When the air in her chest seemingly reached its peaked, she'd failed to produce nothing of what was anticipated - a feint.

She'd deftly went after her blaster pistol, drawing the weapon with rapid reflex and firing off two rounds aimed for the Jedi's head. Though whereas she wanted to spray him with continuous fire while advancing her position, she'd still have to deal with the debris separating the two. Following up those two previous clicks, she ducked forward, bending her right knee and outstretching her left leg. A large boulder flew right pass her; it was a close one.

Not letting up, she released three more blaster rounds. Bursting into a stride as she powered off her right foot - she was on the move.

Running, she'd twist her body so that her left shoulder came first. Augmented, she threw herself through the dirt and a quick pivot allowed her to twist and swing her right arm around with her pistol in tow; there were a few more blaster rounds to follow before she ignited her saber again to slice right through a boulder.

Widening her stride again, she stepped right into a bunch of smaller rocks to follow. She went through them like a bulwark, taking the damage head on but not stopping. Her next target was clearly Veiere.

A wild woman.

Ahhhh!

The Jedi's gaze squinted as his senses screamed internally, precognitive warning of the shots fired guiding his hands more so than conscious intent, fingers curling as if he were physically taking hold of two rather large mounds of debris casting them both in the trajectory of the blaster fire giving Veiere time to drop his right hand to his lightsaber and igniting the blade once again in self-defense. Stepping forward, he began to walk towards his Apprentice [member="Romi Jade"], intent on meeting her half way, though not without the aid of the force with his free, left hand reaching out towards her...

[member="Taeli Raaf"]'s presence was heavily influencing the fight, Romi's presence within the Force had eclipsed Veiere's own now and posed an even greater threat to him than he had considered possible. The Sith Lord seemed to be arming her with a wealth of control over the Dark Side, and the more that Romi were to make use of it, the deeper and darker her corruption would become. His previous use of Force Light had been countered earlier, though he had also held back on it's practice out of concern for harming the young woman whom was closest to family more so than any other, it was a mistake that Veiere did not intend to repeat.

From the palm of his left hand, the light erupted once more. This time the power summoned fourth was so bright that it dissipated even the shadows of anything standing within it's path; a great wall of white blinding light that washed over the entirety of the clearing they were stood upon, all of which rushed in the direction of Romi Jade, yet was intended for her would-be new Sith Master and Veiere gave everything he had to meet the strength and experience of the Sith Lord as best as he could manage.

They never learn, she thought, as Veiere attacked with a far more potent application of Force Light towards her shade and Romi. The clearing was filling with light, the Jedi Master attempting to banish the shadows... probably destroy her protective shade and rupture Romi's connection to the Force... to the dark side. Unacceptable, she thought, completely unacceptable. But as she had said before, the brightest lights cast the darkest shadows.

Yavin IV was a world of the dark side, as much as Skywalker had tried to turn the world into a Jedi praxeum centuries ago. Naga Sadow and Exar Kun had irreversibly stained the world in darkness, between the rituals they did on the world to their lingering presences within the temples of the world. The jungles were a natural expression of the cycle of life and death, of survival of the fittest. A perfect expression of the dark side at work within the natural world. The edges of her shade were starting to burn away, but those glowing eyes were sparking with power.

"Fool!" she said, a taunting laugh issuing forth. "This world was claimed by the dark side long ago. Your light has no power here! Hadzuska iw Iyiyirau, Midwan iw Zutahori. Asidra ri Rokatsa is sis Kurja, dia nuri Nimyi Zutaikima is qyasik!"

From beyond the clearing, shadows of unending blackness formed and launched themselves at the conjured light. Her Sith magic strove against the light, piercing it in places as the shadows tried to reach Veiere. He had his own reserves to call upon to fuel his Light, but a moon's worth of darkness was at her command to extinguish that light. To smother it and its creator, drag him down and stain his connection to the Force with darkness. If the moon didn't have this power to draw on, her spell wouldn't be nearly as effective. A neutral location in the Force, or one steeped in the light, would have been a far more practical location for such a meeting. Plus... the struggle between the two would be sensed in the Force and the Saaraishash would be deploying their forces to their location soon.
