The Hound of Keldabe
Character
The Garon homestead was a large veshok log house about ten kilometers north of Keldabe and on the kelita river and fringed by a grand veshok forest. The main entrance was a large double wooden door that one open would expose the main central room known in mando’a as karyai that resembled an ancient dining hall. Complete with a fire pit in the center that was surrounded by a long dining table which was perfect for gatherings of all sorts. If you would look to your left from the main entrance there was a kitchen with a open layout giving it direct access to the karyai. You look to the right and there was a bar that was fully stocked with all sorts of liquor. You look straight ahead and passed the dining room there was double doors that matched the entrance that lead to an outdoor deck and that would lead down a wooden path to the boat house off the Kelita river.

The living quarters were in the basement built of stone, with all the rooms stemming off the single long hallway and a trap door in the center that would lead to an emergency escape tunnels that would lead to multiple redoubts and even secret hidden entrances In the forest.

Attached to the main home were a bunk house that could house twenty guests, more if there was cuddling and a medical room stocked for the worse. There was a mechanical hangar complete with landing pad. All in all it was home and it was Strider’s favorite place In the galaxy.

The old mandalorian sat in his veshok rocking chair off the front porch, waiting for his guests to arrive. He had family and friends invited to come, he was here to introduce a new member of his family, a Bothan he had found on the streets of Mos Espa and decided to adopt. The young bothan had very much impressed Garon in his skills of stealth and infiltration. Strider had hired the furry creature on in a special task that needed such a person with the stealth trade. The bothan had spent a month with Strider under his employ and the old mandalorian offered him a chance to be part of his family and clan at the end of the job.

Strider could never have enough children to call his own and possibly more out there that he did not know about. His younger days he was known as the hound of Keldabe, a reputation that he had earned through and through. So far including this new addition he had four children, two biological and two adopted but more would come out of the word works, especially now that old age was starting to make Strider more sentiment and that he began to realize that Legacy was all he had left in life and figured it was best to improve upon such relations, or at least make the attempt of it before he found manda.

He took out a cigar and lit it as he sat there and rocked, enjoying the mid afternoon wind creeping through the forest. He was alone, Tresk was inside getting acquainted with his new home before the guests showed up, so at the moment it was peaceful.

Ordo didn't know much about the Older Mando, but what he did know he liked. His homestead was about 30 kilometers east of Ordo's farm and a good deal bigger from what he had been told.

Ordo set his speeder down about 5k south and began the walk to the Garon plot. He liked walking among the big Veshok trees and listening to Manda'yaims sounds.

It wasn't long before the place came into view and Ordo broke the tree line. His black beskar armor was good camouflage but he had made enough noise to let the Homestead know he was coming.

He raised a hand as he walked up. The old man's rocker made him jealous. He pulled off his buy'ce as he walked up and stuck out a big hand.

"su cuy'gar ner vod" he said

The first thing Atia took note of was the house ebing made of wood. An interesting choice in terms of decoartive and style, but effective if ever it were under attack not likely. Still this was what seemed as more a vacation or relaxation home than a fortress, though Atia would prefer somewhere that could act as both. But, again, that was a matter of taste. She came to the front door, dressed in her more casual wear of Mandalorian brand military wea and rang the bell. Once whoever it was answers she bowed in greeting before saying "A very nice establishment you have here. And I've brought a 'house warming girt' as it were." She handed them a bottle of fine Galucus wine and then entered. "You wouldn't happen to have a arsenal collection I could admire for a while, would you?" she asked straight away.

Strider rose from his rocking chair exhaling the smoke from his lungs and leaving the cigar on the lip of the ashtray. Ordo was a impressive sight for a warrior, a rising star in the mando ranks and would be considered a named man, an important man. “Olarom ner vod!” Strider welcomed the field marshal gripping the man’s forearm to forearm in traditional mandalorian greeting style.

As the two separated Atia was right behind Ordo and next in the greeting line. Strider accepted her gift of wine giving the Galacus an welcoming embrace. “If you look to the walls you will find a sizeable collection of weapons from many cultures and many eras. My actually Armoury is below us in the basement next to my bedroom. But before we play with guns lets crack this wine open and have a few drinks. Maybe we also find my newest son snooping about so I can introduce you two to him”

It wouldn’t be a surprise to Ordo that a mandalorian adopted bothan as a son, inter racial adoptions were a norm in this culture. Atia’s reaction would be of interest and Strider was curious to see it.

