A blink and the HUD changed, marking targets, arrivals, paths, vulnerabilities. The warehouse was inconspicuous, perfect for an underground auction for something high value. The HUD beeped, an image from the client's representative of the stage. Heavy set Twi'lek, protocol droid, twelve security on stage... more in the back no doubt on cams. Package for bid... crate of kyber, black market value of one medium sized crystal... several hundred thousand. A crate would fetch more as seen by the bidders.

They had several options, each with its own obstacles. Could wait and ambush on transit, could incite conflict and make off with their objective in the chaos, could suborn a guard, could join the bidding themselves... a breath, a decision, and the figure slipped through the permacrete they laid upon and disappeared into the room below...

Security room first.

ASSET REALLOCATION: TASK FORCE XESH/WHISPER
NEW DESIGNATION?: CODEBREAKER
ARE YOU SURE? (Y/N): Y
ASSET REALLOCATED.

There was a different approach that needed to be applied here. One with more finesse. More control. Whisper crouched on a rooftop across from the structure that the auction was being held in. Gloved hands began unpacking a dull black alusteel construct. They pulled out a set of rubber-tipped feet from the central pole of the object, splaying them into a stable tripod atop the roof. Slowly, they extended the telescoping mast upwards before folding out each of the arms, the ominous tower resembling a coniferous tree, as black spider like limbs were wider at the base before becoming narrower as they stacked towards the top.

The multi-spectrum antenna was like a scarecrow standing against the night sky. Whisper, the carrion feeder that had mastered it.

They ran a cord from it's base into the back of a transceiver unit before daisy chaining that into a folding portable dataterm that was redundantly armored in thick plastoid. As it began to boot they slowly settled into a cross-legged sitting position beneath the parapet of the roof. The inconspicuous antenna tower the only sign that something was afoot. Easily mistaken for a holovid transceiving antenna by a layman, it too might go unnoticed.

Whisper removed their mask. Working here, alone, was one of the only times they could truly do so. As the soft glow from the screen illuminated their features, they brought a cigarra to their lips. They reached over to the transceiver unit, cranking the power as they opened a packet sniffer. It was show time.

They lit up the tube of tabac and drew heavily from it. Smoke pushed out from their lips as they watched devices flock to their relay. It identified itself as a communications relay satellite. Due to it's proximity every wireless communications device in the nearby area began to migrate their transmissions to it. It was a natural function of comlinks after all -- send your signal to the relay that it has the best connection to, so that that relay can pass it to the next, and so on.

The difference here? Whisper's relay did not just harmlessly pass signals through. It listened to them. As the list of devices grew, a gloved hand reached to the transceiver, slowly dialing down the power output until the influx of new devices slowed. They didn't care what every man, woman, and angsty teen was sending in this neighborhood. The only devices they had interest in were just across the way.

Whisper took another drag as they began evaluating the packets that were being passed through their terminal. Most were unencrypted. Some passed that, commercially available encryptions. Obvious to Whisper from their experience in working in this field. They wouldn't hold up to a dedicated attempt to break their algorithm. And then passed that there were devices running obviously incredibly sophisticated encryptions. Patterns of noise in the data so immense in size and in seemingly randomness that they were effectively meaningless.

Whisper knew better. No encryption was truly random, or truly uncrackable. After all, someone receiving that signal had the key to unscramble it. There was a rhyme and a reason to the mess of data, the only question was how much computational power and time would it take to break the encryption. For truly cutting edge encryptions? Hundreds if not thousands of years with the best that Whisper had. There were ways around it, but today, they had only passing interest in those methods.

They began starting from the bottom of the list -- not the unencrypted communications. Those were clearly civilians caught in the proximity of their trap. The commercial encryptions though? All running a publicly available encryption did when Whisper looked at it was tell them you had something to hide. Whisper's gloved fingers selected their targets, initiated their decryption program, and one by they began to fall into place. Signals broken; battered; submissive. They would serve Whisper.

Whisper would know all they had to tell.

Dorian Sevenar's Disguise

Dorian Sevenar watched as the item that was being auctioned it was just as he'd expected , Kyber Crystals a large amount of them and hopefully ,enough to power some of the weapons both Sevenar and Marlon Sularen had been secretly planning to create although such plans for Special Weaponry had to be delayed due to their current situation. Soon enough , Dorian Sevenar made his first bid , bidding 125 Million Credits for the Kyber Crystals. However the very fact that a large amount of Kyber Crystals were being auctioned meant that both the Alliance and New Imperials would rush to seize the Crystals at all costs in order to use the crystals for themselves and/or prevent someone from using it against them.

However Sevenar had eyes everywhere and he knew exactly where to strike. He took out a commlink and gave one of his
Agents outside the bidding area information on the current situation. "Agent O , i have eyes on the target. Contact Mobile Task Force Aurek-1 and inform them that they are to prepare themselves for Deployment. If our rivals here get their hands on the asset we'll intercept them and ensure we get our hands on said Kyber Crystals." Agent O quickly responded immediately adjusting to these new development. "Roger that , Director-Admiral , should i inform Commodor-uh i mean Captain Cerensp about the recent developments?"

"No , i'll inform Cerensp myself , right now we need to ensure that neither the SIA or COMPNOR get their hands on these Kyber Crystals. Have the Agents keep a close eye on any suspicious activity , we can't afford any failure here understood?"

"Yes sir , i understand."

Sevenar then put his commlink in his pocket and adjusted himself in his seat. This was the ultimate test for Sevenar , Berik and the Politorate. Should they successfully complete their mission it would only ensure the further expansion of the Politorate and future operations against the Galactic Alliance but should they fail , it could mean the end of Dorian Sevenar's Career. For now , Sevenar and his Agents would observe as the bidding continued with Sevenar making yet a second bid , this time with 150 Million Credits. It was an all-or-nothing fight between all parties involved and Sevenar had no intention in losing.
