.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]Civil unrest sweeps through Alliance space like a wildfire, but rather than break their morale, a people once divided over how far to go to protect the Light, are now united in the certainty that they must wage a war not simply for their ideals but their very survival.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]The moderates fall from grace as it becomes clear appeasement is no longer a viable strategy, and a new Crusade dawns as more and more radical voices take their place. Taking advantage of the public disarray to quietly shift assets from the north, Alliance High Command plans an operation.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]A series of feints all along the former neutral zone would tie up the First Order Navy long enough for a lightning strike conducted by the real assault force to land an establish a beachhead within enemy territory from which to begin carving out the rot terrorizing the Western Reaches.[/SIZE]