The old man lead them both into the house and straight towards the bar. Always a good place to start. Only took Strider a moment to uncork the wine and poor three glasses. He rose the glass in silent salute and took a long gulp, swishing it about in his mouth before swallowing the new wine. He enjoyed it, then again there isn’t any form of alcohol that this man did not like.

“Very good” He replied giving Atia a nod of appreciation

Preliat moved, and stopped to glance around. No black ooze. No zombies. Nothing. It was peaceful, and he could enjoy that. As much as he enjoyed the rush of battle and the thrill of combat, he also enjoyed the tranquility that the homestead offered. Not that he ever knew something like this when he was a child, it was all sand and fighting. He stared around, his hands folded over his beskad. He had left his jetpack and his helmet back on the ship, and only carried the crushgaunts and the beskad. Preliat never trusted anywhere to be safe anymore, and he also kept them on his person...always. It helped to suppress the feeling of dread he had since Elrood.

Preliat turned on his heel, and walked upwards to the homestead. He sighed, before walking upwards. The Rally Master was not obviously comfortable in social situations, or anywhere anymore. He blinked for a few moments, before sighing and heading upwards. He glanced around, before noticing the older man and the newer Mandalorian on the porch. Preliat itched his neck, and spoke softly, despite his reputation."You have a lovely home."

Strider turned to the next new comer, another rising star in the Mandalorian ranks “Vor’e!” He responded to Prelaits compliment on his home “Bal olarom bah ner yaim, vod!” Strider welcomed him in with open arms and signalled for the young warrior to join them at the bar.

Strider poured another glass of Atia’s homeworld wine for Prelait to enjoy. “Come vod, drink up!”

Henry was in his room, getting himself ready and presentable. His father had told him of a party of sorts celebrating the adoption of a new son. He wasn't exactly fond of the idea, but he would suck it up for the moment. If anything, he woul have words with this new blood. Walking out into the main hall, he patted his father on the shoulder. "Su cuy'gar, buir." Then noticing the other Mandalorians that had arrived, he nodded at each of them respectively. "Su cuy'gar burc'ya. How are you all? I'm Henry."

Arla Ordo

Mandalorian Redhead
Character
Arla entered slowly there were lots of people already inside, she peered around the corner and looked, "Su'cuy, welcome home" She did not know this man but there were stories, and the stories made him well rather larger than life. Arla was still uncertain of many things, and walking in like this felt rather intrusive.

She approached the older man, who seemed comfortable in his rocker with a pipe. She waited her turn to introduce herself to everyone, well at least to the host.

As Gil's AUS ute speeder flew over the country side and through the woods, he looked over to @[member="Tali Skirata"] and a small smile came to his face. Since she had come into his life, he felt a little brighter, despite the assumed death of his own daughter and wife. The wounds still felt fresh, and every time he looked at her he was reminded of his failure, but it also gave him hope. Hope for himself, hope for his people, hope for the future.

As they approached the massive home he let out a long whistle. "Now that's a big place..." It was far larger than his own home which only consisted of four rooms on a small plot of farm land. Most of his money went into his company, his armor, and now feeding Tali. She ate nearly everything in sight...Growing Mandalorians. Go figure.

Parking his speeder just outside he opened the creaky durasteel door, and flicked his wrist, shutting the door. Looking behind him at his adopted daughter he frowned. "You comin'?"

Ordo was in good spirits. Better than he'd Been for quite a while. It was good to be around the vode and not have to worry about who he'd have to carry home or who'd carry him.

He saw Arla walk up meekly and decided to give the young woman the type of welcome the quiet vode deserve.

He walked up with mug in hand and wrapped a big arm around her and gave her a big hug. He lifted her off the ground slightly.

"Oya, Ad'ika," he said laughing and waiting for a punch, "just slap him he'll perk up."

Ordo didn't wait long though as he saw his old friend and Manda'lor Gil Skirata walk up and went down to meet him.

