DESCRIPTION
Midvinter had come under attack, and Thirdas had answered the call to arms alongside prominent members of his family. A great battle of epic proportions was fought between the allied races of Midvinter and the invading demons of the Underworld. Thirdas took part aboard a Dawnguard shuttle, providing aerial support and directing strafing runs on the enemy on the ground. At some point his shuttle was assaulted by hostile flyers and subsequently crashed on the outskirts of the battle.

Thirdas survived the crash, but was soon surrounded by waves of enemies looking for an easy prey. They hadn't counted on finding a veteran Ranger with an automatic assault cannon, with which the soldier held back the demonic swarm for as long as he had ammo. Once out, he fought tooth and nail with what weapons he had left until he could hold them no longer.

He was overrun, and dealt hideous wounds on both arm and leg. With seemingly no way out, he prepared to pull the pin on a grenade he'd saved in a last ditch attempt to take with him as many as possible. At the last moment he was saved by the appearance of Coci Heavenshield Coci Heavenshield , holding the enemy back anew allowing for Nida Perl Nida Perl and an emergency medical team to bring him behind the lines and begin treating his wounds.

By now his right arm and leg were both unsalvagable; his flesh had turned black and corrupted, and would soon spread to the rest of his body. Amputation was the only choice to save his life, and he agreed to the procedure. With Nida by his side, his arm and leg were removed at the shoulder and knee respectively. By the time he awoke from the operation, the battle had been won at a great cost of life.

It wasn't until his return to the Silver Rest on Kashyyyk that he was provided his cybernetic prosthetics, replacing his lost limbs. They were top-of-the-line experimental designs created by the cybernetic division of the Antarian Rangers, who had been looking for the chance to field test, and the young sergeant made for the perfect candidate.

The arm and leg are of similar design, both providing excellent protection against energy weapons such as blasters and even lightsabers, as well as kinetic damage. The phrik armor plates on the outside slide and bend to the wearer's movements, allowing for smoother motions than most other cybernetic prosthetics, and the durable design allows for great feats of strength. One must be careful, however, for it takes a while to get used to the no sense of touch and finer motorics such as picking up delicate objects are difficult to master.
