Those Things Still Exist?

Nyx

Insert Hilarious Title Here
Ah, Dantooine. A planet of farmers, plains, and most importantly, far, far away from the sands of Tatooine. Just being across the galaxy from the dustball put some extra pep in the Twi'lek's step, although she knew very little of the world. Admittedly, she knew very little of pretty much every world but Tatooine, so it wasn't much of an achievement on Dantooine's part.
At any rate, Dai looked out over the small settlement, the Padawan appreciating the lack of sand. She had seen plenty of small villages like this on Tatooine, though those were mostly moisture farmers instead of just regular food farmers like these people. Not that Dai knew much of a difference.

Snapping out of her thoughts, the violet Twi'lek turned to the two Jedi with her. One was her Master, [member="Valiens Nantaris"], the other an unknown, a one [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]. Both Masters of the Silver Sanctum. She knew little of Master Dragonsflame, other than he was quite accomplished with a lightsaber.

"So, um, I guess we made it." She noted, her silver eyes roaming over the landscape. But something was. . . off. She couldn't explain what it was, but something felt different than it should. It wasn't sinister, to her at least, but it definitely felt. . . unique? Another word for different. Dai wasn't too good with words.

"I don't mean to be a spoilsport, but does anyone else feel that weird thing?"

Niria Chagteath, one of the few remaining Purebloods, had grown terribly bored of Eriadu. Her still teenaged mind had wished for adventure, and excitement. WIth a Firespray in her name, she was able to travel beyond her homeworld, and see the galaxy at large. For the most part, she remained in Alliance space, but she now decided to leave it, and head for neutral space. An ancient world, with equally ancient history called Dantooine. She didn't know too much about it, other than it had an ancient Jedi temple, from before the Plague destroyed everything. And if it had a temple, she could possibly learn how to use this thing called 'The Force.'

The Force. Most people have heard of it, and they usually think of the Jedi and Sith. She didn't know much about it, other than that she was 'Force Sensitive,' and it was natural for her species to use it. She knew the Jedi were also the good guys, and she didn't want to reinforce the stereotype of her species that all Purebloods are with the Sith. So, to Dantooine she went, in search of the Jedi, or at least a way to find them.

All the while, she struggled with the natural affinity with the Dark Side that was the hallmark of her species. Created by the mating of Human Dark Jedi and the Massassi and Kissai species thousands of years ago and made plausible with Sith Alchemy, her kind was destined for Darkness and evil. Even those who became Jedi always struggled against the call of the Dark Side, like a tamed predator struggling against its instincts to fight and hunt its prey.

As she neared the outer atmosphere, she could sense something... different. Life, of course, but... There was an unusual Light, and it brought serenity to her mind... Whatever was there, its very existence helped lessen the call of Darkness... But it did not negate it. She knew she would always have to fight against it, no matter what.

And she was frightened by that fact.

Nantaris looked around at the farmlands. He grunted.
“I guess we did,” he said. Never much of a pastoralist, the Jedi Master preferred activity and excitement to farms and such. Still, now Dantooine had been freed from the control of the Primeval they could do some good here.

He was about to ask about what weird thing, and that the only thing he felt like feeling was a certain pair of lekku.
He held off because he did sense something odd.

“I feel it as well. Close by…”
Looking around at the peaceful landscape, his eyes were drawn to a ship coming in at the nearby spaceport.

“I think we should go investigate,” he added eagerly. Anything to get into the town and out of rural backwardness was good for him.

You know, there was one planet he really disliked. Dantooine. There was nothing wrong with the planet itself, or it's people... It was simply a source of bad memories. He'd lost his teenage years here. He'd lost his freedom here. He'd lost his memory here.... It was here that the Sith Empire's scientific teams had taken everything from him. Took away everything that he was.... And placed him in a simulation. A test. A facade... Made him a test subject, in a world that was not his own. A world that was a game to them.

All of this was all he saw... When he saw Dantooine.

But a mission was a mission, no matter the location. And Josh understood that. The Jedi Master didn't know either of his two co-workers whatsoever, though he did know [member="Valiens Nantaris"] by reputation within the Silver Sanctum, from the rare times he had made an appearance on Voss...

He was about to ask for a reminder of their goal, just to clarify and be sure, before he sensed something just as the others did.... It felt ominous. Brimming brown eyes gazed along the landscapes of Dantooine for it's source, but eyes always betrayed what the Force may better tell you...

"I sense it too. I agree with Master Nantaris on this" He spoke calmly. "It would be best to investigate."