The Hound of Keldabe
Character
Strider was full of that warm tingly feeling called happiness, it happen once and awhile and mostly when he was surrounded by family and friends. More and more were showing up, even Gilamar had arrived. “Good I am not the only old fart” Garon chuckled under his breath. “Come on in, don’t waste your time outside, the party is in here” He yelled to those at the door and outside.

Strider gave his son a manly embrace, he wasn’t afraid to show his affection to his family no matter how old they are “hello my son! Good that you arrived, I have a job for you., I need you to get the nerf steaks out. They should be ready by the smell of it” He commanded his son before finishing off the glass of wine and starring at the rest of his guests “Alright, you folk help yourself to the bar. If you expect me to bartend I will never get a chance to make my rounds with your booze hounds about”

Strider moved past from the bar knowing full well that was a dangerous move letting his fellow vode have free rain of his liquor stock. Then a crimson beauty stepped in his path to give him a warm welcome. Strider couldn’t help himself but ravage her with his eye, taking her fully in to his imagination. “Vor enty, ner mesh’la cyar’ika! Where have they been hiding you?”
That was when the big lug Ordo pounced all over her, like marking his territory..... lucky bastard though the man didn't know Strider's true reputation.

It wasn't much but he was traveling to meet his old man. He had parked his ship somewhere vague, because of his alignment. He wasn't of this planet or its people, only having one tie to this place.

He took his partner to stay with the ship and he had taken to a speeder. Driving through the land, approaching his home. His cloak around his body and covering his face from view. Many might wonder if it is friend or for.

An invite from a former client. Odd. But still, the man was a mandalorian, and as such it would be best to stay on his good side. The Bothan let his carbine hang under trenchcoat, and his pistol at his side. Walking in, slowly, cautiously, he eyed the room, searching for his host. The men in here seemed better than those of the title he had met in Mos Espa, or at least seemed it. Maybe they were. It didn't matter to him. Spotting @[member="Strider Garon"], he slowly approached.

Upon being directed to the walls where the weapons were Atia thanked Strider before going to look herself. Passing by his 'son' she stopped for a moment to clarify to herself he was indeed a bothan before simply nodding in acknowledgement to him. After that she went back to looking through the weaponry Garon had collected. As others arrived Atia only looked to see who it was, not say hi or anything like that. She was silent the entire time, just looking at the weapons. If anyone did come over she would merely greet them before letting them do all the talking, otherwise she would not say a thing. It was somewhat clear that she was avoiding everyone in a sense.

Strider caught sight of his wayward son, Grimm. He hadn’t seen the boy in a while as it seemed Grimm had his own path to fallow a path that even Strider could not veer him off. Instead, it was always best to be as supportive as one could when one of your nestlings decide to take flight. He would have to catch up with him later for Tresk had come in view and it was time to introduce the newest addition to the rest of his family and friends.

The old mandalorian moved up to the young bothan’s side “ CAN I HAVE EVERYONE’s ATTENTION!” Garon’s voice echoed about the log house with confidence. “ I would like to introduce my newly adopted son, Tresk Ak’lya !” Strider’s hand gripped the bothan’s shoulder tight “everyone should have a home, a family, a sense of belonging and purpose. Like the rest of my family and friends, you Tresk, deserve all of this…….my son!”

Strider and the rest of this clan would put Tresk through the paces of being mandalorian, from soldiering him up to learning the language. Today though, was for celebration.

This is a good day Ordo thought as he headed to the bar and filled a mason jar with Tihaar before he walked up to the Bothan.

"Here go," Ordo said handing him the drink, "Olarom Ner Vod."

Ordo didn't wait to see the Bothan taste it. He just went back to the bar for his own drink and mingled with the assembled vode.

Henry watched as his father introduced the newly adopted. So he would have a new brother now. Smiling at the man, he nodded a little. He would help in teaching him the ways of being a Mandalorian. The combat training h would leave to father, as was only right. Everything else however, the language, traditions, and the tenants, he would be glad in teaching. Walking over to his new brother, he embraced the bothan in a big strong hug. "Aliit ori'shya tal'din. Welcome home, brother."
